My annoying Aunt..

Does anyone here feel me? Like do you have that family member that REALLY irritates you? Embarrasses you? Think they personally know you? Etc? Well I got this Aunt (Obviously). She is soooooo annoying. Okay so she is in her 30s and she acts SO childish. I love her honestly, being immature is fun sometimes, but when you still act like a freakin' child at the age of 30 and have 3 kids? A little annoying. She always embarrasses me, rats me out, and bitches about everything I do. She is not mean at all, but she does give her opinions. My moms side of the family is weird. She is still my aunt and i still care for her...but I know we all have that family member that you just wanna duct tape their mouths shut and tie them up. Like, okay I like dogs. I dont LOOOOVE them to where I want to have like 4 of them. I might have 1, that is small. She acts like I hate their existence. No matter how much I say I like them, she always thinks she knows my mind. Um..I dont see her much..and my family does NOT know me personally like most of my friends and boyfriend. She treats me like a little child when I am 18. I am "technically" an adult right? I have some legal rights to do some stuff in the adult world. *Sigh* Anyways...I just had to vent. She irritates me and I like hearing people's stories if they are similar to mine

 

Go ahead and share if ya want..or state your opinion of how you think my aunt is..(Please dont leave bad comments, because she is still family, and I love my family)

I know the feeling, my mom says a lot of stuff about me to not only my aunts and cousins etc. but also to pretty much anyone we come in contact with lol. I don't really care that she shares it but it bugs me because it opens the door for conversations that I'd rather not have.

 

Like how I cut my own hair, which she felt the need to share with my orthodontist a couple weeks ago.

I don't really feel this way about my family as i have lost a lot of family. In my 18 years of being alive. Even if they annoy me so much i want to scream... I know i only have them for a short period of time. So even if they hate me... even if they protest what i think i know/love you should nod and and agree because you don't know that in 3 years time they might not be here anymore.

 

What i've learnt in my short time is be nice to everyone there no point in stress. Love your life because you'll never know what will happen next

Well I have this cousin, Richard, who was living with my grandmother after he was released from prison. My grandmother was well into her 80's, had lung cancer, and couldn't even leave the house without an oxygen tank. She gave him shelter, food, and a warm bed when no one else would. She even somehow scrounged up enough money to buy him a car so he could work. Not to mention he refused to go back to his wife and 3 kids in Tyler, Texas. And what does he do? He steals from her. By the time anyone realized it she was missing over a thousand dollars worth of possessions that she kept in storage behind her house that she obviously couldn't get too without help. Of coarse he was kicked out. We don't know where he is staying but we still know he is in the city because my sister saw him recently. Hope he dies in the gutter.

 

I also have my uncle Eddie. I think I have actually met him once before my grandmothers passing but been so long that I can't remember. He doesn't even show up to her funeral and then starts lashing out at my parents because he thinks that my grandmother had some kind of small fortune stashed away somewhere that he alone is entitled to. Man didn't visit her but maybe once every 15 years, only living about two hours away from her, then the moment she passes he just swoops in like a vulture. Don't consider him family to be honest.

 

Think that's about the worst of my family lol Don't think I get too embarrassed by any of my family with the exception of my dad always telling really lame jokes when we are in public

I've never understood why family was so important, quite frankly. I've never really had much of a family, though, so perhaps it's just the way I grew up, and because I'm not used to the idea. I find most people annoying, and I find only 2 of my aunts (and their husbands) out of my whole family to be tolerable on a personal note.

I myself am probably the annoying one of my family, but that is because I am the black sheep of both sides. I stick out like sore thumb and everyone is really condescending towards me. I really don't belong, and I am not invited to many family gatherings. I am alright with that though, because as much as they don't want me around, I don't want to be around.

An hour later you started this thread. How do you reconcile the two? It just seems odd that you'd start two polar opposite threads so close together.

 

I am only starting this poll cause I frankly go for immaturity. Sometimes being mature is okay on certain situations, but I hate people who are constantly mature and don't live their lives and have a little fun. What's your opinions?
