"Well why not? I could never turn down a good adventure, been a bit of a weakness of mine, always fun, doing all of this gets boring sometimes, need to get out and enjoy the fresh air once in a while, or in this case, a long while"

As soon as he started speaking he escaped her grasp and frantically ran around the house getting things, he only occasionally went upstairs to grab something small.

"There are more reasons as to why than why not when it comes to this"

He paused for a second, taking a second to catch his breath and look over at Eris, "Look, i have never, ever, ever. Been interested in a mare before, and the same goes for doing something like this, i just... i don't even know anymore, you know what i say? Screw all of this. I don't even care about this anymore, whats the point of learning all this magic when there is nothing to use it for? Besides, i already know plenty of magic, no need to get more than needed"

(( Man, I was at a friends the past two days, sorry I didn't answer. ))

Eris blinked, "I'm not going to stop you. Just think it all trough, it can be dangerous... and some things cannot be beaten with Magic." She tried to warn him, the countless times she got ambushed, where she had to defend herself, hurting other creatures... They were all just trying to survive.

"Rations also make it though, or when you don't sell enough.", she felt irritated for a moment due to the rhyme, "And well... it just won't be easy.", she herself was right now overwhelmed... this stallion... sure she liked him but did he think of what he is going to happen? She took a deep breath and calmed down.

"I... I'm going to prepare a few things okay? My cart will be there where we met this morning.", she smiled feebly and turned around to trot out.

"Okay then, and trust me, i don't think there is anything that can defeat my magic, other than the immortal beings themselves, Luna, Celestia, Discord, Chrysalis, yadda yadda yadda" he tried not to take his time putting the last few things into his large sized saddlebags, he just wanted to get away from all this for an extended amount of time.

He finished getting ready and Extore sat firmly on his shoulder, he headed over to the stall where Eris was still getting ready, he knocked on the counter of the stall with his hoof, "Hey Eris, finished getting ready, how long you gunna take?"

Eris had already packed all of her merchandise into the cart and was about to tear down the stall. The job was rather easy as it was made to be easily built and teared down. You just had to remove a few nails and it is in it's individual pieces that all stack nicely in her kart as well. Once everything was inside she would put a tarp over it and fixing it. "Done!", she then proclaimed and turned towards Magneus. "Listen... what you said earlier... please don't think that you are invincible or something like that. That attitude might work in equestria where everyone is pretty nice and not life threatening... but sometimes I have to travel outside... Griffin Kingdom, The Great Deserts, etc... Tell me if you are okay with that or not. I can still change my route.", she was being serious, one could see that and that she was ready to change her route showed that she actually cared for him... a lot. She never did that before, but he couldn't know that.

((I may have overdone it here...))

"Oh no that's fine, don't care where we go, and as for the invincible thing? Of course i'm not, i know i'm not. But i also know i can take care of myself just fine, for a long time- and by a long time, i mean almost 7 years- I've worked up a Vis powered barrier mechanism, i can't go into detail, but its magic resistant, but its also physically strong, so neither magic or physical force can break it. I've had Luna and Celestia test it themselves, it took many failed attempts to finalize it. But in my most recent test; didn't break, didn't even show any strain, but that's because Vis is so po- well... as i said i can't go into detail, but don't worry about my safe being, i can completely adjust the settings on it"

He pulled out a small glowing purple gem, not patterned like other crystals,

"I am probably the luckiest stallion in Equestria to have gotten my hoofs on this thing, it could power all of Los Pegasus and more, and dragons would probably kill each-other just to get a nibble of this thing" he put it back in his saddlebag and took a deep breath, "But sadly I've used alot of its power while testing my barrier, so i probably have about... 20 uses left in it, now that might seem like alot of power, but the barrier uses more volts than a pony can count, figuratively speaking of course" he reached a hoof into his saddlebag, but then slowly retracted it, "I would show you it but... i don't want to risk losing it. I've already sent a letter to Celestia telling her about this, we can leave once she repl-" Poof! A letter materialized in front of Extore and Magneus took it in magical grasp, "Oh, i 'may' have forgot to mention that i accidentally made him half dragon, and since dragons are resistant to magic, i was not able to turn that effect around, but hey, useful for letters" he chuckled and opened the letter up, he quickly read over it and nodded, "Yup, she's letting me take an extended vacation, and her idea of an extended vacation, is a year. So we have alot of time to kill, but i can return whenever i want" he put the letter away in his saddlebag and looked over at Eris.

Eris wondered how a barrier is going to stop a storm from flooding their camp, from the insects poisoning them or a hurricane sweeping them up, but she just kept silent before he took out another orb made out of magical juice that could control the weather.

"Alright. You can put your things on the kart, in the back.", she would then hop on the front part of it. There was a place where Ponies could put themselves. "And then you can come up here if you want to.", she reached out a hoof towards him.

Magneus levitated off his saddlebags and put them in the back of the cart, he jumped on up to the front seat and sat down, "So uh... where to first? And how long is it going to take?" Magneus could have asked questions for days, but it probably would be for the best if he kept everything to himself for the time being.

"I plan on going towards Fillydelphia before deviating towards the outer skirts of the Griffin Kingdom. There are a few things I am short on, like feathers. You said that danger isn't a problem for you. Well it is not one for me either so we will cut trought the Everfree and at least save a day.", she then pointed at the back portion of the cart. "I brought enough food for two for a week. Even if the trip to Fillydelphia is only three days. Better be safe. Anymore questions before we depart?"

"Uhh... well i was going to ask some more things but... there is really no need to. If thats all then i think we should get going!"

He laid back and enjoyed the cool, gentle breeze that brushed along Equestria's face, it was days like this that Magneus always enjoyed as a child.

((Do they use time skips here at mlpforums? I'm kinda newbie, but from other roleplaying experiences they would time skip at a time like this))

(( AFAIK you do what ever you want and even if it wouldn't be the case I would still do what I want ))

(( Also please don't control her or the cart :P I didn't plan on them departing right away, but let's roll with it now. ))

As the went by Sweet Apple Acres and trough the forest behind it, they started to see darker trees. Those trees were also growing a lot tighter than before. Eris knew they were approaching the Everfree Forest. Dark Magical forests are known to her and she read these signs. To be sure that Magneus was also prepared she would tell him: "We are about to enter the Everfree Forest... normally we will be fine, at least until night." She smiled, trying to be as uplifting as possible.

((Not exactly what i meant, there was a gentle breeze but not from moving, and he wasn't controlling the cart, he just thought they should get going))

Magneus peeked an eye open and smiled, "Fiiiine by me, just make sure not to run into anything, i'm probably going to take a nap" he closed his eye again and tried to tune out the noise of the cart moving, he hadn't learned a noise cancellation spell before, he didn't think he would need one, now he was regretting it...

(( Wow, my last post didn't post >.>? Damn you mobile phone! Now I have to write it again...))

As Eris had predicted the road was pretty calm for the whole day. They managed to make several kilometeres before night fell. "No...", she then said lowly. It wasn't loud though so Magneus could have heard that. The kart slowly stopped, and Eris would jump down from it. They were still in the forest. Around them was quite some space though, enough for them to set up camp. Eris walked back to the kart and gently tried to unload all they would need to sleep outside. It was just a small tent, put up between a tree and a few branches. It will protect them from a possible rainfall. She then went and broke the small branches off the trees. They were dead for quite some time already and thus dead. Perfect to light up a fire. She would place them on a makeshift fireplace before casting a spell on them which almost instantly lit them up.

Once the preparations were done she went and checked if Magneus was still sleeping.

Magneus was already awake from the noise of the breaking wood, he just didn't feel like getting up already, "I heard you set up a bit already, i will just be a moment, its more comfortable than you thing" he curled up in a ball and took a deep breath.

"Yup, done" he got up and walked over to the makeshift fire before sitting down next to it, "Well, this is better time than ever to explain our stories a bit more, you go first. I mean uh... if your okay with that"
