Xievie 498 August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 Well, we have seen over 50 episodes, and have been taught over 50 lessons. I was wondering, what lessons do you value to most? Try to give 3 lesson minimum, and explain why you value that lesson. "Real life is just a crappy game."

Dusty Soul 2,612 August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 " no matter where you go in life, you should never forget that you are the product of your home and your friends. And that is something always to be proud of, no matter what.Sweet and Elite, I love this lesson and take it to heart because it just makes me feel happy that I may have an effect on someone that they will take through life, or they made an impact on me. "Everypony everywhere has a special magical connection with her friends, maybe even before she's met them. If you're feeling lonely and you're still searching for your true friends, just look up in the sky. Who knows? Maybe you and your future best friends are all looking at the same rainbow." The Cutie Mark Chronicles, I know this lesson is true because I've experienced it first hand. My best friend was once swinging on a swing and he ended up almost falling off. He turned upside down and was hanging. I jumped in and helped him. We went our seperate ways. Then during the first day of 5th grade he walks in and we've been best buddies ever since. "it's hard to accept when somepony you like wants to spend time with somepony who's not so nice. Though it's impossible to control who your friends hang out with, it is possible to control your own behavior. Just continue to be a good friend. In the end, the difference between a false friend and the one who is true will surely come to light."Griffon the Brush Off, I've had so many friends become friends with people that really don't think highly of me at all. He actually took my friend and converted him into disliking me. If that hadn't happened though I never would've met my new best friend who is actually my one true friend. OptimisticNeighsayer 478 August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 My favorite lessons on the show, by episode: "Lesson Zero", since it's easy to forget that what we don't do have as much an effect on other people as those things that we do. "Sisterhooves Social", perhaps because it's certainly true that relationships require some sacrifice of self in order to exist, and that although it may come with struggle, are still necessary and beneficial. "Read It and Weep", should be plainly obvious to anypony-- no harm in liking something that isn't "supposed" to be you, and no need to hide it! "Fall Weather Friends"-- It's always been a mantra to myself not to take competition so seriously that you forget everything else that is important. "The Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000"-- More for the subtle lesson that capitalism is a "silly competition"-- irrational, based on individualistic pride-- but still can be very beneficial. And for the triumph of quality over quantity, but that's secondary. "Call of the Cutie"-- I value the lesson more for explaining how one can create one's own niche in life without necessarily being part of the mainstream (that is, having one's cutie mark). Hablo español--Je parle français--日本語を話す--我说中文--...and sarcasm (yeah right!) I compose music. Six Pony Rags

Xievie 498 August 20, 2012 Author Share August 20, 2012 I think my fifth most important is quality over quantity. While it may not be a friendship lesson, it can still be applied to friendship. Plus, we all want quality over quantity from a friend, so give it in return! My fourth has to be to not tamper with love. Love is dangerous, and can even leave dents in friendship. If you push it too far between two lovers, or force two to become lovers, it will really hit friendship hard. My third is how we should stand up for ourself. But then, expand it. Expand it to stand up for others. Safety in numbers. If you have many friends who walk up to help in times of discomfort, that support helps. My second is how you should understand friends and respect differences. It is simple, but required in friendship. My most valued lesson is that Friendship is worth fighting for. Why? Cause it is! That sole lesson is a foundation of friendship. I can't tell you how many times I text someone for help in a time of distress, and get a mere "k lol" in reply. Fight for your friendship. Be selfless. Friendship is indeed worth fighting for. 1 "Real life is just a crappy game."

PegasisterTaco 318 August 20, 2012 Share August 20, 2012 There's a lot of lessons in MLP. We all have to value and cherish them all. Twilight Sparkle taught be to be magical to never give up hope. Applejack taught be to be honest and hard-working. Rainbow Dash taught be to be loyal to your friends no matter what. Rarity taught me to be generous to everyone. Even hobos. Pinkie Pie taught me to laugh even in the toughest of times. Fluttershy taught me to be kind and caring to everyone. Eeyup. Life is an adventure. An adventure of mistakes, accidents, and misunderstandings. That's what makes life life.
