Darkflash glared at her. This could be a problem. He could already sense control of the shadows within her. Another big hint is that she was holding was The Dark Magic, a long sought after book throughout Equestria. "I see you found the book... So, please don't interfere, ok?" He turned and walked towards the jar.

Twilight looks up to Tia. Im glade your back. And i miss my brother so much. And my sister in law too. I have lost so much. I never wanted to see all this death My lady. And now...Luna too....She was my other teacher. *leans on tia* My Lady...if i may be so bold...But can...i be your sister and you be my big sister? *tears running down her face* I have lost all those really close to my heart. You and the girls are all i have left.

 

DD stumbled as the blades hit him. He pulls them out slowly. Ouch that.....hurts. Dude be careful man. We share the same body. shut up i know what im going. Trust me i wont get you killed. I hope not. Walking in the room with the jar. DL....where do you think your going. The soul.....of Discord...is mine. Now...lets finish...this. Turning his Blades into a Guillotine Sword. This is the blade of my people.....It is called the "never cuts twice"..... Now Lets do this. *In a fighting stance*

Shadow watched all of this with little interest. "So wait, I now get to watch two ponies fight, hm, this could be interesting, and what is this Discord you talk about, some kind of power, because I doubt his power beats any I have." She said, setting the book down. "Now go on, get on with it you two, fight."

"Oh please. You expect me to lose to that rusty old thing? Thats like you hitting me with a pillow." He quickly ran over, stabbing him in the stomach, taking his blade. "Why don't you learn that you should just stay away? You can't win!" He ran over to the jar, prying it open. Best. Decision. Ever.

 

Shade watched from far away. A large explosion of darkness, and the loud laughter of DF and Discord mixed together. "It's over, Boss. It's all... over..." She fell to the ground. "And I never got to... get married to the husband of my dreams..." She began to sob.

A shadow formed under Shadow Stalker, and another right next to Shade. Shadow soon appeared right next to Shade. "Why are you crying?" She asked. Her emotions were impossible to read. "Something tells me you knew one of them ponies fighting over there. Would you like me to try to help which everone it might be?" She asked.

DD looks at the pony reading the book. What are you talking about? How do you not know the power of the god of chaos? And what do you mean your power is greater than his? Who is this pony? She feels....strange....But there is a power inside her. Just then DL had pinned them to the wall with their own sword. You.....bastard....*coughing up blood* Hey you.....with the book...come here.....i need to ask you a favor....a dieing wish if you will.

Shade looked up, seeing the shadow. "Y-yes. But the one I knew, even for a brief time, is the villian. Darkflash has power that rivals Discord's, and now he has his, too! There is no hope, now. We can't stop him." She fell back down. "By the way, who are you, mysterious shadow?"

"The name is Shadow Stalker, I shall be back." She said, as she fell back into the ground. "I heard a call." She said, looking at Death Dealer. She slowly walked over to him. "Okay then, what might your dieing wish be?" She asked. She continued to hide all emotions on her face, keeping a blank emotion.

Looking into her face as he was dieing. You say....you have power....Greater than that of.....Discord. If you have such power....can you bring back....the owner of my host body? I cant....believe....you got ....me killed. The one thing i....asked you...not to....do...and you do it.....now we are both going to die... Just shut up....i already feel bad....And im going to get you out of this.....It s what your brother would want. What did you say??? I got him killed......in my search for...power. Please....let him live....while i die. We are two bodies of one physical state..... Please save......Him...while there is still some life left in him.

As Twilight and Celestia walk down the halls of the palace towards the vault, Celestia smiles. The sun coming in through the windows was warm and everything seemed perfect. Except... Except for one thing. Luna was missing. A tear rolled down her cheek but she smiled at Twilight. She reminded her of Luna in a way... Of course Twilight... I would be honoured to have you as a sister.... Thank you. Just then she feels the darkness seeping back into the world. She could feel... Discord. She runs as fast as she can with Twilight to the room and can see what has happened. She feels an incredible rage at Darkflash for being so arrogant as to want to release Discord. You fool! Do you even realize what you've just done? How much effort, pain, and sacrifice it took to lock him away? And you decide to walk up there and throw it away! Ponies have died Darkflash! Shining Armour, Quillusion... and my sister... You are a fool Darkflash! A fool who shall burn in the darkest depths of hell! For the release of the God Discord, you shall pay! As she says that her eyes begin to glow much the same as before and she levitates off the ground, her body going stiff. Her entire body begins to glow then and magic is literally emitting out of her. She lets out a scream in the royal voice and then everything goes white. As it dims... Darkflash is still standing there, protected by a red forcefield. Though Darkflash didn't put it up. An evil laugh rings through the palace. The iconic laugh of Discord though it sounds... altered. As if he was speaking through a fan. Celestia collapses beside Twilight from exhaustion. Performing that spell a second time had completely drained her of all energy. A tear rolls down her eyes and she whispers. You.... You don't know what you've done Darkflash... With that she closes her eyes. She knew she would die, so she wanted to be thinking of Luna. She was so tired... Celestia was tired of everything... The fighting... The arrogance of ponies.... The evil of the world... Everything... She had given up hope in this world... She thought of Luna in her inner mind... And felt peace. Her heart beat slowly begins to drop... She continues to think of Luna and another wave of peace washes over her... Her heart rate drops even lower... And eventually her heart stops beating... She whispers. I'm not tired any more... Celestia breathes for the last time.

 

Boss looked at Shade with tears in his eyes. The state she was in was breaking his heart. He sits down beside her and hugs her tightly, ignoring the screaming pain in his abdomen. Shade was more important. He breaks the hug and wipes her tears away then looks her dead in the eyes. Shade... It's... It's not too late... Before we die I... I want to know happiness.... We... We can get married. Right here. Shade... Will you marry me?

Shadow Stalker looked at him. "You ask something I dreamed to never do again. You ask me to go to the land where dead ponies lie, and bring back a soul. I can make no promises, as Death may not allow it, but I will try for you, and for well you." She said. She moved closer to Death Dealer, touching him on his head. A shadow formed over her, and she started to go downward, though Death Dealer, into it. She shivered as the darkness consumed her, and yet she travelled further down, into the darkness. She appeared on the banks of a long river, scattered with the broken bodies of ponies. She frowned as she started to walk forward. "Ah why if it is not Shadow Stalker, I thought you said you would never return." A completely red pony asked. Well not really a pony, it was a skeleton of a pony, and the guardian to the doors to death. "I have come for a soul." Shadow answered with a frown. "Death will not be pleased, but you may pass." The skeleton said. Shadow walked forward. Around her were the souls of the dead, but she could sense a soul, one not quite dead yet, and it had to be the one she needed. But it was near Death himself, which was going to complicate matters. She slowly walked up to the palace of Death, and into his courtyard. It was filled with the souls of the suffering, the ones on the brink of death. She could see the one she needed, Die Hard's soul, but she could also see Death. "So you have returned." Death said. He was in a robe, covering his whole body, showing nothing, not even his face. "I have returned for the pony known as Die Hard." Shadow answered. "Oh so you want a soul, hmmm, a tough decision, but I think I can give it to you, all I ask in return is the book, The Dark Magic. As you know I wrote it, and in it are the secrets of this place." He said, hoping she would not have it. "My most prized possession is it worth the cost of a soul. Death I will give it to you, and I shall take Die Hard's soul from this place, and this time I swear I will never return." She said, the book floating over to him. "A wise choice." Death said, smiling as he grabbed the book. Shadow grabbed Die Hard's soul in her hands and ran out the gate of the land, and back to the banks of the river. She held a ponys soul in her hands, not for the first time, but this time was different. It was a pony she didn't even know. She started to float upwards, into the darkness above her. She shivered again, but held the soul close to her. She exited though the body she had come in though, dropping the soul and the new body of Die Hard. "It is complete." She said, laying on the floor, breathing heavily, close to passing out. But she had done what she had to do, and saved a ponys life.

In Celestia's subconscious mind, she can hear a voice. It is loving and... almost motherly, yet it is powerful. It sounds distant, yet close. Extremely close. It sounds familiar to her, however it's like she hadn't heard it in ages. It is Luna. Her spirit manifested itself in her sister's mind. It called her, beckoning her to listen. ((This is supposed to sound kinda like spirits in movies do)) "Sister... We are here for you, to support you. You must wake up. You must stop Discord... One last time. If you give up, all of Equestria will suffer. Our death will have been in vain. Do it for Equestria. Do it for yourself... Do it for us."

Just then a cold chill swept across the land. Everything seemed to stand still. The sun itself was starting to be covered as well. This was the symbol of the worst possible thing that could happen. All the girls stopped it their tracks as a pain shot through them. The EOH were glowing frantically. Then stopped. A tear fell from all of their eyes at the same time. The worst had happened. The Sun goddess was dead..........

 

As DH stumbled to his hooves he looks at the body of DD still pinned to the wall. DD??? But how? Wait no DD. You cant die on me. Your all i have left. DD slowly lifts his head. Well.....it....looks like she did it......She got you back......I could not live with myself if i let you die.....I have to much...of your brother in me to let you die. So it looks like you do have a heart. Thank you DD. I will miss my darker half. I will avenge you...my friend. A tear falls from DD eye as he takes his last breath. Thank you......Diehard..........DH looks at the pony on the floor and helps her up. I dont know who you are. But thank you for bringing me back. What is your name by the way?

Your welcome for bringing you back, but please try not to die, I doubt Death will allow me to get a pony I brought back once to come back again." She said. "I lost my most prized possession saving you, so I hope you know something to stop whatever is going to happen, if not, then I know only one thing that might help some." She said.

Twilight was heart broken. As she looked at the body of Celestia she goes into thought. Cadence......Shining Armor....Luna....and now.....Celestia.....Why..why is everyone i love dieing? Why are they leaving me? This is what we tried to stop....but...it just wont work that way. Looking at DL with tears in her eyes. THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!! YOU AND YOUR DARK INFLUENCE ON THIS WORLD IS WHAT KILLED EVERYTHING I HOLD DEAR TO MY HEART! PONIES WHO WERE LOOKING FOR YOU KILLED MY FAMILY! THE DISCORD IN YOU KILLED MY TEACHERS! AND NOW....IM GOING TO KILL YOU. Twilight's element started to shine and then vanished. The other girls elements came off their bodies and shot toward the palace. They also vanished as they reached Twilight. Twi's eyes start to glow and marking appear on her body. A magic aura swirled around her. Her voice changed as she spoke. You will now suffer for you sacrilege.

 

DH thinks about SS said. Well...we could try splitting them up. I know a unbinding spell that we could do. Thats how me and DD split once. But we may need something stronger.....Or you could do it. If you could bring me back from the dead i know you can make these spells even stronger.....Or you could banish them. If you dont know it ill tell you on the way.

Darkflash started laughing. His bewildering Discord and DF mix laugh. "Oh Twilight dear, do you really think you can just beat me that easily? Not even your petty teachers could stop me! I HAVE BECOME THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD!" He dashed over, beginning to drain Twilight's harmony energy. "This is going to be fun!" He could already feel the power of the elements flowing into him.

 

Shade slowly raised her head, smiling a little. "Yes... I do..." Just then, she remembered something.

 

*flashback to 5 years ago*

 

Shade had been 16 at this time. She had known Discord had gotten out, and nopony knew about it. All she could remember is a scythe... She had swung it at him... And he went back into statue form... Was it the scythe that messed everything up? Giving him this power?

 

"Boss... It may not be too late! We need to get to the museum!"

Twilight could feel the energy being pulled out of her. You will not take my power this easily. I will not let my friends down. Twi then warps out of DL grip. She could feel she had lost some power, but could feel it slowly coming back. As she gets her power back she then starts to use every attack spell she knows. They hit DL but they seem to have no effect. She uses magic bolts, flames, weapons, beast and whatever she could think of. They all hit DL but he seem to just absorb everything. Everything i throw at him is not working. This is not good. But...i have to...For my family...for my teachers...my friends......FOR EQUESTRIA!!!! Twilight then charges up all her magic and focuses it into one point. Her markings start to pulsate and shine brightly. Then she fires the beam at DL. It completely engulfs him. As the beam stopped Twilight's markings faded away and her element reappeared on her body, as did the other girls. As she looked up at DL she saw his body was gone. Yes....i did...it....I stopped him.....Yes...everything is as it should be. Just then something started to swirl on the ground. It then turned into a vortex of dark aura. Oh no....what now. In a dark explosion DL reformed and let an evil laugh. No.....no....i tried so hard.....I gave it my all.....and...and i failed....Im sorry princesses....I failed you. Just then as the sun was uncovered by the moon the light shined down on Twilight. She then heard a voice........Never give up....... Have Hope..........

Darklash just continued laughing. "Twilight, this is just so comical! You believe you can defeat me?" Darklash picked her up by the neck. "A terrible mistake. A very, very, terrible mistake." He threw her behind him, followed by a plethora of darkness daggers.

Celestia could feel her soul being swept from her body. As she begins to let go she hears a voice... Luna's voice. Telling her to go back. To fight and to stay strong. She could feel a plethora of emotions swinging through her. Regret, depression, tiredness, anxiety, anger and many more... She calls back to her sister. But... But Luna. They have won... The darkness was to much for even me to handle... This world... This world is no longer. I'm tired Luna... Of... Of life. You don't understand. Everyday of my long life since I was a filly I've been expected to carry Equestria on my shoulders... They all look up to me and I failed them... Do you know what it's like? To have to carry a country on your shoulders? Exhausting... It physically and mentally drains you until you have no more... And then the simply replace you. That's what became of our parents Luna. As they went on the burdens of a country eventually ended them... No pony can do it. Although Celestia wouldn't admit it, she was simply stalling. She waited for a response and got none... She could feel the depression crawling back into her heart and she confessed. I'm... I'm sorry Luna. I... I just want to be with you... You are my sister and... And you were so young for an alicorn... I'm tired Luna... I... I feel peace here that I haven't felt in Centuries... Please just let me have it... I... I don't want these cruel responsibilities any more... To be an alicorn... To live forever... To love the ponies around you... just to see them die off... It's a cruel reality.... To live forever with such a burden on your shoulders... It's unbearable... Do you know how many ponies I have learned to love? To understand? To see die before me? Every single one of those times stings me to this day... I... I don't want to live forever... To be an alicorn is... Is torture... However this place... This place is... Is peaceful... Celestia awaits a response from her sister.

 

Boss is disappointed. He simply looks to the ground and grumbles... He then looks at her. She was beautiful and strong. But now was not the time to get all sappy. Boss was a warrior. And now was time to fight. What Shade said seemed... Vague. However he complies. Together they run to the museum.

Finally reaching the museum, she opened the door. It fell off of it's hinges. "Wow, would be a miracle if the scythe would still be intact." They walked inside, a light flickering above them. Carefully stepping over debris, Shade stopped at a wall. She put her hoof up to a stone, and the wall slowly slid open. Down the stairs was a glowing red light. "This is it!" She ran down the stairs into the red light. Floating inside of a red magical barrier was a scythe that was literally dripping evil. "My father's scythe... Long ago, my dad had been born along with Celestia and Luna. While those two took care of the day cycle, he secretly gathered up stray evil across the land, absorbing all of it. The sisters soon found out about all of this, so they were about to banish him to the empty realm, which is now the Dark realm. Right before his banishment, he created two things: Discord, and this scythe. With the remaining darkness from creating Discord, he stored it in the scythe. That is actually the origin of Nightmare Moon. When she touched it, she began to believe that the night was being shunned. Celestia found out the evil it contained, and put it here, so that nothing evil would happen again. But then... Discord started everything again..." She turned to a keypad, with many symbols on it. Carefully, she entered in a code, and lights began to flash. The red barrier disappeared, and the scythe fell to the ground. Picking it up with her magic, she began to walk back to the stairs. "We need this to stop Discord. If he touches this, he and Darklash will be banished into a negablack hole, from one which there is no escape. Let's hurry."

Shadow Stalker looked at Die Hard. "I don't know, but I do know something that might be a good distraction for awhile. A spell that was written inside of that book." She tapped her hooves together and started speaking something from another language. What she said translated to, "Oh Dark Guardian, come to the surface, back to where you are from, come help me." As soon as she finished, she laid on the floor, tired beyond reasoning, but something was rising from the floor. A pile of blood had formed, and though it rose bones. The red bones of the guardian to the gates to the land of the dead. "I have been summoned." The red boned skeleton pony said. The blood from the ground surrounded him, covering him in a red coat. His eyes were two pure black orbs. "I am in need of you." Shadow said, nearly passing out. "Please, kill that thing over there." She pointed to Dark Lash. "As you say summoner." The pony said. Out of the ground rose a sword. The hilt of it was a bone, a long bone. On the end of the hilt was a skull, two red jewels like none found in all of Equestria was in it's eye sockets. The blade was long, made of a shiny black metal. "So you," He said pointing at Darklash, "It seems to be we are to fight." He grabbed his sword, and put it at a ready stance.

"They have only won once you have given up. You should know that we are still here to help you. Mother and father have been watching over both of us for centuries now, guiding us and helping us through times that we would not have gotten through without them. It is not a burden to rule over this great land, but a privilege. We will stay with you in spirit to aid you through your reign. Now you must get up and defeat Discord. With us, you will be more powerful than him. Now carry on, my wayward sister. There'll be peace when you are done. Then lay your weary head to rest."

As Twilight hit the wall four daggers pinned her arms to the wall. AHHHHHH!!!! You wont get away with this......I dont care how powerful you are we will stop you.Just then Twi saw DH and some other pony. The other pony had summoned some creature from the nether world. What...is....that?

 

DH saw the beast. Oh my. This things power is crazy. He then saw Twi pinned to the wall. Twilight! Oh my god are you ok?

Darklash started to laugh, crazily. "Oh, my, you wouldn't have happened to come from the Dark Realm, have you? That's my home dimension!" He walked over, clearly confident. "Well, let us see what you can do! But that big sword is much too unfair." He grabbed it with two of his fingers, snapping it in two. "That's more fair." He ran forward, punching.

The pony smiled. "I don't come from the Dark Realm. I am obviously the guardian to the land of the dead. Oh Lord Death will enjoy the torture of your soul" He said, a bone rising from the ground stopping his fist. The sword reforms in his hand. "And honestly do you think this sword is a little toy that will just snap in two." he swung it at him.
