Pale Camera walked through Canterlot, admiring the buildings she passed. She did live in Canterlot, and she did walk the same way everyday, but she had an eye for photography. She had to keep a lookout for pictures, or even anything new. She went to her favourite cafe on the corner of Mane Street and sat at one of the iron woven tables. She adjusted the umbrella with her purple magic to block the sun, then took her glasses off. Her glasses were mainly so she could see perfectly when adjusting the camera, but she wore them for the heck of it anyway. Pale smiled at the waiter as he walked up to her.

"The usual, Pale?"

Pale nodded. "Rose tea with a bit of honey, thank you."

The waiter smiled and walked back into the cafe.

Pale pulled a book out from the satchel she had brought with her and put it on the table, openeing to the page she'd left off of.

Pale looked up from her book to see a rather tall earth pony sit a few tables away from her. She blinked a few times; he was interesting. Not really the type you'd normally see in Canterlot, to say the least. And why would he be at a cafe, of all things? Pale shook her head to clear it as the waiter brought her tea over. She put her glasses in her bag and thanked the waiter. "Thank you, sir." She poured her tea into a small teacup and looked back down at her book, looking for her lost spot. She'd glance up every now and then at the strange pony, wondering why he was here.

Cream Tea was working her every day shift, at her every day job. The only thing that kept her from being bored were the ponies that came in. Sometimes there were snooty ones, sometimes they were friendly. Sometimes they were unicorns, pegasi, earth ponies. Cream Tea leaned on the desk where she was making the tea and sighed. She wished she was waitressing, as she was getting bored of making the drinks.

Pale looked up, looking straight into the eyes of the stallion she'd looked at earlier. She blushed slightly; she didn't like looking ponies in the eye, it felt awkward. "I..fine. Yes, I'm fine." She said, blinking. She pulled her eyes from his and sipped her tea, fidgeting under his gaze.

Pale laughed a bit nervously and put her teacup down. "I'm fine, really. You're just..very tall." She smiled at him. "Not everyday you see someone as tall as Celestia walking around." She smirked slightly, jokingly of course. "Apologies. I too often say what I'm thinking."

Pale smiled and dipped her head in greeting. "Pale Camera. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. " She nervously sipped her tea. 'An extended interaction...interesting. Usually thy get bored of me by now.' She thought, bookmarking her page. She closed her book and looked back up a the stallion. "What brings you to Canterlot, sir?"

Custard cream (Cream Tea's aunt) handed her a tray of blueberry muffins.

"See if anypony over there wants some. Tell them they're on offer too." She said, and trotted back to the kitchen.

Cream Tea levitated the tray of muffins over to Pale Camera's table.

"Hi! Can I interest you in some blueberry muffins! They're on offer and straight out of the oven!" She asked merrily.

Pale looked at her and smiled. "They do smell delightful. I'll take one, please. " she sipped her tea again. "I've had the cranberry muffins before, they were delicious. How are you, Cream? I haven't spoken with you in a few days. Still enjoying your job?" Pale poured herself more tea.

"Ah, thanks! Yes, the cranberry ones were delicious if I do say so myself!" She giggled "I'm fine thanks, Pale. The job does get boring sometimes, yes, but I have ponies like you to talk to." Cream Tea said happily.

"Do you know him?" She said, nodding over to Iron. "I don't think he's come here before."

"Nice to meet you Iron Bass." Cream Tea said "I'm Cream Tea, but you can call me Cream, nice to meet you!"

She paused a minute before saying

"No, I've never heard of Great Britmane, is it near here?" She asked, then took the tray of muffins over to him

"Would you like a blueberry muffin? They're fresh out the oven!"

"Aw, thanks! Yeah, I made them. Great Britmane seems like quite an... Interesting place." She said "I'd quite like to go there! Well, if my aunt ever gives me a break!" She laughed, pulling a tongue in the general direction of said aunt.

"What did you mean by pestering and ridicule?" She asked concernedly.

Pale listened quietly. "So many things wrong in this world. I've been to Great Britmane; not the best place to travel alone. Especially if you're rather weak." She grimaced and sipped her tea, then sighed. "Lovely muffins, by the way. Divine texture." She took another bite and smiled.

Cream Tea looked puzzled.

"Thanks for the compliment, but what do you mean? Not the best place to go if you're weak? Are there... Thugs there?" Cream Tea looked rather alarmed about the though of thugs, she had heard about how unruly ponies were in different parts of the world.

(It doesn't notify me, even if I do follow a topic, but I have followed this anyway.)

"Well, Pale said it isn't the best place to go if you're weak..." She trailed off, visibly relaxing.

"Never mind. So, what ARE the ponies like, there? Are the majority very well mannered? Or are they..." Cream Tea sighed and looked repulsed at the thought "...ruffians?"

(Cream Tea is very Canterlot-y :L )

Panting and sweating, Shooting Star trotted slowly through the Canterlot streets. The sun was all the way up in the sky, and the young pegasi's day had been a tad tiring as well. He had just moved from Ponyville back to his hometown for a short time because of the huge drama play that was about to happen. Being a Silver member of the Ponyville's Drama Club, he couldn't - he wouldn't waste this opportunity. The first day of rehearsal had been very satisfying, and now Star could tour around Canterlot as he wanted.

The enormous and elegant buildings were amusing - just like Shooting Star remembered them back when he was a little colt. He was planning to go back to his hotel soon so he could take some rest, but his attention was caught by a sweet scent coming from inside a nearby cafe. I would totally go for some fresh water... he thought, as he went inside the place.

There were a few ponies in there, but Star didn't gave them much attention. He went over to the first waitress he saw - a pale yellow unicorn. "Hey missy! Could you throw me a freezing bottle of water, please?" Star asked, as he took a seat and cleaned the sweat drops on his forehead with his hoof. His manners and his way of speaking were very different from the fancy Canterlot ponies, but he didn't mind it that much.

Cream Tea looked over at the new arrival and raised an eyebrow and sniffed but said nothing. She trotted off to the kitchen, and moments later came back levitating a bottle of water. She gave it to Shooting Star.

"Here you are, sir." She said, trying to hide her annoyance at this ponies' manners.

Pale flicked a few strands of her mane away from her face when the new pony walked in. "How rude." She mumbled, fixing her mane with her magic. She looked the new pony up and down and sighed, then looked back at Cream, and smirked when she saw they had the same annoyed expression.

"Thanks!" Shooting Star grabbed the tip of the bottle with his mouth and quickly swallowed the whole thing, dripping a few drops on his chest. "Ah!... Much better!" He threw the empty bottle at a small trash can beside his table and cleaned his mouth, again, with his hoof. "How much for the water, miss?"

Star looked around, noticing the other ponies, with some tea cups on their tables. They were staring at him with a bit of disgust in their expressions. He looked away, blushing and pretending to not notice. He knew that Canterlot was a classy city, and that his Ponyvillager manners were completely out of context. Star rolled his eyes back to the annoyed ponies. "Um... Can I help you guys?" He asked, trying to avoid talking about his rude, but unconscious behavior.

Cream Tea couldn't annoy the annoyance in her voice

"The water will be 4 bits, sir" She said, disgusted at his rude behavior.

She mumbled under her breath about country ponies and their foul behavior, shaking her head.

"Oh, and can I interest you in a blueberry muffin?" She asked, hoping that he wasn't gonna make as much of a mess as he did with the water.

Meanwhile, outside, a white pony with light blue hair was trying to decide where to go.

"Cloudy Corner..." she muttered. "And where would that be? I've never been to such a big place. How in Equestria do ponies find their way here?"

Of course, she could ask anypony. There were lots of ponies trotting down Mane Street. But Spring Breeze, as this particularly pony was called, found them all a bit intimidating. They all seemed to look down on her. Or was she imagining things?

She had been walking behind a "normal looking" pony for a few minutes. And just when she thought she'd gathered enough confidence to approach him and ask for directions, he went into a café. Of course he did.

Okay Breeze, she said to herself, don't be a coward and go after him, or you'll never see Cloudy Corner, or your sister, for that matter. She peeked into the café, which she shouldn't have done. It made her hesitate once more.

The ponies inside looked really annoyed. Even the waitress. They all seemed to look at the pony who had been walking in front of her.

Then she heard a deep voice: "You look damn thirsty, mate! How long've you been out there?"

The ponies seemed to relax a bit.

She drew a deep breath and walked in.

Star cleaned his throat and let out a small sigh in relief, for not all of the ponies in the place were deeply annoyed by his behavior. "Well, I just finished my rehearsal with the Drama Club down street. And boy, that was tiring! I didn't knew Canterlotians took drama classes so serious!" He laughed. "And it's pretty hot today, huh?" Shooting Star grinned at the earth stallion, relieved that he was actually friendly. Star turned back to the waitress. "Blueberry muffin, huh?... Sounds good! I'll take one!" Star said, not getting her obvious discomfort. He thought for a second. "I doubt it's better than Sugarcube Corner's muffins though... Nopony can best their muffins!" He beamed in proud of his town's sweets.

Star looked over to the new pony entering the cafe. She looked a bit nervous and shy. This one doesn't look very picky... Or so I hope he thought, as he checked up and down each of the ponies.

Cream tea sniffed and rolled her eyes.

"Sugarcube Corner? Sounds AMAZING." She said sarcastically.

She sighed inwardly. When's my break? She thought some of these ponies are driving me insane!

She trotted off to ask her aunt when she could take a break.

Sugarcube Corner does have the greatest muffins in the world, thought Springbreeze. As the ponies introduced themselves, she tried to follow the waitress. She seemed like someone who'd know her way around Canterlot.

Most ponies took up the conversations they were having, which was a relief.

Claudia sat close to the other ponies. Trying not to disturb them, she whispered to her friends Dawdraw(earth pony) and Lemna(unicorn); 'I visit Canterlot once again and I'm already getting an idea of some interesting ponies..' Dawdraw lifted his head from his drawing and asked: 'd..does that mean you're coming back here?' Claudia looked at him questionably. 'What are you talking about? You know I want to stay in ponyville, I'm just saying there are some interesting ponies around here!' Dawdraw blushed and focused on his drawing again. It was about the talking ponies. He drew them in their conversation. Claudia, Lemna and he were sitting in the background in a stalky way. Lemna shook her head at Dawdraw and called the waitress, clopping her hooves: 'Miss! We would like to order some lemonade, please!' Claudia grinned at her friend. Lemna always tried the lemonade wherever they came, trying to improve her own. Claudia looked at Dawdraw's drawing, causing him to blush more. She looked back at the other ponies. 'They are rather different, aren't they?' she whispered more to herself than to her friends..

"Shooting Star! Uh... I'm an actor!" Star grinned as he extended his hoof to greet the friendly stallion. "Nice to meet'cha, buddy! It's cool to make some friends! As you can see, I'm not from Canterlot. I mean, I was born here, but I moved away when I was still very young. I live in Ponyville." He looked at the pale unicorn mare, as she entered the kitchen with the most annoyed expression. "Yeah, even though I was born here, I'm definitely not a gentlecolt like y'all. And I'm sorry for that..." He lowered his head. "I'll go back to Ponyville as soon as the play's over. Until then, I'll try and regain some of my fanciness." He smiled warmly.

Star looked around the place once again. The cafe was getting pretty filled with ponies, all looking fancy and elegant. I gotta start working on my manners as soon as possible! he thought, as he shifted in his seat and cleaned his throat. Shouldn't be hard at all... Not for an actor like me! Yeah!
