Bacon Shortage?

Well, on the internet I have heard that there will be a shortage of bacon in 2013.

 

Yes, that's what I mean. Less bacon. And possible they'll raise the price up of bacon too. The reason so is because with the bad corn season, they don't really have enough corn to feed the pigs, which will lead to....less bacon.

 

On this article, however, it says that the bacon supply may not drop, but the prices instead will be heavily increased.

I've been hearing everywhere...at first, I thought it was a joke, but apparently it's going to happen....so what do you guys think on the raised prices/short supply of bacon? What are you going to do about it?

Looks like I'll new a new freezer to accomodate a bacon stockpile. Better get all of it I can before Christmas. I go for the thick-sliced stuff, the good kind.
