S01:E09 - Bridle Gossip

I love this episode. Zecora is a great character, very distinct from the rest of the ponies. She knows what's up and the secret of the Everfree Forest, which makes for a great backup tutor for the Mane Six when magic is not the main solution. Applebloom being the reasonable adult in a town full of grown ponies is very funny to me. Poison joke is also a great way to make fun of everyone, Spike just had a blast with it.

Zecora as a character is someone I really wish had more lore/backstory on her. She's so interesting and her perspective is such a welcome one in the show. This episode feels like almost feels like a faux-pas socially at first glance, but the way it's handled it with such care and understanding that not having it -- especially in a show about friendship when you're going to encounter people radically different from yourself, is so important. 

7/10 - Gimme a spin off of Zecora backstory, pls.

Pinkie Pie up on the table with her forehoofs in the air and panting heavily after her...musical number...is literally one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen. 

Who would have thought that Ponyville had developed a touch of Xenophobia. It should have been obvious to them that Zecora was at the furthest, a first cousin of theirs.
