Hey hey! I started with drawing recently and this is what I've come up with a while back, any tips? I'm not that good though, so I'd appreciate if you see anything wrong with the picture, aside from the snout, that's just the way I want to draw them.

Looks good to me! *Brohoof*

If anything, I would focus on using pencil to do the drawings (Very light lines), and when you're done, finish it off with a nice fine point roller-pen. This is especially good when $$$ is short, and you're just starting out. As for the type of pen, I would highly recommend a brand called TUL (Pronounced Tool). I doesn't bleed, and leaves a really smooth line. Try a test line on another piece of paper - giving it time to dry - and lightly erase the pencil lines. For the eraser, I use the crumbly type eraser. That one is gentle on the paper, and great at getting rid of the pencil lines.

Hope that helps. ;)

Hmm I see, I kinda did this with no guidelines at all, I use guidelines a lot though when I'm drawing, I just don't know why I didn't do it here. I'll look into the pens, I use pens but mine aren't that good, they're just some supermarket brand. I use the same type of eraser, I'll never make the mistake to accidentally crumple my paper ever again.

No-not that good?! You sell yourself short! This looks great, especially for what I can only assume is a first try. The only bit of advice I could possibly add is you might want to clean up the line-work a bit to make it a little less..."scratchy".

I love this. And to be quite honest, I like the scratchy look to it too. That style of artwork and drawing has always had a certain down-to-earth charm for me. I really cannot think of anything I would suggest to make this better. Except maybe, play around with shading and colours. I bet you would do very well with that too :)

Hmm.. colour? Good idea! I'll add some color to it, let's see how this works out.

Yeah, I did this without any guidelines just drew what came up in my head. I know some might not like the scratchy style, I myself love the scratchy look, although I'd rather draw more clean, just wanted to see what would happen if I did draw this way, see what would come up. It's not my first drawing though, more like my fourth or fifth.

Yeah, the scrachy look sure has some charm to it, doesn't it, I especially love FoxInShadow's art, his art looks amazing! I don't know if I should start messing with shading yet because I still have to find my own drawing style. I'll look into colouring as previously suggested, perhaps it'll work out somehow.

Soo... I've coloured it. It came out pretty well, kinda used the colour scheme of raindrop because hers is just lovely :P

My hands aren't that steady yet but I hope that'll change in the future, yea, probably will.
