Erin's mother kept the car steady as they drove down the lone road. In the backseat Erin kept the buds of his iPod in his ears, Avenged Sevenfold playing "A little piece of heaven". Erin had always kept the emo look, enjoying how it reflected what he felt on the inside. He knew that it seemed whiny and annoying to others, but he enjoyed the way that he was. While headbanging to the song, his long black hair flew over his shoulders, and onto the iPod screen. When Erin looked down to move it, he saw the black markings of the tattoo on his hands, which caused anger to surge through him. He absolutely hated his birth tattoo, as it caused the other kids in his old school to make fun of him. Erin was never a social boy, being an outcast was what he was used to. He has never had a friend in his whole life due to such, which made him always feel alone in the pit of his stomach. His heart always had a hole, the pain sometimes even brought him to tears. But as his mother said, this school could mean a whole new life to him, a new beginning. He was also told that he was some sort a cleric, powers that he gained from his father, who was burned at the stake. Erin was angry at first, but even he grew curious to what this meant. He had powers? How would he even use them?

As these thoughts went through his head, his mother turned her head to face him and said,

"Erin, we're here." Moving to the window, Erin saw the outside of the school, and how massive it was. He had no idea how he was going to survive here. He let the rest of his song go before he took the buds out, and his mother stopped the car. She opened her own door and stepped to his, opening it as well. Erin stepped out and stretched his legs, enjoying the small moment of muscle ecstasy. Her mother then looked at him with tear filled eyes and said,

"I hope you have a good life here Erin... your father would of wanted it this way."

All Erin could do in response was to hug his mother, his final goodbye to the woman who birthed her. She then handed Erin his luggage, got in her car, and left his life forever.

"Alice, I've already told you. THIS is why you're being sent to the school." The tall man said, inspecting the crack spreading up the windshield on his side. He sighed, annoyed, and looked at her. "Let's pray to God your sister doesn't turn out like you."

Alice had her arms crossed as she leaned against the side of the car, her back to her father. "THIS wouldn't happen if you didn't make me ANGRY." She spat back, shaking her head to herself. Her long hair blew around her in the slight breeze from the forest beside the road that her father had pulled over on. He had started yelling at her and the window cracked; a result of her power when she was angry. She couldn't control it, and she'd hurt people over it.

Her father got back into the car, fuming. He was ready to drive away and leave her exactly where they were, wherever that was. He put the car back into drive when she reluctantly shut her door, sitting in the angry silence that was compacted into the small space in the car.

"Finally." He breathed after a while, lurching to a stop in front of the school. Alice ignored him and gazed at the massive school, a shivering going up her spine. She got out of the car in a trance, blinking once as she took in the massive sight before her. She jumped when her father threw her bag out of the car and it landed beside her. She turned towards the car to her father, who was putting the car back into drive and locking the doors. "Let's hope you finally get put in a straight jacket." She heard him say as he turned his head away from her, the car lurching away and going back down the road it came from.

Alice stared after the car, her eyes stinging. Father..

//Oh, the drama. My god.

My post is bad and I feel bad.//

Staring outside the window with the same blank and unconcerned look as always, Jennifer sat still in the passenger seat while her father drove along the road. She never wanted any of that, but words didn't seem to change her parents' decision - she was going to school, whether she liked it or not.

God knows what kind of thoughts passed through that disturbed mind, but her cleverness hadn't showed any positive sides until then. She was just so full of herself and hardly ever spoke to anybody with kindness in her words anymore. Psychologists have failed to understand Jennifer's complexity, and she also didn't want to make it easy for anyone to understand it. Those were very hard times for her family as they had no other choice but to force her to go to the academy, where they hoped she would finally fit in. Somehow.

Throughout the years, Jennifer developed her skills with machinery and technology, soon discovering she even had some sort of psychic ability to control machines with the power of her mind. Without any plausible explanations, people started treating her as a freak. That harassment caused the last traces of humanity she had to vanish and her spirit to fall in a void of loneliness and hate. She turned extremely stubborn and her soul seemed to be empty.

As the car approached the school, Jennifer broke the silence at last. "It's here" she said, loosening her seat belt. Her father sighed. "I know, Jenny..." as he stopped the car in front of the place. She immediately opened the door and went out of the car as her father called out for her. "I love you, sweetheart." She stopped, looking back at him with the same blank expression as always. "I love you too." she replied, emotionless, as she slammed the door shut and walked away. A single tear ran down her father's cheek, as he drove back home, leaving his only daughter, wishing her the best.

Jennifer sighed in annoyance, holding onto her backpack. Let's get this over with...

(I absolutely love how Drizzle is the only one with a semi happy entrance xD)

Erin felt a cool breeze flowing through his long hair as he began his walk towards the massive school looming overhead. He couldn't help but notice that there were more females than males heading in at this time, which only worried him. If there were this many girls coming, how many guys would there be? Would he even have a chance of making friends with the opposite sex? Or with men, for that matter?

Alice stood awkwardly for a little while, her mind wandering to places better left unsaid. She shook her head and rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand, then picked up her bag with the other. She turned around and saw a few other people walking towards the school and instantly tensed. She walked with her eyes on the ground, imagining she was in a better place then where she currently was. Talking roses..toadstools..willow trees..She smacked herself on the head. "Stop it." She muttered to herself, blinking a few times to clear the images from her head. She sighed and looked up at the school as she walked. Her head snapped to the left as she saw something move past the window, the dark looming shadow taking up almost the entire area of the glass. Alice's slow walk turned into her standing still and staring at the window with a blank expression on her face.

Jennifer noticed a few people arriving the same time she did - a boy and a girl. Both looked very gloomy, with dark clothes and a very mischievous aura. Emo kids? Really?... The last thing I need is drama. she thought to herself, wearing an unhappy, upset face. She looked around the place once more. It was a big and fascinating structure - promising, at least, a level of education to match her's. Guess I'd better just go inside and... see what happens next. as she rested one of her backpack's strap on her right shoulder and walked inside.

Upon reaching the hallway, Jennifer noticed the girl she had seen outside staring blankly at a window. She thought to herself a little and came up with something to say - more specifically, to show off her intelligence. She walked over to the girl standing still and stared at the same empty window. "The earliest known glass artifacts are Egyptian and date back to 1350 B.C. But it was the Romans who first produced transparent glass, as it enabled them to admire the color of their wine... Interesting, huh?"

(( OOC: Before someone asks, yes. I Google'd that up. And I plan on doing it again every now and then. xD ))

Erin could hear the women's voices behind him, and the annoying tone of one trying to explain windows to the other. He couldn't help but laugh within his mind at her idiocy. Who in the hell possibly cared about the history of windows? The people who made it are dead and gone, no point in worrying about it now. He just continued to keep on walking to get away from possible encounters.

Alice jumped slightly and turned her head to the girl. "Oh..that is interesting. I didn't know that." She said quietly, subconciously rubbing her wrist. She noticed and fixed her light arm warmers. "I must've missed that lesson..at school." She said slowly, looking back up at the window. She suddenly bristled and turned her head slightly to the forest. She let out a shaky breath and picked her bag back up. "Excuse me.." She murmured, running into the school, passing a few other people as she did so. She slowed her pace once inside and away from others and tried getting her breath back.

Don't dawdle, Alice...

"Well, yeah. You probably missed that lesson. But don't worry. You'd never be as smart as me anyw--"

"Excuse me.."

The girl was gone before Jennifer could continue her small lecture. The girl ran inside the school in a snap, as well as that other guy Jennifer saw earlier outside. Frankly, what's wrong with these people?... She thought to herself, as she sighed and resumed her walk inside the school looking for the classroom, gazing upon the inner structure. Perhaps something could still be amusing to her sick eyes.
