Cloud Puff wondered if she should really be scared. Because right now, she was. "Uh..eh... Okaaay... Please, don't actually shove it down my throat... That would very much hurt... And, we're not onstage... And, oh jeez.. If you glued my hooves to a sandbag, that would suck..."

Cloud Puff decided that she WAS scared. She timidly sat down next to Skye.

*zzz... snrk...* "Hrmm? Was I sleeping again? You can help me stay awake a bit longer? Then by all means, go ahead."

Rhaïn took a look at the menu. "How sad, there's no sapphires on the menu. I developed a taste for them a few years back, but I suppose they aren't really crystal, or at least not the kind eaten here... Anyway, I think I'll try the crystal soup. How does that even work anyway? I thought crystal was normally solid."

 

(OOC: I'm doing it again, aren't I? I'm actually about that tired, but I'm still up for another half hour or so. I'm letting Rhaïn's state of mind mirror my own, though, it seems.)

Without waiting for a reply from the others, SkyeRibbon Jumped from her seat and balanced herself on her hind legs.

"To get my actors ready , warm, and awake, I have them do a little dance." She began to slowly spin, hopping from one hoof to the other as she chanted.

"Red leather, yellow leather, red leather, yellow leather, red leather yellow leather, yellow leather red." clap.

She repeated the chant, spinning and speaking gradually faster with every rotation.

"you try!" She laughed.

Some activity will certainly keep me awake. Let's try it then...

"Red leather yellow leather..." Rhaïn trips over his own hooves about 10 seconds in and falls flat on his face.

"I'm OK..." Rhaïn says shakily. "At least I'm more awake than before." Better stay awake that go through that again.

 

(OOC: I'm a bit clumsy, it seems. I love how Rhaïn, and the dynamic between all of us in general, has been developing...)

SkyeRibbon glared at Rhain.

"If you were one of my boys, you'd have saddlebags full of rocks. But I digress. Hmmm...sugar. You need sugar. Gotta keep the machine runnin'!" She looked around and grunted in approval at a rather large display of crystal cupcakes. Skye dug her purse from her shirt pocket and threw a small pile of bits on the counter before gathering an leg-full of the sparkling cake.

"Guess we're about to find out just how edible crystal is..." She chuckled, inching towards Rhain with a rather odd twinkle in her gaze.

"Come 'ere."

Star stood up and helped Rhain get to his hooves. "Are you alright Rhain ?"She asked, Brushing a speck of dirt off his shoulder.

"I think I am going to pass out if I try that... I get dizzy really really easily." She said, sitting back down as the waitress walked over. "What can I get for you today ?" The waitress asked, pulling out a notebook and a pen.

"I'm still undecided, but could zi have a glass of water for now?" Cloud told the waitress. Cloud got up and walked over to Skye. "Uh, Skye, I think you're going a bit overboard... Please, you almost scaring me.." Cloud said, nearly as timidly as Fluttershy would've.

Aah! A crazy pony is trying to feed me sugar! Rhaïn backs away, frantically searching around for some way to escape.

"No,Skye, it's alright. I'm perfectly fine." a note of desperation enters Rhaïn's voice.

"I don't need an- *Glomp cough cough gasp sputter* What are you trying to do, choke me?"

 

Rhaïn redirects his glance at the waitress. "I'd like the Crystal soup, please."

 

(OOC: Woah, I'm being feathered, only for falling asleep once or so O_o )

(But hey, I knew already that I'd partly be pulling some comic relief duty...)

SkyeRibbon chuckled. "I'm not going to shove them down your throat, silly. Stop choking, I'm nowhere near you.Gee, with acting like that, i could almost put you in one of my shows...." She pondered on this a moment before trotting over to the table and throwing the cakes onto it. she turned to the waitress

"May i have a cup of coffe? No cream, but a stick of peppermint would be heavenly. And I'll have the crystal baklava, a dish of the spinach and mushroom florence....and....a round of apples! Yes!"

Skye eyed waitress. "You do know what apples are, don't you?"

You know, I think I'd like some apples right about now. Bronze Statue goes down tot the lobby. "Excuse me, but does anyone know where I could get a bite to eat?"

The mare behind the counter says "If I remember correctly, there is a good restaurant down the road. I suggest you try that, sir."

Bronze thanks the mare, and heads out for the restaurant. When he gets there, he sees Rhaïn, along with several other ponies. "Hello, again! Can I sit with you guys?"

[Brazen Gears 7]

Brazen Gears decides to investigate this strange and foreign land that has been lost. He loves mining and he loves gems so what a perfect place to explore! Brazen is also carrying saddlebags filled with his belongings.

 

Brazen trots down the pathway overlooking his surrounding and all the other crystal ponies and guests roaming around.

"Well then." Brazen sighs. "I wonder where my hotel is... The map said it was located on Emerald Ally, Block 32; But I can't find it."

Brazen stops right before a building that looked like a tall, wide crystal with many windows and the name of the hotel written in large white print above the double doorway. The sign said, "Empire Hotel and Resort". Brazen walks in and purchases his room and heads upstairs to drop off his stuff before he starts exploring.

Purplepower started getting hungry. "Hey, Looptyhoop! Do you want to get some dinner?" She heard a warped response. "I have no idea what you just said so I'm going to pretend you said 'yes'. Now let's go!" She got up and put her saddlebag on. "I think I saw a restaurant somewhere around here." She walked out of the hotel with Looptyhoop. Now let's see, uh, I think it was back that way. She walked down the road and entered the restaurant. She saw Star Song and the other ponies. "Oh, hi guys!" This is weird. She and Looptyhoop sat down at a table next to them.

"Hi, Purple! I was just about to see if I could eat with Rhaïn and the other ponies would let me sit with them. By the way, the hotels here are rather expensive. 40 bits for just one night, can you believe that???" Bronze Statue sits down at a table nearby to the other ponies. "So Rhaïn, who are all of these ponies again? Some of them seem familiar, but I can't seem to recall their names." Real smooth, Bronze. THAT'S sure to make friends! "Oh, and did anypony hear someone shout 'BUUUUUGLE?' That was almost as loud as the..." Bronze looks around to see if Luna or Celestia is nearby, then whispers, "Royal Canerlot Voice."

"Yeah, I know right! No, I didn't really hear anything, but I kinda wasn't really paying attention to anything." Purplepower looked at her menu. Wow, everything sounds wonderful right now. She adjusted her saddlebags. This is starting to get really awkward.

Star smiled at Purplepower, Looptyhoop and Bronze Statue. "hey guys. Thay was Skye, she was looking for a flugelhorn but thought it was called a bugle horn... Anyhow we met up and here we are."

 

 

(OOC: I am staying somewhere that doesn't have Internet... I will explain later. Anyhow I won't be able to post untill about Sunday so if someone could controll Star untill I get back that would be awesome.)

Bronze said to Star, "Oh. Wow. So, what do yo recommend from the menu? I'd like to try some of the crystal food, but I don't know what's good." Bronze turns to the window and sees... No, it couldn't be. "Hey everypony, is that Twilight Sparkle? I think I recognize her from when I was in school, and I've heard some amazing things about her recently."

(OOC, hoping this RP gets something like a plot line or minor quest hook relatively soon.)

Sand was not sure where he was. In some hidden part of his mind, he thought he might have hopped onto a fast wagon away from wherever he had come from. Why he had done this or where he had intended to go was distorted by fuzzy memories in his brain. Even now he had a near constant headache despite having slept for two days straight in a dark, quiet, and private room in an inn. Since the pounding in his head had receded enough to at least stand he stumbled through the half-lit room over to the washbasin. His blood-shot eyes stared back at him out of the mirror mounted on the wall, reminding him of the flowing red cider he had noticed on the way to a friend's home. Oh. Right... He had almost forgot that night, the reason he was here in the first place. Cider and him never went well together despite his near obsession with it. He hoped that his friend was in a forgiving state of mind next time they met.

 

Exactly what had occured was still foggy, but he reluctantly dredged up fragmented images of a party. He had learned that he was somewhere in the Crystal Empire from the Inn-keeper. Though that poor mare had been more frightened by the near rage he had been in while coming down from what he had drank, she had been kind enough to let him stay in the room long enough to recuperate. Sighing to himself, Sand pulled on his boots and other miscellaneous travelling clothes, minus his knapsack. Opening the door and emerging into the light with squinted eyes, he managed to find the inn-keeper with little difficulty. The matter of his payment was settled and Sand decided to rent the room for the next few days while he worked out what he intended to do.

 

That dealt with, Sand set out into the city, looking for something to occupy his time. He had not been in this section of Equestria before and this seemed like a good time to explore. Eventually he settled on a small shop that appeared to sell cakes among other things. Walking inside, he noticed a flurry of activity amongst some of the other ponies. Rustling his wings nervously, he sat at a table in hopes a waitress would see him.

Bronze Statue notices somepony new. "Hello, there! How are you this evening? I'm Bronze Statue. What's your name? Where are you from?" Sweet Celestia, I sound like that personality core from that game Luna is obsessed with. What was it again? Ah, it's probably not important.

"Well who are you ( I said to a young pink filly) are you lost darling come lets go find your mummy" so the pink filly and silver mane whent of to the confectionary stand there he saw lots of ponies he said to the filly "are any of thies ponies your mum she shook her head so we continued on until the filly shouted "mummy" so we rushed over to the purple pegasus.

"Looptyhoop!" Purplepower was irritated with her sister. "You said you were just going to look at something for a minute!" She turned to the stranger. "Thanks for finding my little sister. She said she wanted to look at something real quick and she didn't come back." She glared at her little sister.

Rhaïn considered the pegasus who had just entered the restaurant. Blood shot eyes, a slightly hunched posture? He must be nearly as tired as I am. "You don't look like one of the locals. Are you new here? In any case, pleased to meet you. I'm Rhaïn, and these ponies here are my friends. Come to think of it, you look really tired. You probably want to talk to Skye over there about that." After all why should I be the one who gets to have all the fun? Rhaïn lets out a muffled snicker. "And welcome here, to the Crystal Kingdom!"

[Devious Detonation 442]

As Metallic Strings woke up, he suddenly remembered that he fell asleep after one and a half week practicing the cello.

 

-Whaaaaat... Where.... Huh? I really need to go out more often... Perhaps a cappuccino would help me reflect on what happened in the last week...

 

He tried to find any good accessory to go out that was not too reveiling, like his spiked collar and "hoofelet"(Bracelet for ponies).

He opened the drawers and luckily found a black bowtie.

 

"Errr... This is not what I had in mind, but it'll do." He tought.

 

He went out and remembered that he was there to find some inspiration. He went through one of the main streets and went to a restaurant where he could get a relatively small meal.

SkyeRibbon smiled at the new addition to the group. She herself was perfectly capable of projecting voice as the royals could. It had tAken quite the time to master, and was well worth it.

" I'm SkyeRibbon, " she said softly.

"And I was the one shouting for the bugle."

[Brazen Gears 7]

Brazen Gears woke up and put on his goggles and went downstairs to head off and start exploring. Brazen notices how everypony is smiling and having a good time.

 

Brazen thinks to himself, "What a perfect day to see what this empire has to offer!"

 

Brazen strolls past a forge selling many climbing and mining gear. He notices that he forgot his equipment at home. He starts shaking nervously knowing that he had used all his money on the hotel room. He panics and turns his head side to side looking to see if there is a generous pony willing to help him out.

"Hm, so is everything made of crystal here? That's really something you don't see every day." Suddenly, a flash of inspiration hits Bronze Statue. "Maybe crystals are what's missing in my designs!" See you all later, I've got crystals to get!!!" With that, Bronze Statue dashes out of the restaurant to find someone who sells raw Crystal Empire crystals. He runs headlong into a Pegasus wearing goggles. "Sorry, I was just in a hurry to find something. I'm Bronze Statue, by the way. What's your name?"
