Batbrony 16,055 November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 I gotta say, I would not like to see Pinkie Pie get any crazier or random than she, or her clones, did in "Too Many Pinkie Pies". Random characters can easily get ruined when their randomness is taken to too extreme and ridiculous levels; the best example that comes to mind for me is Patrick Star, who has become absolutely ruined in the latter seasons of Spongebob, if I'm not mistaken. That said, I don't think that Pinkie will be any more random, because the actions of the episode made it quite clear that the Pinkie clones were significantly more mentally unbalanced than Pinkie has ever been, and hence more random in their behavior than she has ever been or ever will be; thus, I don't think the folks at Studio B are going to make the mistake of making Pinkie's behavior this season any crazier or more random than it's already been. 2 "You'll hunt me. pinkiefan1287 610 November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 I really liked all the random things that Pinkie Pie was doing in the episode. The G1 face, growing fingers on her hoofs was funny, and the best one when she was controlling gravity. That was the best. The only thing I do wish we got to see more of is how else her clones attacked the town. Made by Gone ϟ Airbourne
Abstract 832 November 28, 2012 Share November 28, 2012 Most shows like to play up a character's eccentricities when an episode is focused on them alone. In Pinkie Pie's case, this meant...well, what you saw there. A ridiculous amount of senseless random actions and words. If Pinkie was like that in every episode she appeared in, I don't think most of her fanbase would tolerate it for too long. There has to be some depth to a character, even one as manic and odd as Pinkie. Thankfully, the episode also showcased some of that, keeping it right under the limit IMO. MLP writers seem to know exactly how far is too far most of the time. We should be thankful they do, for keeping these wonderful characters down to Earth and completely loveable.
