CrystalRose 636 November 25, 2012 Share November 25, 2012 This is my ponysona, Rose. Instead of trying the FiM style like I have done lately, I've reverted back to my own drawing style a little more with this one. I can't decide on a cutie mark for her yet though Either something pencil or cake related, seeing as I love drawing and baking. She is surrounded by candles and she has a mug of hot chocolate. Mmmmmm, hot chocolate. Her body colour is going to be a very pale beige, and her mane and tail will be pale pink and lilac. I used to have my hair those colours and they were my favourites. Also, I used a reference for the facial features, because I don't really draw things from a perspective of looking down and I wasn't sure how to make it so it looked like you're looking down on her. The rest of it wasn't referenced at all though so there are probably mistakes everywhere. Throwaway19573639385 764 November 25, 2012 Share November 25, 2012 This looks really great! I love the style. There isn't really anything wrong with it though, but if I had to point something out it would be a part of the shading, namely her right front leg has shading that's a bit too harsh, the lines, because of the different contrast in relation to the rest of her leg keeps pulling your attention and it gives a bit less focus on her face. I can't give you any advice on perspectives as I am pretty bad with them. Otherwise there's nothing wrong with this picture, it looks wonderful! A job well done!
CrystalRose 636 November 25, 2012 Author Share November 25, 2012 Thank you! I tried to shade it a little with the pen but it ended up darker in some places than I wanted, and not dark enough in others. I'm glad you like it! <3 1 ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
ReGen 1,466 November 25, 2012 Share November 25, 2012 I think it's really great! I like your style of drawing. It has a lot of detail! And I think her cutie mark should be a pencil with a cupcake eraser. Think outside the box! 1 "I keep the walking on the right side, but I won't judge the next who handles walking on the wrong. Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 November 25, 2012 Share November 25, 2012 Hmm, overall a very nice picture, criticizing it is a bit tricky, since it's a rather unique style . -Her snout could be a bit thinner at it's tip -the hind leg folded under the body just seems weird (pretty sure horses can't do that, the other hind leg's joints seem a bit too human in proportion Hmm, overall a very nice picture, criticizing it is a bit tricky, since it's a rather unique style . -Her snout could be a bit thinner at it's tip -the hind leg folded under the body just seems weird (pretty sure horses can't do that, the other hind leg's joints seem a bit too human in proportion 1 My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain. I thought the candles added a nice touch. Edited November 25, 2012 by CrystalRose 1 ~DeviantArt~ ~ Taking commissions ~
