TheImaginaryAlicorn 147 November 30, 2012 Share November 30, 2012 It's struck me that nobody really knows what Gravmas is! It's on Isaac Newtons' birthday (Dec. 25), and it celebrates the discovery of gravity! My family puts a golden apple ornament on top of a Christmas tree and we call it a Gravmas tree. It's kind of sad that nobody knows about this. Want to spread awareness? Tell people! You don't even have to celebrate it - just acknowledge it! In case anybody's wondering, Isaac Newton was inspired to research (and eventually discover) gravity after an apple hit him on the head, thus the apple theme. Anyways, I just thought this was interesting. Merry Gravmas!
khaine21x3 789 November 30, 2012 Share November 30, 2012 If we have to acknowledge any significant event that happens in a national or international history then we'd be celebrating every single day of the year so we might as well celebrate every single day without some past event to justify doing so. Lightning Fluttershy 1,844 November 30, 2012 Share November 30, 2012 Can't say I've ever heard of Gravmas. But it sounds like something I could get into. MERRY GRAVMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL HAVE GOOD GRAVITY! So does Isaac Newton come down chimneys during the night and deliver apples?
Clarity 3,094 November 30, 2012 Share November 30, 2012 HAHA, an APPLE caused one of the greatest scientific discoveries in all of history. AN APPLE!!!! TAKE THAT. Now no one will be able to say that Applejack cannot defy gravity like Pinkie Pie. Anyway, merry gravmas to all!

Starshine 16,333 November 30, 2012 Share November 30, 2012 Uh, if I may ask, how does one celebrate Gravmas? Pretty sure people won't appreciate us throwing apples down from a tall buildings
TheImaginaryAlicorn 147 December 1, 2012 Author Share December 1, 2012 (edited) Ha! I don't know if Isaac Newton would come down chimneys - you'll have to find out . . . But that would be an excellent demonstration of gravity. And I don't think we should celebrate EVERYTHING or EVERY discovery - how would you like it if everyone on the planet celebrated moldy cheese day (which does exist BTW)? But it is nice to celebrate some things. I mean, what would life without gravity be like? I'm not sure how one would celebrate gravity. Apple pie? Give apple-related presents to people? You can't go apple picking in December . . . I don't know, send an e-card! Would there be any Gravmas e-cards?
