"Looks like we're gonna have to split up for this one." Thunder Dash said. "Everypony huddle up." Storm Rush said. "Alright, here's the plan, this changeling has laid a trap on us. We must rescue Princess Celestia before anything else. Rainbow Dash, stay here with Twilight and defend Ponyville from the changeling attack...as a matter of fact, see if you can get Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Applejack and Fluttershy to help. Storm Rush, Ace, Shining Star and I will go look for the Princess." Thunder Dash said. "That seems legit." Storm said. "It's decided, we shall split." Thunder Dash said. "Now go! We don't have much time." Thunder Dash said as Storm Rush and Rainbow Dash followed after him. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash had went to find Applejack.

(ooc: shining star was foal napped) Apple Jack was upset sitting in Sugar Cube Corner talking with Pinkie Pie about what was happening at the tree house. She was had no idea that shining star was trying to call her, and that she was abducted by the changelings. "I dont know how to tell them that the lil' filly's parents were killed protecting the Princess Pinkie. What should i do?"

Thunder Dash and Storm took off as fast as they can. They flew so fast, that it only took them 2 minutes to fly out of Ponyville. They flew above the Everfree Forest, past Timberwolf Mountain, across Froggy Bottom Bog, until they reached a small cave. "Do you think it's safe to go in without Ace and them, 'cause I gotta bad feeling about this..." Storm Rush said. "It's our only choice. If we want to save Princess Celestia and Equestria, then we must go through." Thunder Dash said. So they started to go in. While walking, they could hear some noises, like buzzing. "I think..." Thunder Dash said. "You think what?" Storm Rush asked. "That we...have...just found...the lair...of the...changelings!" Thunder Dash said. "No way!" Storm said. "Way, listen!" Thunder Dash said. "You're right dude! Let's get our flanks outta here before we're caught." Storm said. "I've got to report this to Twilight and everyone else." Thunder Dash said. "But, aren't we supposed to go find Princess Celestia?" Storm asked. "Yes, but if we're caught, we'll be captured and almost nopony's available to rescue us in case we get captured." Thunder Dash explained. "So what are you waiting for? Let's go!" Thunder Dash as he flew into the air towards the cave's exit. They flew back to Ponyville to tell the others

 

Meanwhile Rainbow Dash was chatting with Applejack. "I know it's tough; the truth can be hard to face sometimes, come on AJ, you must, we can't keep a secret, if we do, she'll find out...the hard way." Rainbow Dash said. As Rainbow Dash was about to say another phrase, Thunder Dash and Storm Rush burst through the door panting and out of breath. "We've got...some...news, we found...the lair, of the changelings!" Thunder Dash said trying to hold back his excitement in case there was any changeling in sight. "It's gonna take more than just the two of us to take these changelings on." Thunder Dash said. "But what about Shining Star?" Rainbow Dash asked. "She may just have to tag along with us." Thunder Dash said. "I'm just worried about Shining Star's reaction when she hears the grim news." Rainbow Dash said.

At hearing about the changeling lair being discovered some ponies either raised their papers to cover their faces or tried to non nonchalantly leave the store. A mare and Stallion made it out of the store and ran as fast as their hooves could take them to the EMAF Army FOB (Froward Operation Base).

 

Meanwhile back with the others. A messenger comes running in out of breath. "i...I have terrible news! Shining Star....she...*breathing heavily* *huff* dang nabbit i am out of shape...*huff* she has been foal napped a group of changelings impersonating the last three survivors of the 274th ACR took her. right from under our noses" Apple Jack looks at rainbow dash and then says "Looks like wont have the chance to tell her. least not right now and i aint going to just sit here while the lil filly is a missing (occ trying my best sorry) them mosters are gona pay for napping mah princess and mah friend. I just hope that that lil filly will be around for me ta tell her about her mother" She has two folded flags sitting on the counter top that another soldier pony had given her to give to shining star before being deployed himself to retake Manehatten

A little white rabbit opened the door wearing a military grade helmet and carrying  a stick. He looked at Ace for a minute and raised the stick. then very quickly he slammed the door shut. on the in side sounds of hammering could be heard then everything went quiet.

Fluttershy opened the top window just ever so slightly but did not look out. "umm, who is out there?"

 

Back at SCC another group of ponies that heard Thunder-dash and Storm-Rush could be seen trying to sneak out of the store trying their best as to not be seen.

A little white rabbit opened the door wearing a military grade helmet and carrying a stick. He looked at Ace for a minute and raised the stick. then very quickly he slammed the door shut. on the in side sounds of hammering could be heard then everything went quiet. Fluttershy opened the top window just ever so slightly but did not look out. "umm, who is out there?"

"but, i am scared, and i will just slow you down. Please dont make me go. i wont be any help" fluttershy said softly. "They took Shining Star Fluttershy, you must help us get her back" Twilight yelled when she came up from the rear. "They took a small defenseless filly?!" seconds later the front door flies open and flying off its hinges. "I am in"

"Alright! The apple family and everypony else should be waiting for us in the lobby. I've got a plan on how we could save Equestria AND get Shining Star back. But we're gonna have to work together on this, so come on let's skidaddle to the library." Thunder Dash said as he headed towards the library. 

 

When he got to the library, everypony was there. Most of the apple family made it, including Applebloom, Babs Seed, Caramel, Bog Mac, Granny Smith and others. "Listen up everypony! The reason why I called all of you here today, is because of the major threat that is going through Equestria. As you may know, Princess Celestia has been captured and so has a little filly named Shining Star." Thunder Dash explained.

 

"This is how it's gonna work. I will divide you all into groups, each assigned a mission. Earth ponies, that means all of the Apple Family, you will defend Equestria from the changelings. Yes, you heard me, changelings. My cousin and I have found their lair. Pegasus ponies, that includes me, Rainbow Dash, Storm Rush, Ace, and yes you Fluttershy. We will go rescue Princess Celestia and Shining Star. As a matter of fact, why don't both unicorns and pegasus join together." Thunder Dash said. "Wait, unicorns have magic, can't we at least have Twilight Sparkle join us?" Storm Rush asked. "You got a point there Storm, so if I can have Twilight Sparkle and Rarity come with us. As for the rest of the unicorns, they must stay and defend Equestria." Thunder Dash explained. "All right, does everyone have their assigned groups? If so, let's move!" Thunder Dash said as he made sure all of the pegasus ponies were ready. Suddenly a voice said "It'll take more than just a few of you guys to take on those changelings." Thunder Dash turned around, and lo and behold, it was the one, the only, Spitfire, the leader of the Wonderbolts. "Spitfire! I didn't expect to see you here!" Thunder Dash said excitedly. "I thought you might need a few extra wings." Spitfire said as she adressed Soarin'. "Soarin' too?!" Thunder Dash asked. Rainbow Dash was completely stoked. She could not believe that the top two Wonderbolts were there to help. "Alright, now that we got some extra help, let's move out!" Thunder Dash said, leading the Pegasus group out the door followed by Spitfire and Soarin.

At the cocoon holding shining star, "Where-Where am I? What is this strange goo? How am i able to breath in this? what is that outside the walls?" shining star began freaking out. 

 

Back outside of the library, hundreds of military ponies of all branches stood ready to fight. "And what is our mission Thunder Dash? We are a secret group call Omega, and we have been assigned to you, so if you would be so kind as to fill us in on what is going on here?"

"Alright, so, I have just made several groups to 1. Rescue the Princess and a little filly, and 2. To defend Ponyville from a changeling attack. First, I need to divide you into groups. So, could you kindly, form yourselves into three groups according to your species. This will determine what group you will be in. Okay, all of the earth ponies will stay in Ponyville to defend it from the Changeling attack. Some unicorns may also need to stay back and so should a couple of pegasus. As for the rest of you, you will join my cousin, my sister and my I to rescue the Princess and the little filly." Thunder Dash explained. "Are there any questions?" Thunder Dash asked.

"No sir, no questions. "At this he turned around and yelled "All Alicorns on the Right, earth Ponies center Right, Pegasi center Left, and Unicorns on the Left! LETS MOVE IT PONIES, WE DONT HAVE ALL DAY!!!!"

 

Back with shining star Queen Crysilis moved into her view. "Looks like they found the hive, lets see if they can survive the sulfur for long. those two got lucky being fast movers like that, but can the others move as fast as them...hmmm...Just in case, lets move you somewhere else" Shining Star starting screaming for help, but no sound would come out of her prision

"LET'S GO!!!" Thunder Dash shouted as they made way to the hive. Thunder Dash led the group out. The Apple Family headed down towards Ponyville. Thunder Dash, Spitfire, Soarin' and other pegasai quickly flew ahead. When Thunder Dash's group arrived at the cave, they listed out for changeling guards. "If changelings are here, then that means...Queen Chrysalis!" Thunder Dash realized. "Shining Star must already be wrapped. If Chrysalis converts her, I'm gonna be pissed beyond pissed. Oh that nasty wretch!" He growled as he moved forward. "Get your beams and weapons ready. I've got a feeling we'll be ambushed. And surely enough they were. A swarm of changelings surrounded them. Even though the Changelings took the form of the pegasus, alicorns and unicorns, the group was still able to escape and defeat the group. However, what lied ahead, would be the greatest nightmare: Queen Chrysalis.

"Well, It appears that your friends are here to save you. I would have thought that they would want to try and save Celestia, but instead they left her out there. Release the Princess, we no longer have any use for her." With this on the other side of Equestria a changeling pod cracked open and Princess Celestia fell out. "I do believe we should not keep your friends waiting" chrysalis said as fire erupted around her and standing in her place was a little white filly. in shining stars voice. "Keep the intruders busy, i am going to go to the outside of ponyville and see what is going on and see if i can get 'rescued'" "No, leave them alone!" the real shining star yelled as some patches of her coat fell and floated to the bottom of the cocoon.

 

Moments later 'shining star' appears on the outside of ponyvill looking to be wounded as if she fought her way out of the hive. a pegasus guard was flying over head when he saw the filly. "who are you and what are you doing out here?" he asked. "My name is shining star, i need help, please help me." his eyes grew wide at this. "Corporal go to the hive and tell the others that shining star has escaped." The Corporal did this and landed behind the Thunder dash as the last changeling fell to the ground. "Sir...Sir, the filly, she escaped, she is safe. Wounded but safe, medics are treating her wounds as we speak, you need to come back *cough* now before the sulfur kills you all * coughs*"

"Thunder Dash realized that Queen Chrysalis had escaped. "After her! She mustn't be taken in. Quickly! Get her!" Thunder Dash said. "Forget it, I'll go myself, y'all stay here and defeat the rest of these Changelings and protect Shining Star!" Thunder Dash said as he flew out as fast as he could. He rushed back to Ponyville and saw the fake Shining Star being taken in. "Wait stop!" Thunder Dash yelled. "This filly isn't who you think it is. Thunder Dash used his revealer spell and surprisingly, it worked. If he hadn't made it on time, Queen Chrysalis would've been taken in and lure the guards away so she would be able to take control over them. A very pissed off Queen Chrysalis was revealed.

Chrysalis returned back to normal "YOU FOOL! How dare you!" As she said this she used her magic and knocked out the two guards that was trying to protect the 'filly'. "It doesn't matter now. You are too late to save your daughter. By now she is a changeling. And since i got what i want you can have what you want. I Released your princess. now if you dont mind me" She tries to fly away (occ: going to leave that one to you you guys)

 

Back at the hive Shining Star could hear yelling and thought she recognized Rainbow Dashes voice. She put her hoof up to the opening of the cocoon and could see that her beautiful white coat was now an almost black with holes riddled in her hoof up to the knee joint. She brought up her second hoof and saw the same thing. "NOOOOOOO. PLEASE SOMEPONY HELP ME! RAINBOW DASH, IM OVER HERE!!!!!" she screamed for dear life and hoping somepony could hear hear, which worked. however other changelings were guarding her and took a fighting stance with extremely large changelings all over the room as well

Rainbow Dash looked over and saw the terrified filly. She flew up and opened the cocoon after knocking out the two changeling guards. She noticed Shining Star returning back to normal. "Phew, that was close. You alright kid? Let's get ya outta here before anymore trouble strikes. Meanwhile Storm and the others were fending off more changelings, until they saw Rainbow Dash coming with Shining Star. They all left the hive and returned to Ponyville to meet up with Thunder Dash.

Rainbow Dash looked over and saw the terrified filly. She flew up and opened the cocoon after knocking out the two changeling guards. She noticed Shining Star returning back to normal. "Phew, that was close. You alright kid? Let's get ya outta here before anymore trouble strikes. Meanwhile Storm and the others were fending off more changelings, until they saw Rainbow Dash coming with Shining Star. They all left the hive and returned to Ponyville to meet up with Thunder Dash. 

Chrysilis said to herself from the shadows "Hmm, very nice work, they all went to great sacrifices to save their friends. But gave them something that they wanted. Now in return in a few weeks, I will expect to receive something that i want. All changelings, return to the hive, we are done up here for the time being." With this every changeling hiding in ponyville jumped out of random places and ran off in the direction of the wastelands.

 

Minutes later Celestia walks into Ponyville but because of the amount of changelings that just left, the guards were fed up and using his magic the Special Forces Alicorn Major picked up Celestia and slammed her to the ground yelling "You bucking changelings just dont want to quit, do ya!" "What! It is Me, Princess Celestia" "Yea right" the major replied

"Don't assume anything major!" Thunder Dash said, as he used a revealer spell on Princess Celestia. Surely enough, it was the real Princess Celestia. He had heard that the only changeling who can transform into Princess Celestia was Queen Chrysalis herself. Just then, Thunder Dash noticed Rainbow Dash and the others coming back with the real Shining Star. "Thank Celestia, you're safe." Thunder Dash said to Rainbow. "Yeah, it wasn't actually that hard." Rainbow Dash said.

The major just stared at Princess Celestia "i am so getting a dishonorable Discharge for this" Shining Star saw Thunder Dash and sprinted so fast a fire trail followed her and hugged onto his leg. "im sorry for leaving, please dont be mad at me, i only wanted to see what was wrong with Miss Apple Jack. *starts crying* I am very sorry"

"It's not your fault. You did what was right to help a friend in need. But you didn't know that danger lurked. There's no one to blame except Queen Chrysalis who could strike back at anytime, for I overheard something she said: "Now in return in a few weeks, I will expect to receive something that i want. All changelings, return to the hive, we are done up here for the time being." We must prepare for that time, because she will be at her strongest and back for revenge." Thunder Dash said sitting down and picking up Shining Star to stroke her.

"What could she possibly want? Does she want Equestria?" shining Star asked " The now Major now demoted to 2nd Lieutenant came back wearing the gold bar also asked "yea, that filly has a good point, what does she want, and why would she just release Princess Celestia? It does not make any since. Dang six years to get major, two seconds to loose it. this is just not my day"
