Thunder Dash took a couple steps towards the surrendering changelings. "Are you being honest? No no, let me ask you something. Do you think this is a game?" Thunder Dash asked charging up his currents. He then looked straight in the changeling's eyes. "Never...Come...BACK!!!" He said staring right into the changeling's eyes. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash had knocked out more changelings. 

 

 

After Ace knocked out a couple of changlings he ran over to check on Applebloom and Sweetie Bell. "Alright you guys are ok," He then turned to Thunder "Thunder! I don't know if you notice but Shining Star is gone! I took my eyes off her for a secound and they took her!"

"Please...We cant go back...We have no place to go..." a drone said.

 

At the new hive "We have the filly, and this time we are not going to loose her! I want every single guard we have guarding her, we will change her and make sure she stays changed. I just learned that that yellow pegasus can change her back. How ever she will not change back if she remains a changeling for 48 hours."

Thunder Dash spread his wings. "You know what that means. All four of us must go this time, and it is urgent. I know where the second hive is. On the way back from Canterlot, I saw another little lit cave. Let's go before Shining Star is completely one of them!" Thunder Dash said flying into the sky. Rainbow Dash and Storm Rush flew into the air and headed for the cave. There was no time to lose. They had to rescue Shining Star and defeat Chrysalis for good. Once they arrived at the cave, Thunder Dash talked to them. "Okay, here's the plan...I've learned to distribute my magic over the past few months. So, what I'm gonna do, is put an invisibility spell on all of us. It will last 12 hours or unless I reverse the effects in the middle of the time being. We must continually fly inside the cave. Because although we are invisible, our footsteps could still be heard. Alright, here goes." Thunder Dash used the invisibility spell and it was successful. "Before we go in there, I need to do something." Thunder Dash said. "Yes, there is a place where we can camp in case it gets too dangerous. No changelings have ever been to that part of the hive." Thunder Dash said. "That's great." Rainbow Dash said. "There, I can show you a new trick that I discovered." Thunder Dash said. So they started into the cave.

Thunder Dash spread his wings. "You know what that means. All four of us must go this time, and it is urgent. I know where the second hive is. On the way back from Canterlot, I saw another little lit cave. Let's go before Shining Star is completely one of them!" Thunder Dash said flying into the sky. Rainbow Dash and Storm Rush flew into the air and headed for the cave. There was no time to lose. They had to rescue Shining Star and defeat Chrysalis for good. Once they arrived at the cave, Thunder Dash talked to them. "Okay, here's the plan...I've learned to distribute my magic over the past few months. Shining Star wakes up on a clean bed and looks out a window. "Looks like a certain little filly has finally woken up" Shining Star quickly spins around. "Who...Who are you?" she asked to the invisible drone but did not get any reply. "My queen. The filly has woken up, she has been changed, but we still have to wait 24 hours before it becomes permanent. also, the group that was protecting her has fallen for the trap. the drone told the queen. "Perfect. Lets see how long they wander in the caves. maybe they will be in there for the day we need."

Now, I have a plan, I'll go into the Queen's lair and tell her that the changelings in Ponyville are advancing. This will force her to leave the hive and then I'll get Shining Star. Although she's a changeling, she isn't permanently one. Stay here while I go do the work...wait, it's better for you guys to not stay here. I can sense it, the changeling activity is high. I suggest you refuge in this underground clubhouse Rainbow Dash and I built together. Take'em there Rainbow." Thunder Dash said. "You got it. Come guys, let's get outta here while we have the chance. 

 

Changeling Thunder Dash then scampered to a safe area. He then darted towards the Queen's Lair and hid behind a corner. He then approached Queen Chrysalis with the news. "Your highness, we have estabilished hives in Los Pegasus, Manehattan and Coltifornia. We don't have much time, the EAF is planning a strike on both hives. We must help them immediately." Thunder Dash said.

The Queen Walked up to changeling Thunder-Dash and gave him a minor mental zap ​"You insolent fool! How hard is it to follow a simple order from your queen. I said to retreat Los Pegasus, Not take it over!!!!" She then looked at shining star. "Yout will tell the guards to send a message to Los Pegasus." she said to thunder-dash with out looking at him. "Tell them to evacuate Los Pegasus. We have no need for it." she looked at Thunder-dash completely unaware of his disguise, though a drone in the room was not fooled and hissed at him. finally Chrysalis looked at Thunder-Dash and circled him. "Drone, what do you see in this changeling that makes you want to attack him?" "He is not a true changeling my queen!" All the other guards in the room then looked at changeling thunder-dash. "Really?!" her horn glowed green and then zapped away his disguise. At this all the changelings in the room pounced on him. "I will not allow you to take away this filly! Take him to the dungeon, and make sure that he will not be able to use his magic at all." With this the changelings dragged Thunder-Dash away out of the room.

Thunder Dash was bound in changeling goo. "So...she thinks she could still outsmart me..." Thunder Dash said gathering energy in his wings. Once he gathered enough energy, he spread his wings out, which were strong enough to break the goo, and scampered out of the dungeon. As he was rounding a corner, a group of changelings spotted him, and they all dogpiled him.  Thunder Dash quickly let loose a giant shock that freed himself from the pile of changelings. He then unleashed a huge flash of light and darted towards the place where Shining Star was. When he saw changeling Shining Star, he quickly used a revealer spell, picked her up and flew out of the hive. He stopped at a place far enough from the hive, where he could perform the full heal spell. When it was complete, he saw Shining Star normal and healthy. "Yes! It worked! But that, was a close call back there. Now let's go find the others." Thunder Dash said as he put Shining Star on his back and flew towards Ponyville. When he arrived in Ponyville, he immidiately went to the underground clubhouse.

Shining star looked at the ground of the underground tree house. "Can anypony in here tell me about my parents?" Her mind flashing back to that conversation her and the Queen Chrysalis had. "The original Bright Star and Dawn Star were killed in that POW Camp. Your parents were changelings. and this 'WAR' was just to be able to bring you back to the Hive. Deep down you know this is true. Have you seen any other pony eating chocolate on a daily bases? I am your real mother, and your 'mother and father' were your personal guards that were to keep you safe." Shining winced at this memory, but she had hopped that nopony saw this. "I dont remember my parents except for bits and pieces. Please somepony, i need to know" 

 

Back at the Hive. "Abort all attacks. If they have to surrender to keep from being killed, then have them surrender. if they surrender a small group of Praetorians will be sent out to rescue them. All we can do now is wait." With this every changeling in the battlefield began retreating. leaving the EMAF dumbfounded. before the order to press on could be issued, the changelings were gone, hiding in another cave

Thunder Dash was thinking hard. It was all confusing to him. He then remembered something he did when he was little. He used a spell that allowed him to trace the memories of someone. He used it on Shining Star but he got only little pieces of information. "If Chrysalis wants her so bad, then she must have some relation to Chrysalis...but...her...parents. I saw no sign of changeling in them. So it starts out with Shining Star, wanting us to help her find her parents in a POW camp, and now war is upon us...I don't get it...I just don't get it. How the hay could...wait a sec..." Thunder Dash said looking at Shining Star. He then used a see-through spell. Nothing happened. Shining Star was herself. "We haven't heard anything about her parents since the incident." Thunder Dash thought. "But wait..." Thunder Dash said delving back into the memories of Shining Star. He then saw Queen Chrysalis "Wait...Chrysalis...your mother?!" Thunder Dash thought. "That doesn't even sound right, I mean, look at you...you're a regular little filly." Thunder Dash continued to think. "But one thing's for sure...we must keep you away from Chrysalis." Thunder Dash said to Shining Star. 

 

Meanwhile Rainbow Dash was napping, and Storm Rush was keeping a sharp watch.

"I dont believe this that. It can not be. How could she be my mother if i look like a regular filly?!" Shining Star was going all over the conversation she had with Chrysalis. She could not stop playing it all back in her mind. Finally she had enough. "I need to see my parents official records of Active Duty. i think they were called DD-214's they would be back in Canterlot, but im sure if you ask somepony, somepony could get them brought down here. Please." On the surface, RTO's were looking at their radios in utter confusion on the reports of changelings just up and leaving the fight, some getting swarmed and surrendering. "I say again my last, all changelings are evacuating. I think we have them on the run. We have Prisoners Of War, Please advise, i say again, we have POW's, please advise, Charlie Foxtrot two five will be standing by for advisory's; over"

Thunder Dash thought. "It's time to split again. Ace and I will take Shining Star up to Canterlot to the place where they keep the secret millitary files. I have access to it, since I was in the millitary myself." Thunder Dash said. "Let's get over there, for if they're sent down here, they might get into the wrong hands." Thunder Dash added. 

 

"Alright then, Storm and I will keep a sharp look out for any enemies or changelings." Rainbow Dash said. "Sounds like a good plan." Storm Rush said. 

 

So Thunder Dash got all of his things ready and they headed to Canterlot.

Shining Star got her things put back into her saddlebags and told everypony that she was ready when they were.

 

Back in Canterlot a total of three hundred and eighty-nine changelings were captured and placed into the jail cells.

 

In the Hive Chrysilis was Watching as the changelings came back to the hive noting the large number that did not come back.

 

Upon arrival to Canterlot, shining Star noticed the POW changelings being escorted to the jails. "Why did they take them Prisoner Thunder-Dash?"

"Because they got caught, and weren't fast enough to escape. I don't know why they would keep'em as POWs. Minus well just kill'em like they did to the rest." Thunder Dash said. "Yeah, it's kinda unusual to keep changelings as POWs. Soon or later, they'll find a way to escape." Storm Rush added. They soon found themselves at the place where the secret files were located. 

 

Thunder Dash took out his military card, and scanned it in. The door then unlocked. "Jackpot!" Thunder Dash said.

A security pony behind a window to all the files. She looked as if she was very upset that somepony inturepted her day of not having to do anything "What can i do for you Mr...(looks at the the computer seeing who's card was slid to gain access to the room. Her eyes just go wide at the name) I am sorry Major Dash. What can i do for you Sir?" The pony now looked very interested in helping Thunder Dash out in any way she coul

Shining Star had told me, that when she was captured by Queen Chrysalis, Chrysalis said that she was her mother. I needed the file to see if Shining Star is on the list of children for Bright Star." Thunder Dash said to the security pony.

"Hmm. Let me see." She trots over to the multiple fileing cabnets looking under 'S' but from the looks of it she could not find the DD-214. She then trots back to the 'B' section looking in there. Again she from the looks of things was unable to find any official records. She looks double checks and trots back over the 'S' section to double check then comes back over the computer and dose a search on her computer. "Major i am not finding anything on a Bright Star.... (computer dings) Wait...here are the records. That is not right. let me try again Miss, Shining Star, do you by chance have the Social of your father?" "Captain Bright Star service number is 828-11-1234" "Thank you. (types info) here it is....Same pony came up...this is not possible. Shining Star, how old are you?" "I am seven years old ma'am" "*chuckles* I am a sergeant i work for a living *chuckles again then face turns serious as she looks back at the computer* This is the only thing we are getting on a Captain Bright Star, though according to the records, he was just a Staff Sergeant. I dont know if this is the pony you are looking for, but i will print out the records, being that they match the name, and service number.These records state that he died 20 years ago" Behind Thunder-Dash a printer starts up and prints out the records. Shining Star picks up the records and on the front copy is a picture of a younger looking Bright Star. She flips to the second page and began reading

Staff Sergeant Star,Bright was killed in action yesterday after saving PVT Anderson, a wounded earth pony. He refused to leave PVT Anderson's side allowing a griffon to be able to ambush them both. SSGT Star valiantly gave his life for this PVT. His funeral service will be taking place next week when his remains return back to Equestria. Their mission was to go in and attempt to make peace with the griffons, but we all can see how that turned. I am recommending for this Soldier to be awarded the Medal of Honor for his Heroic and Selfless service to his men and his Country.

"That means that only certain ponies are allowed to view the information. We must put these documents in a super safe place." Thunder Dash said. So he put them in a hidden pocket in his bag. "Well, we must now protect these documents at all costs. Chrysalis is gonna come back full force once she gets her changelings ready. Prepare yourselves." Thunder Dash warned. "...We may even have to pull out The Elements Of Harmony for this one." Storm Rush said.

"So how is this my father if he died in combat twenty years ago? This is not making any sense. I think we need to talk with my fathers old unit, the 450th MP brigade. Maybe they can tell us something useful. They are back in Ponyville. Come on we need to hurry. That or we can call Ace and Rainbow Dash to have them speak to Lieutenant Colonel Braveheart and see if she knows anything about my father.

they looked at the file and called over a captain that looked like he was close to retirement. "Yes?" he said. "Captain, Major Dash here is trying to find out info on Staff Sergeant Bright Star. and sorry for bringing this back up, but being he saved your life, maybe you could inform them." 'The captain then looked at Major Dash. On his uniform he wore the Captain bars and his name plate stated Anderson. his face showing signs of pain from the memory. "Sorry Major, and with all due respect Major, but why do you all want to know about Staff Sergeant Bright Star after twenty years. They didn't even give his the Medal of Honor or anything. they just brought him back home, gave him a twenty one gun salute, and gave his flag to his wife. They did nothing for him. Thats the only reason i still wear this bucking uniform, to give back to him what they could not give!" tears running down his muzzle at this point

What happened to her?I can't remember her name, but, this must have some correlation with Bright Star. And Chrysalis saying that Shining Star is her daughter. This is just soooo confusing." Thunder Dash said.

"Jee wiz, these guys are sensitive. Bright Star must've done very good deeds. But what about the mother. What happened to her?I can't remember her name, but, this must have some correlation with Bright Star. And Chrysalis saying that Shining Star is her daughter. This is just soooo confusing." "He saved my life. If it wasn't for him I would not be standing here. As well as if it was not for me, he would be standing here wearing this rank perhaps. Anyways, your not going to find his wife, she died in a tragic train accident ten years ago. Perhaps you remember this? Concord Bullet Train number 214? Only three ponies out of 200 managed to live. and they are still in the hospital. He never mentioned having any children though." Captain Anderson explained.

"WHAT?!" That train?! Crashed?! I-I never knew about that!" Thunder Dash exclaimed. "How the hay did that thing crash?!" Thunder Dash asked with shock.

 

"So that's why Bright Star was so special." Storm Rush taught. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash was inside Sugarcube Corner getting a snack.

Wow," a Lance Corporal said, "Something went wrong with the air brakes and it could not slow down, hit a turn going down hill, going way to fast and derailed." he explained. another MP sitting at the table a Sergeant First class then asked the question on all of their minds,"How is it that you know Staff Sergeant Star Major?"

 

inside sugar cube corner. "So how do you suppose we handle these changelings we have as prisoners," a MP was asking another MP. 

The other MP was not paying any attention though as his focus was on Rainbow-Dash at the counter. "Dude, you listening?" "No, Who is the pony over there, the one with the rainbow colored mane ?" The first MP looks over his shoulder and just back at his friend. "that'ts the pony that we had to search for a few years back. when she was a filly. Get your head in the game and get back on topic"

"Heaven's to bestie! That was a bad wreck. I guess we're now back to that slow steam locomotive...but the reason why I know Bright Star is because of this little filly here." Thunder Dash said addressing Shining Star. Thunder Dash stopped there and did not tell anything else, for if he did, the MP may become suspicious, and worse, he may lose his rank.

 

Meanwhile in Sugarcube corner, Rainbow Dash was stuffing herself with more cake. Just then Storm Rush walked in. "Whoa Rainbow! I didn't know you could eat so much! I guess you won't be able to fly for a couple hours then." Storm Rush said. Rainbow Dash giggled at this remark as she rubbed her full round belly. 

 

Back outside, Thunder Dash was talking to the Corpral. "Won't they be able to build another speed train? I mean, how much does it cost, 100,000 bits?" Thunder Dash asked.
