[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"The usual." Thunder Dash said as he put a plate of cereal in front of Shining Star. "It's official. Two more weeks until the Best Young Flyer Contest." He announced.

 

Storm Rush went out and got some pancakes over at Sugarcube Corner. 

 

Rainbow Dash was still sleeping.

Panicked "Im not ready! i been too busy learning how to be more assertive than flying, or doing all the other stuff." She is so worked up that she ends up choking on her breakfast and falls onto the floor, gasping for air and flailing her hooves in the air

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

Thunder Dash quickly grabs Shining Star and performs a quick heimlich maneuver. He saw pieces of cereal fly out of her mouth. He then waited until she got her bearance.

 

Rainbow Dash all of sudden woke due to the commotion. "Wha-what's going on, is Shining Star okay?" Rainbow Dash asked a bit panicked. 

 

"I already took care of it. Shining Star here, panicked so much, that she almost choked on her breakfast. But I cleared it out." Thunder Dash said.

After getting air into her little lungs. "Almost? I did choke. wow, i really do overreact to things don't" she said as she got back up and started eating her breakfast again. "I really need to take a chill pill, or what ever those things are....Daddy, whats a chill pill?"

"It's an expression. It means "I gotta relax more."" Thunder Dash explained as he made sure he had everything. "Alright. The time's going by fast. If you want to be done by noon, let's shimmy on outta here and head for the fields." Thunder Dash said as he got his water bottles and packed some extras for Shining Star.

Shining star got her things ready and went up top to wait for Thunder Dash. "Oh look, its the little cry baby" Diamond tiara started and soon they started up the bulling again. Shining Star tried her best to be assertive and threatened to go to their parents, but that all failed and shining Star was about to turn tail and run off.

Thunder Dash flew in just in the nick of time. He stood tall right in front of Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. "Trying to mess with my daughter? You think you're all that, well let me tell you something...you're just a snooty spoiled Mrs. Goody Two-Shoes who thinks she's "all that". You're low, in fact, you're underground." Thunder Dash said as he transformed into a changeling again. "Well let me tell you something that happens to fillies who have their cutie mark but treat others unfairly. That cutie mark of yours will flash and dissappear." Thunder Dash said poking Diamond Tiara in the flank. "And do you know what replaces it...a skull and cross-bones, which signifies that you have no destiny, which means you have no purpose in this place. If the Princess sees a filly with a skull and cross-bones Cutie mark, she will banish you from ponyville. But, here's a catch, if you resolve yourself and do good within 24 hours of the bad cutie mark's appearence, your regular cutie mark will appear, but if you don't..." Thunder Dash said with a snicker. "The skull and cross-bones cutie mark will remain on your flank...FOREVER!" Thunder Dash screamed. "So I suggest you leave my daughter alone!" Thunder Dash said hissing in Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon's faces.

"Were underground? Pffh, As if. Your the ones living underground in a dirty little tunnel. You are all so low your beneath the ants, and to imagine that you all live with a blank flank" Diamond tiara said. Silver spoon added. "if i was you i wouldn't even show my faces in public, because that is just so embarrassing." Silver spoon finally caught onto what you said. "Just wait till my father hears that you threatened me. You will be in so much trouble." She said as she ran off to get her father. (i dont remember his name. perhaps you remember?)

"Pft very funny Diamond Tiara. Thunder Dash said with a snicker as he turned back into his pony self. What he did next took it to the next level. He used his magic and snatched Diamond Tiara right off the ground. "Now, what should I do with you..." Thunder Dash asked. He then turned to Shining Star. "What do you think?" Thunder Dash asked Shining Star.

Diamond Tiara just stands there dumbfounded. Silver spoon comes back with her father. "There he is daddy, that's the stallion that's being mean to us." The father just stares at you with the most disapproving eyes. "And my good sir, can you explain why you are threatening to have the princesses banish these two innocent fillies?" he asked in his fancy voice

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"It was only a fake story to get them to stop bullying my daughter. They think they're being cool bullying like that. You should be ashamed of yourself, letting your daughter, with her spoiled self, mess with my daughter like that. You...have a lot to think about," Thunder Dash said. He still had Diamond Tiara in his magic. He then pulled her right in front of his face. "Apologize...now!" He said boisterously.

"Drop that filly now" silver spoons father said in a stern tone. "I called the athoritize and you will be answering for why you are now harassing these two fillies. IF you wanted to teach them a lesson, you should have come and gotten their parents. (voice starts getting small and smaller) That way we could deal with it." Shining star had gotten tired of listening to silver spoons father go off on Thunder dash and using her magic shrunk him so that he was 25x small than he was suppose to be.

"Look sir, I'm a major in the army, so I suggest you stop falsely accusing me. I'm just standing up for my daughter, whom these two filles were harassing. 

 

Rainbow Dash happened to be outside and heard the commotion. She then flew in. "Yeah, he has the right to stand up for our daughter." Rainbow Dash said. Suddenly Storm Rush flew in. "So you'd better reassess your words and think before you speak. 

 

Thunder Dash still had Diamond Tiara in his magic but put her closer to the ground just in case. He then thought about the situation. "If Celestia were here, she would be for me, for Diamond Tiara hasn't been caught bullying in front of the Princess. But one thing's for sure, the Princess will be very displeased with her, for she's a high-class filly and high-class fillies are supposed to treat lower class filles with the same respect. "Look Diamond Tiara, the point is, that you...need to show some respect. I'm tired of your big snooty mouth running every minute. Thinking you're the best. Thinking you're all that, when in reality, you're just a spoiled brat wanting attention." Thunder Dash said finally putting down Diamond Tiara on the ground. He then turned to Silver Spoon's father. "If I catch your daughter bullying my daughter one more time..." Thunder Dash left it at that. He then turned to Shining Star and the others. "Come on guys, let's get away from those foalish filles." Thunder Dash said to the others as they walked away to find another open field. It was 9:30 by time this was all over.

Shining Star ran to quickly catch up with Thunder Dash, but something caught her eye in the distance. Flying away from ponyville was two mares one of them white with colorful mane and tail, and the other a black mare with stars in her mane and tail. Shining Star looked back to Thunder Dash and saw that he was gaining distance and ran to close the distance again. "Sister, if any of us should get a complaint about what happened. I want you to come back here and take care of it." Celestia said as they left. Shining Star finally caught up to Thunder dash and the others. "So...what are we going to learn today?"

"Well, the thing we will focus today, since it's the first day will be getting off the ground both reguarly, and quickly. You will also learn some techniques when making a turn." Thunder Dash said. Rainbow Dash and Storm Rush had gone back to what they were doing.

"So what techniques are there to learn while making a turn. and what is the quickest way to get off ground daddy?" Shining star asked while she was stretching her wings. She looks over her shoulder and sees a pony just watching what was going on. the pony would occasionally look down as if writing something, and look back in her direction

"Well, first off. quickest way to get off the ground: First, you gotta bend own like this." Thunder Dash bent down to look as if he was about to charge. "Then spread your wings out." Thunder Dash said. "Then jump as hard as you can and flap your wings so you can maintain your altitude." Thunder Dash said. "Now you try." He added.

Shining Star watched every move that thunder Dash did, and when he told her to try, she bent down but some how managed to skip a step and took off flying still on the ground. Somehow she managed to not crash into anything and when she was about to hit head on into a water fountain she pulled up doing a roll, then arching right still pulling up into the sky. Soon she came back down to the ground just flapping her wings to stay off the ground.

"That was awesome! You're a fast learner! Just make sure to have a little bit more control next time." Thunder Dash said as he rose into the air. "Alright, I guess we can skip just a little bit. Now, we will do some basic menuvers. One of these menuvers is the illumine, a move used by the Wonderblts. This move is an aerial u-turn. It looks like this." Thunder Dash said as he flew forward, started a loop, but twisted his body to turn around and face Shining Star. "Try it. All you have to do is act like you're gonna do a loop, but when you're halfway into the loop, twist your body, and you'll be facing the opposite direction." Thunder Dash explained.

Shining Star started doing the loop, and managed to twist around when a bolt of lightning struck and scared her silly. a distant voice yelled "Sorry! I just don't know what went wrong!" the scare however managed to help shining star complete the move successfully and she looked around like she could not believe she did that.

"Ugh, dang it Derpy!" Thunder Dash said as he saw Derpy bouncing on the cloud. He then went and picked up Derpy and the cloud and moved them where it wouldn't affect Shining Star's performance. "There, that should do it." Thunder Dash said. He then turned to Shining Star. "That was nice one." He complimented.

Shining star starts to try and do a few more tricks. she lights up her horn and

begins to play. she doesn't know how she knew what to do, but she flew straight up spinning sin circles and when she got to a certain height, she quickly peeled off doing a split-S maneuver, double barrel rolling and diving down quickly pulling back up doing a few flips as her velocity took her back up into the air. she then got a little too gutsy and began do nose dive but when she saw the sound barrier start forming around her she pulled off and landed.

"Oh come on! Why'd you stop! You nearly had it! You're so natural. That's why you've got a great shot at winning the Best Young Flyer Contest. There's actually two divisions this time: Pegasus and Alicorn. There are actually young alicorns out there just like you. But you've got to do a sonic boom, just like your mom did. She would be totally shocked to see you do it. Come on, give it another go. When the sound barrier forms, don't stop. keep pushing through!" Thunder Dash said encouragingly.

Shining star gave a nervous node and did all her stunts again building up her speed, adding a few more stunts here and there to get the altitude and speed up higher. When she got the speed and altitude she threw all her momentum into a nose dive. The ground was now rapidly approaching  the ground at high speeds. shining star then saw that she was running out of altitude and tucked her head down and lifted her right front hoof ever so slightly. with only 120 seconds from impact the sound barrier starts to form around her and with only 4 seconds till impact she managed to break it creating a double sonic mint-boom with a trail of mint green streaming behind her as she tried to avoid colliding with ground objects

"Yes!" Thunder Dash said. "Way to go Shining Star! Forget about two weeks training. I think you're already ready for it! But, we'll go over your routine here and there." Thunder Dash said still celebrating. "Mom will be so proud." Thunder Dash added as he smiled with pride. "Alright, try to slow it down and come in for the landing." Thunder Dash said.
