[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"Sure! Rainbow Dash said as she gently picked up Shining Star and put her on her lap. 

 

Rainbow Dash opened the book and started to read

 

(OOC: I grabbed this from the official transcript, hopefully there's no conflict)

 

"Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together, and created harmony for all the land. To do this, the eldest used her unicorn powers to raise the sun at dawn; the younger brought out the moon to begin the night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for their kingdom and their subjects, all the different types of ponies. But as time went on, the younger sister became resentful. The ponies relished and played in the day her elder sister brought forth, but shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, the younger unicorn refused to lower the moon to make way for the dawn. The elder sister tried to reason with her, but the bitterness in the young one's heart had transformed her into a wicked mare of darkness: Nightmare Moon. She vowed that she would shroud the land in eternal night. Reluctantly, the elder sister harnessed the most powerful magic known to ponydom: the Elements of Harmony. Using the magic of the Elements of Harmony, she defeated her younger sister, and banished her permanently in the moon. The elder sister took on responsibility [fade out] for both sun and moon...and harmony has been maintained in Equestria for generations since." Rainbow Dash read.

As rainbow dash read the story to shining star, shining star fell asleep in rainbow dashes lap. She ended up dreaming of the battle between Princess Celestia and Nightmare moon all the way up to the elements of harmony being weilded by her mother. Then the dream turned dark again and everything around her withered away. "I-i remember this place." she said while looking around for the changelings.

In reality, Rainbow Dash was stroking Shining Star, as she was sleeping. Meanwhile Thunder Dash went out with Storm Rush and they were doing some things up in Cloudsdale. They were up at the weather factory doing their daily check of all of the stations. They also had some fun catching loose clouds.

in the dream Shining Star wondered around, getting very scared. Not looking where she was going she tripped and cut herself on a rock which appeared on her leg in reality. "ouch. that really hurt. Where in equestria am i?" she asked to no pony in particular. She ended up finding that bigger changeling again but she detected shining star and disappeared. The forest then turned on her at that point not detecting any stronger magic sources in the area now. Shining star flees for her life trying to use her magic to keep the forest away from her, though to no help at all. she began screaming and could be heard clearly in reality. "MOMMY!! PLEASE HELP ME!! *crying* I-IM SCARED. I-I dont want to die!!!"

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"What, what? I'm right here. No need to worry. It was just another nightmare. Everypony has'em. Anytime you're having bad thoughts or bad dreams, try to think about something good to counter the bad stuff. Rainbow Dash said.

 

Just then Storm Rush and Thunder Dash came in chatting and laughing. "I swear to the moon, I am so getting you back for that scare prank! You ain't gonna get away with that!" Storm Rush said. "Pft, yeah right Storm, I know just about every time when you're about to scare me." Thunder Dash said as he came toward Shining Star and Rainbow Dash.

Shining star could not hear Rainbow dash and continued screaming. in the dream shining star was still running away from the forest looking over her shoulder and not watching where she was going. She ended up running onto a very steep hill and tumbled down. she extended her wings only to land very hard on it.

 

In reality a sicking CRACK could be heard and her left wing goes limp. and she begins screaming in agony and now full of scrapes and cuts

 

In the dream she managed to get up but saw that her wing was broken. Crying she continued to run away from the monsters chasing her.

 

both in dream and reality "SOMEPONY PLEASE! HELP!!!"

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

Thunder Dash quickly came and shook Shining Star, light enough, so he won't hurt her even more, but at the same time, firm so he can render her from the dream. "Wake up Shining Star! Everything's gonna be okay. I'm right here!" Thunder Dash said. He then built up some current. He was trying to remember a spell that Princess Celestia used on young fillies and colts to render them from their nightmare. He was trying to think of the rhyme that goes with it. "Come on! Come on! Think Thunder Dash, what is that rhyme?" Thunder Dash thought to himself. He continued to build more current. It then suddenly came to him.

 

"Nightmares and fears will never prevail
Away with bad thoughts like a gale

And return never again!" 

 

Thunder Dash recited. There was a huge beam of light that engulfed Shining Star's flailing body. After the beam faded...

In the dream a bright light appeared and threw her out of the dream. She wakes up still feeling the pain she felt in her dream and sees everypony in the room. She then sees Rainbow and clings onto her for dear life fearing that if she let go then all the bad would comeback. her scraps and cuts, her broken wing and fractured ankle were a painful reminder of what had happened.

"Oh, no..." Thunder Dash said looking at Shining Stars injuries. "I'll fix this, he said gathering more currents. "Hold still Shining Star." He said as he put his hooves on her. His body then began to light up. He was prepping for a full-heal spell. There was another beam of light. When the light was revealed...

...she was healed up except for her wing, which remained limp. though her ankle was healed up as well. Twilight Comes running into the tunnels. "I just received a letter from Princess Luna telling me to come here quickly. Whats goin- Holy Mother of Equestria, what happened to shining stars Wing?!"

"She had a nightmare and I don't know how she broke her wing like that. For some reason, by full-heal spell didn't heal the fractured wing. I don't want to take her to the hospital. Maybe you can try to heal the wing. Otherwise, the hospital's the only other choice." Thunder Dash said letting Twilight come closer.

Twilight gives it a shot and she begins to glow. Shining Star begins to glow a few seconds later. The glowing and pulsating of magic continue for a few minutes when a loud bang could be heard and Twilight was on the other side of the tunnel with books falling on her from the now broken bookcase signaling the failure of the spell

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"Oh Dear Celestia. Twilight, are you okay?" Thunder Dash asked. "I guess I'll try again. What Thunder Dash did next, was never ever done before. He used the magic within him, to numb Shining Stars wing. He then stretched it out. He then closed his eyes. Using his special vision, he saw the way Shining Star's bones were broken in her wing. He then used the magic to bind them back together permanently. Just as he did this, the numbness in Shining Star's wing went away. Thunder Dash then fell to the ground breathing heavily. He used so much power, that he needed a quick shot. "Twi, get me a cloud, a thundercloud." He said continuing to breathe heavily.

Twilight flew upstairs and grabbed the cloud like thunder dash had asked for. She then flies back down with the cloud and left it next to thunder dash. Shining Star remained clinging to rainbow dashes hoof still during all of this and had not realized her wing was healed. "Umm, Thunder, What do you want me to do with the cloud?" twilight asked

"Zap me with it. Use the lightning in it to give me some energy." Thunder Dash said trying to catch his breath. 

 

(OOC: Thunder Dash can't use so much energy at once. If he does, he'll become very weak, and sometimes even faints)

 

Thunder Dash tried moving, but he was so weak from the two spells he used, that he could hardly move. Like if he was hit hard.

"I have never dont that with a cloud before. Heck, I have never messed with a cloud before this." Twilight said as she things for a moment. Then she remembers something that Rainbow did in nightmare night. "Ok, here goes nothing" she said as she hits the cloud and causes the lightning to shoot out and strike Thunderdash. With in milliseconds shining star was off Rainbow Dashes hoof and on her neck shaking like a leaf

Thunder Dash started to move. Then he was able to get up fully. "Ah, that's better." Thunder Dash said as he stretched out. "Looks like that jolt also scared Shining Star. Shining Star, you can come out. There's nothing to be afraid of. It's all over now." Thunder Dash said.

shining star comes out of her hiding place still shaking. "are...are all the monsters gone?" She asked still shaken up by the nightmare that she had. Shining star then went over to Rainbow dash, jumped up on her back and laid there using her wings to cover herself.

"Everything's okay Shining Star. It's all over. Thunder Dash rendered you from your nightmare." Rainbow Dash said comfortingly. Rainbow Dash then cuddled with Shining Star and started to stroke her to calm her down. 

 

Storm Rush then came from somewhere. "Where've you been cuz? Thunder Dash asked. "Ugh, the weather factory was like chaotic today. At least we got it under control." Storm Rush said.

"I regret nothing" twilight quickly said for she had to get a cloud somehow. Shining star, while rainbow dash was comforting her, uncovered her wings and snuggled closer to rainbow dash. "I...I saw the big changeling again, and now i could tell that it was a mare. She quickly vanished when she saw me and then the trees attacked me after saying "the guardian as left"" shining star said

 

Elsewhere Chrysalis was crying her eyes out only after receiving news what shining star was attacked shortly after her leaving

Thunder Dash felt an ache in his heart. He knew something wasn't right. He left the tunnels without saying a word. He looked around, he didn't see anything. But, his ears caught a faint sound, a sound...of crying. He continued to look. After five minutes of looking, he noticed a black figure. When he came closer, he saw it moving. It was where the crying was coming from. The achy feeling grew and grew. It grew to the point where he couldn't walk. He came closer to the figure. When he was close enough, he figured out who it was. In the end, he found out it was Chrysalis. He then hugged her, for he knew the pain she was going through. "It's hard. It really is." He said. "Shining Star had a nightmare, and I don't know how, but she ended up breaking her wing...but...I healed her, and she is well again, except for bad thoughts lurking about." He said continuing to embrace and comfort Chrysalis. "I can feel your pain, which is what led me to you. I have a strong connection with other people's emotions, especially if they're going through hard times. It is the honest truth. I am doing my utmost best to protect Shining Star as her father, and so is Rainbow Dash as her mother." Thunder Dash said still comforting Chrysalis.

"i..i know, but its my fault. If i would have just stayed in that forest none of this would have happened. Thunder Dash. How is she finding me? Nothing good ever comes out when i am around. that was why i let her forget me. That was why i left her with you." she states still sobbing

[Courageous Thunder Dash 7,824]

"The dreams are strange. Some how, she is still thinking about you...yet...she's calling Rainbow and I her parents. Both of us have almost exactly the same questions. I don't know what the dreams mean. Maybe, she's still struggling about what her place in this world is...That's it! In the beginning, when you were still trying to fit in, a few years back, the bond was kind of weak. And whenever I encountered yo, when you had taken Shining Star away from me, you were acting as a protector! So this means, she's struggling about her "real protector". I think these dreams relate to that...but...there's stil many gaps in this mystery." Thunder Dash said continuing to comfort Chrysalis.

a praetorian approces. "My queen, trouble i hive 16." she said. "thank you Thunder-dash. If you manage to figure out what the dreams fully means you know how to get to me." With this Chrysalis flies away from and to the hive." 

 

In the tunnels. "m-mommy? where did daddy go?" shining star asked

Thunder Dash returned to the tunnels. "Here I am." He said to Shining Star. "I just had to go out for a quick moment." Thunder Dash said. He then gently picked up Shining Star and stroked her. 

 

Storm Rush was organizing his notes from the daily check of the weather factory.
