A story about something dumb I thought before I was a brony.

I just felt like I had to tell this story sometime, but before I was a brony I actually didn't really know what a brony was, therefore I wasn't really a hater or a brony, I was just there.

 

So when i first heard the word brony, I was very confused upon hearing the word. I was like Brony? Was is that suppose to mean. The thing that confused me the most is that I pronouced it as Bron-Ey And not Bro-Ne. So i was like.. is that some kinda weird insult?

 

So yeah, eventually after my discovering this show, and the fandom I eventually learned what a brony was(Or rather how it was pronounced.)

 

Well thats my short story about me being dumb .

 

Anybody else have anything similar that has happened to them before? I'd love to hear some storys! Or maybe someone else has actually miss pronounced brony like me before(Unlikely, but possible...)

I first heard the word "brony" when I was a fan of the show and didn't get it.  Just thought it was a joke about people who like the show.  When I finally understood it I was surprised that it wasn't a negative thing toward the fan and if I was one.  Now I completely understand it and happy to say I am one. 

 

Its not dumb not dumb for you to think the word was weird.  you were just missed inform like a lot of people.

You mean what we thought of Bronies before we became one? I once believed that Bronies are dirty hateful pricks that simply could not understand that people can understand about the show without liking it fanatically.

Considering my first encounter with bronies ended with me expelled from one of my previous communities, my opinion about them was not very high.

When I first heard the term brony,I was utterly confused at first.I mean,I've heard about the guys who are obsessed with MLP,but I never knew that they were bronies until I watched the brony parody video OneyG posted on Youtube.

 

Suffice to say,my opinion on bronies were very,very low until I became part of the MLP fandom and saw that the brony community were a good buncha people,making all of these creative things and holding all these charities.It really blew my mind because I thought they just fapped to pastel-colored equines all day long.Though cloppers still freak the living hell outta me though,nobody should fap to stuff like MLP.

Oh that's hardly a stupid story.  I'd say that most people out there still fall into the neutral, indifferent category of people who don't even know what bronies are and have probably never heard the word before.  When I first started poking around the fandom, I myself wasn't even really aware of the term, and so it was only when I became a brony that I first learned of the term.  So don't feel stupid buddy; we've all been in that boat at some point.

Eh I guess It wasn't really that stupid. Although to be honest I feel kinda stupid thinking back about it.

It still baffled me for the longest, I just kinda thought when i first saw it that it looked kinda like brawny and scrawny, soo. I just kinda ended up baseing it off of that.. . I just thought it was some strange slang term without a real meaning that people used to insult others.

 

But now I know that its a whole lot more . Who knew I'd become one, after such confusion lol.
