Winter Warmth - RP

Rose looked over at Draco out of the corner of her eye. He was smiling too! Rose couldn't help but wonder what had gotten into him recently. He wasn't actually that cold, but Rose didn't attempt to wriggle away, because she was comfortable under his extended wing. But there was something undeniably different in his demeanor from when she had first met the colt, barely breathing on the side of the road near her garden... Rose couldn't tell what it was about him, but... Could it be that he's liked me, and now has the confidence to act upon it? Nah, that's laughable. Nopony would ever like me, like me. Rose self-consciously ran her hoof through the messy green tangle that was her mane nonetheless, with that thought.

"I promise you'll like the green house I'm building for you and all I need now is a way to get rid of the snow around your garden," Draco said. "Of course it doesn't help that your like that moon flower. Fragile but you have a hidden strength that draws me to you. Yet  in the moon light you glow with a soft radiance only matched by your beauty," Draco whispered into her ear gentlely.

Rose blushed. Confound this yellow coat! The words he spoke were poetically breathtaking. She looked at Draco, whose silver eyes were sparkling happily. He really means it... He thinks I'm beautiful... 

 

She smiled softly, and closed her eyes for a moment, leaning so very insubstantially close to him, longing for... Something... Before her better judgement, so well trained, pulled her back. She was afraid. Afraid that if, by some stretch of fate, she was wrong.... Draco was too good a friend to risk.

Draco chuckled "Scared of me Rose I wouldn't blame you I am coming on abit strong aren't I?" Draco asked as he looked at the mare next to him "Maybe a sleigh ride would help you? Or we could go out dancing. I did study it when I was really young. I can't believe i still remember how to dance,"

Yavolin got up and went out the door."Yea i am coming". Yavolin didn't have time for this kinda of thing mostly because no pony has ever took the time to be with him. He began to hate Draco for everything that's has ever happen to him but he knew it wasn't his fault.

Diamond stuck her tongue out and wiped the last bit of snow of her face. "You guys almost got snow on the cactus." She said, wrapping her scarf around her neck. *Oh winter... That time of year when everypony gets to act like a foal.* She smiled at the thought and was just about to Lock the door of her shop when she noticed Yavolin still inside. "Hey, Are you coming ?" She asked, Sticking her head in the door.

 

"Well, excuse me! Your the one who brought a cactus to a snowball fight." Ace said shaking the snow off his head and put his glasses back on.

 

Yavolin got up and went out the door."Yea i am coming". Yavolin didn't have time for this kinda of thing mostly because no pony has ever took the time to be with him. He began to hate Draco for everything that's has ever happen to him but he knew it wasn't his fault.

"Hey Yavolin your welcome to join us celebrate Hearts Warming Eve, since it seems you have nothing else to do on that day."

Diamond giggled then locked the door as Yavolin trotted out. "Hey yea, We were all going to have some sort of party thingy... It will be loads of fun." She smiled and trotted down the small walk way leading to the tea shop, Slipping a couple times. "I gotta remember to put sand on that." She thought.

 

 

(OOC: I will be gone until this afternoon... And yes I mea, This afternoon this afternoon. Descant, You can control Diamond if you want... Or whoever, Just make sure whatever happens is not too exciting... I would like to be here for that.)

Rose put on a faux bravado. "No, I'm not scared." She declared, starting to laugh. Her laugh, as always, was a beautiful, sonorous thing. When she calmed down, she said, smiling, "I'm no good at dancing. But a sleigh ride-" her smile widened, "-sounds just wonderful." She looked at the sun, who was lazily falling down the sky. "It's getting late though. When did you have in mind?"

 

 

(OOC: I'll only take control of Diamond if something directly involves her. Ok?)

Yavolin nod his head yes, but he won't enjoy it mostly becasue he hates the holiday and anything that has to do with the holiday, he waited for thhem to head off to the party so he could fallow them there , but something poped in his mind tha was telling him to not even go.

"How about tomorrow?" Draco asked as he looked at his friend. "Come on I'll walk you home Rose," Draco said with a smile on his muzzle. His ears perked up "All pegasi on me quickly!" Draco exclaimed as he heard a fillies cry. Draco opened his wings as he quickly flew into the air. He saw black smoke from a house. "No,no I will not let what happened to me happen to others," draco whispered to himself. He dive bombed into the house quickly looking for the little children and parents.

Rose was about to smile, and allow Draco to walk her home when she heard the siren. Gasping, she ran after Draco, who had just flown off in the direction of a house, on fire. Rose knew she couldn't help the fire directly - she was actually very afraid of fire. But she was going to be ready. There were bound to be some serious burns, judging by the amount of smoke. Big fire. Rose shuddered.

Draco saw the little colts and fillies under their beds "Come on little ones it's okay I'm here to help you out okay," Draco said gently as he looked at them. he held out his hoof to them "It's okay I'm a friend," Draco said as he coerced them out as he hid them under his wings. He picked them up gently ad jumpped out the window with the children quickly.

 

"Rose take care of the little ones I'm going back in," Draco said as he panted. He placed a hoof over his chest "Not yet," Draco whispered as he placed the children into the snow. He ran back into the house quickly.

Ace saw what was happining and that Draco dived in again. "Draco hold on!" Ace dived in as well looking around the burning house looking for Draco. "Draco! *chogh* Where are you?!" Ace was looking franticly he thought he saw Draco and ranned towards him doging the debries and fire.

Draco put a mare onto his bed carefully while he was short of breath. He couldn't stop he had to save these two ponies if it is the last thing he'll do. He began to cough slightly as he looked for the father of the children. "where, where?" Draco looked around as he finally saw the stallion "Ace there that stallion pick him up," Draco said as he walked over to the stallion.

Draco put a mare onto his bed carefully while he was short of breath. He couldn't stop he had to save these two ponies if it is the last thing he'll do. He began to cough slightly as he looked for the father of the children. "where, where?" Draco looked around as he finally saw the stallion "Ace there that stallion pick him up," Draco said as he walked over to the stallion.

Ace lifted him onto his back coughing more. "I got him! Lets get out of here!" Ace tryed to go out teh door but more debries collaps blocking teh door with burnign wood. "Blast! We need to find another way out and fast!" Ace yelled inbetween choughs. This was not going well.

"Follow me then" Draco said jumpping out the window. He was covered in burns and he was also having an asthma attack. When he landed near Rose he dropped the mare off. He felt dizzy and swayed slightly. He couldn't breath as he looked around. "Roe be carefull," Draco said as he laid in the snow passed out.

Rose could have hit herself. How could she have let him go into the flaming house when he would surely have had an asthma attack from all the smoke? Now that the foals' parents were out of the house safely, and relatively unhurt, she rushed over to Draco's side. She opened her satchel, fumbling slightly out of the cold and of fright, and found the correct herb, which she, in a bright flash of deja vu, thrust into Draco's lolling mouth. His breathing eased immediately, and she used her magic to help him naturally filter out the smoke. When she was done, she knelt, tired from her efforts, and gazed at him, hoping he'd be okay.

Ace jumped out and landed in teh snow next to Draco, he gently laid teh stallion down on teh ground and collapse. "See...were ok...no problum...at....all." Ace said coverd in smoke and burns Ace choughed one more time before passing out in the snow as well. The last thing he saw was the house collapsing.

Draco's breathing was now normal thanks to Rose. He had some burns on him but he would be fine. The foals were safe and sound the childrens parents were too. Draco didn't want to be a hero but he just did what he thought was right. Within his mind he always tried to help others out.

Yavolin ran over to Draco he wanted to be sure he was safe and ok."Draco, are you alright"? Yavolin tried not to sound to concerned for him mostly because he had stuff to do that needed to get done. But regardless he didn't care enough to go and get it done.

"Besides the burns and near fatal asthma attack just fine," Draco said cheekily as he slowly awoke. "Now to get Ace and this family to the hospital," Draco said picked up Rose gentlely and placing her onto his back near his neck. He placed the other mare onto his mid back. "You'll need to help out too why don't you drag those two to the hospital," Draco said.

Rose sighed. "You're not strong enough to carry me. Just set me down. I need to help Ace too."

 

After being set down, Rose made her way over to the burned Ace, and helped Diamond clear up some of the more severe burns. She took the same herb she used on Ace, and forced it down his throat, then, as before, helped dissipate the smoke in his system.

Ace was breathing better now although he kept his eyes closed. The burns were being healed but some minor burns were still visable. Ace slowly opened his eyes and instintly closed them. "Ah, turn that light off thats to bright." Ace said not used to the sudden light.

"Jeez well jut like the first time we met eh Rose?" Draco chuckled as he looked at Rose's flank one more. he looked away quickly he didn't want her to think he was some creep. He slowly looked around "We need to get these two to the hospital you know," Draco said as the children looked at himwith tears in their eyes.
