Pan the Fabulous Ferret 2,642 December 11, 2012 Share December 11, 2012 (edited) Every day that we come onto this wonderful site, we see the little section for birthdays of that particular day. I almost always give a quick glance to see if anyone I know is having their birthday, but also almost always forget to click the view all birthdays today button. I am unsure of what method is used to choose which five people will be shown all day, but what I am suggesting, is that there be a randomizer of some sort. That way, on days with say, 15 birthdays, everyone will be on the front page at one point or another. I realize this isnt really a big concern, I am just throwing out the idea. That's how it worked for today's birthdays, the first one in the list joined the earliest, the last one is the latest. I think it'd be fair to have a randomizer, it would give everypony a chance to appear on the front page, even if they're the newest member! Well, if that is so, then that presents a disadvantage for many, especcially as you said, new members. I just skiimed ahead to my birthday, 6 people have birthdays on that day, so I am just getting knocked off the list. I also checked and none of them have been online either in a long time, or were only online to make a few posts and never be heard from again., or have been active contributors to the forum. It's a pretty reasonable suggestion. It is not exactly a high-priority task at this time, however, so while Scootacool and I will certainly keep it in mind, there is absolutely no ETA or guarantee we can provide on when/if this can happen.
