Is it possible to have a less advanced search system?

I find it hard to find the thread I want when I have to put the exact name and the author. If the author thing was optional, and the search relied on keywords it would be easier. This doesn't absolutely have to be done, I'm just wondering if you could do it. If no, then that's okay. If yes, then great.

It's because people are often lazy to tag their topics.

I can't really do much to change IP.Board's search system, but the author field is completely optional (you're talking about the advanced search form, right)? You do not need to enter the thread's exact title, either - by default, it will look for the words you enter in both thread titles and the posts made in the threads.

 

Also, tagging topics properly improves the accuracy of search results, too.
