jreidsma 54 January 8, 2013 Share January 8, 2013 I have just recently stumble upon MLP's, a few friends at school watched it and so I jumped in and ended up watching season 1,2, and 3 up until the newest episode all within the two week break for the holidays and new year. Just got done making a bunch of animated gif's from MLP also Might upload them sometime My many hobbies include computers, keeping plants and animals, fish keeping, mlp , linux, and a bunch of other things. Perhaps my more bigger hobbies are raising and keeping plants and animals. I keep many exotic/rare plants and animals. Psuedolithos, lithops, adeniums, pachypodiums, jades, crassula, climbing onions (sea onions), cacti, and many other caudex growing or succulent plants. Then I keep and breed beetles, scorpions, tarantulas, shrimp, and many other invertebrates. Along with my many fish tanks, which can contain pufferfish to my endlers livebearers.I also have my own website about Tillandsia (Air plants). Called The Tillandsia Forums. They are wonderful plants. They need no roots to survive and grow on trees or other objects Well, Hello everyone 2 http://servers.thetillandsiaforums.com/

jreidsma 54 January 8, 2013 Author Share January 8, 2013 Thanks Animals and plants are pretty cool Pseudolithos are kind of like a leaf-less blob that flowers once and a while, the flower stink like rotting meat from what I have heard yay lol. Lithops and the split rock plants are the living stones that look like fat stones. Caudex growing plants are pretty much any plants that get a fat base, many people find them ugly but I find them pretty in their own way I am not allowed to have birds or snakes, lol, out of all the things I have... If I ever find one of those really small ground snakes I am keeping them though Going to go to a reptile show sunday Got to get me some more animals! ... Maybe I have something in common with my avatar Well, better not ramble on about animals and plants for too long http://servers.thetillandsiaforums.com/

Do they need special sunlight or is there a certain way to water them? I was thinking of getting some because they would match my bedroom so well. And I've always wanted some sort of reptile, like an iguana, but my mother constantly tells me no. Cx 1 Click on the Banner for more info!
jreidsma 54 January 8, 2013 Author Share January 8, 2013 Depends on what you mean by special lighting. They like having bright light, so if you have a window that would be good. My eyes are bad though so I cannot handle sunlight so I have all artificial lighting. A simple setup like I use is just a 60watt desktop lamp and a 100w equivilant full spectrum flourescent light bulb and thats plenty for a few plants. Two lamps does quite a few plants. Watering, I just soak them once a week in spring water form the store for 2 or so hours. Thats all http://servers.thetillandsiaforums.com/
