Wallpapers - Minimalist Ponies

So I saw @@ProjectRKA's collection of minimalist wallpapers, and it inspired me to try to make one of my own. I don't really like the way it came out because of how much RD obstructs the words, but... Eh. xD So. Your thoughts, please?

Have a question though, how did you go about making this? I may wanna make one for like a signature.

Well, there's really a few steps... First, I went to the MLP Vector Club on Deviantart for the RD vector, and downloaded it... I just used the dropper tool to get the color of her body stroke color, than filled the background with it. Then I took her body fill color and used that for the text. I scaled it around until it looked good-ish, and the little bar in the middle was just an Idea I had. Also, in the original vector, RD had one eye open, so I just copied her closed eye and pasted it over the other one and did some fine-tuning to get it right.

I see. Well thanks for the info! I'll look into that Vector Club, see if I can find a good Derpy, and try to make something. One last thing, what program did you use to make the image or was it something else?

I used a probably-less-well-know-than-some program called Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. It works, but it doesn't always do everything you wan it to. I hear Gimp is a pretty capable program, but I've never really used it to a huge extent because I'm so used to the other program.

Again thanks for all the help and info you have given to me. Have downloaded that Gimp program, hopefully I first timer like me can make something at least passable. Wish me luck.

I barely spent any time on this, and as you can see, it didn't take that much work.

I didn't spend all that much time on my wallpapers either. What I used most time on, was figuring out which font to use, and which vectors to use.

 

OT: I like the wallpaper, actually. Also the way you placed the vector.

Gimp is basically a free version of photoshop

Thanks. :3 It's still not wuite as minimalist as I'd like it to be, but it'll do. Maybe I'll do some of these for the other mane 6 as well, but this was really just more of a test.
