Hello there, My name is Nuclear Cinnamon. I'm not new to watching the show by any means. In fact, I started watching it and getting to the community around October of 2011. I am however new to this forum and I figured I would give it a chance. I've just been looking for some new buddies to watch with and share the love for the show.

I was a part of a Skype/Mumble group a while back where we would just chill out, talk about the show, read fan fiction and look at art. Sometimes we would even go play some Steam games and/or non steam games together. Those days are gone now due to some issues that went through the group, I will spare the details. Another part of it is that I live in a rural area and as to my knowledge, there's nobody that I know that watches or likes the show. The people I do know are the ones that I have met at cons or meetups out of state. It would be nice to have those kind of friends again. It's kind of not the same when it's just you.

I may just be making up a bunch of excuses, but it truly feels like I've been rejected at every turn because I couldn't contribute anything to the fandom. Am I overreacting? Maybe. Hope this was the place to come, and if not it was worth a shot right?

 

And last but not least. My favorite pony is Derpy. That's just me.

Nobody in my area, likes MLP either, I guess you know how awkward it is sometimes this was the right choice and best choice to come.

Welcome, NC!  I don't know what half the stuff you're talking about in your introductory post is.  But if you're here to talk about MLP:FiM, you've found the place!    And if you want to discuss non-pony stuff, there are sections for that too.  I personally enjoy the great discussions about the newest episodes and the theories on why six seemingly ordinary ponies are able to perform such extraordinary things as a unit.  Explore and have fun!

Welcome to the forums Nuclear cinnamon! This is a great forum to be a part of, especially for ponies!

 

I wouldn't feel bad that you haven't contributed anything. I don't think its a requirement to contribute something to the community to be a brony. The simple fact your here makes the community all the more interesting! The more the merrier! Besides you contributed plenty of fun to your skype group of friends! I'd say that counts .

 

If you really want to you can always try drawing art or something, I didn't really do any drawing before I joined this community, but eventually I tried my hand at it, I'm still pretty bleh at it, but eh . Practice makes perfect.

 

You don't have to contribute any physical thing to the community really. Even just contributed to discussions and stuff is good anyways! I just hope you try and stay active, its always great to see new faces around!
