Your Favorite MLP Episode: Round Five Series

Well, as always, my vote goes to Too Many Pinkie Pies. I've written so much about how I love it on every level, so in a nutshell - it's the definition of cartoon, it's enormously humorous, it adds a very smart twist, it doesn't insult the watchers, it was heartfelt, it was completely zany, it was unending fun, it openly embraced a cliché and made it unique, it didn't take itself seriously, it had defined bright environment, everypony made an appearance and were in character, it had great continuity, it had an excellent moral, it gave tribute to both intended audience and Bronies, and it cemented in my mind that we had a brilliant, brilliant season to come.

 

Did I mention it has not just one of best pony, but forty of them? The Best Night Ever was also a fantastic episode, I was especially fond of how it felt like six episodes all at once, without becoming confusing - and it was such a fitting end to the first season because it needed to make sure you stayed with ponies through the 2011 summer. Ticked every box in doing that. The musical number, as well, was brilliant - to have all the Mane 6 with their own themed part of it was an outstanding way of telling the viewer "You've watched and loved these ponies for 25 episodes, and here's exactly why." Actually, all of the episode did that.

 

It feels weird not voting for it, because I do honestly love it loads - and a sad realisation is that it's got a very fair chance of winning over Too Many Pinkie Pies. But of course, nothing will ever top Too Many Pinkie Pies for me, so that's where my vote goes.

Voting for Best Night Ever for reasons similar to those stated before.  Too Many Pinkies was a great episode, but I prefer BNE because of how well I think its plot was done.

What can I say about this match?  Different opponent, but same result.  The Best Night Ever is going to the finals.

Voting for Too Many Pinkie Pies, for it's a great episode! And I don't like Best Night Ever that much for some reason... although it has its moments.

Too Many Pinkie Pies. I loved the Gala, but Pinkie was hilarious in that episode. Pinkie really grew in that episode too. I did think that seeing all of those ponies in adorable dresses was great, but seeing 30+ Pinkies? That takes it to a whole nother level.
