Calling all Louisiana/Gulf Coast bronies and pegasisters.

To all of you MLP:FiM fans around the Gulf Coast:

After much anticipation, a pony convention has finally come around to New Orleans.
It's called DerpyCon South, and here's a link to its official website: http://derpycons.com/
If you look around the site you'll find many ways to contact the team-they have meetups through Facebook and DerpyCon has forums of its own. Join those for more information and you can subscribe by email.

Anyways, the main point is that they need your help. It's their first, and considering how expensive they can be every dollar counts. Donations can be made on their indiegogo page here: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/338724/

Even if you can't donate, the least you can do is spread the word about it. You can tell people on other forums, social networks, or use the sharing tools of you have an indiegogo account. Louisiana doesn't have that many conventions to its name, so having a brand new event that appeals to such a broad and creative fanbase like FiM's would give fans of FiM in the Southeast US an innovative convention to marvel.

Every little thing counts, even if you decide to spread the word it can do so much. Hopefully it can come together to create an awesome event for bronies and pegasisters in Louisiana area. Thanks so much!

A pony convention in New orleans eh?

Well if I was to go to a pony convention it'd probably be this one, but to be fair I'm not probably going seeing as I'm a closet brony and I doubt I'd have other means to get there.

I wasn't aware there was many other bronies around here to be honest. I always thought I was in a quite small minority.

Maybe I'll hear about it on the local news here or something :P. I guess its cool to see theres finally gonna be one here though, maybe one day when i'm older and more independent I might consider going, till then I'll probably be passing for now.

Hopefully people attend though.

The fact that there are FiM fans in the Gulf Coast area that want to bring an innovative idea to light is an amazing thing, especially in an overlooked state for conventions like Louisiana. At the very least you spread the word about it, for this idea needs to get off the ground, and who knows? If it's successful, it might come around yearly and become a fairground for a wide variety of bronies and pegasisters in the Southeast US.

That just sucks. I have no money as of now. sad.png  When I do get some cash, I am definitely donating though. The best I can do right now is spread the word to my friends. This is just so exciting! It would be awesome having a convention here!yay.png

That looks really awesome. I've been waiting for a pony con here for a while, but I never expected it to happen. Although, being a minor who still lives with his parents and having no money, I most likely won't be going. Oh, well.

Y'know, I've been on this site for almost ten years and I've never had a proper signature. Ain't that something?
