Harmonic fiddles around with his desk, and a fold out table emerges, he lies it out in front of the class.

 

"Now, let's begin the demonstration. Would you please lie down in a position you find comfortable, miss Dawn? I will begin by demonstrating how you can affect the emotions portrayed in a dream."

'' Sure Mr.Harmonic.''

Laying down on my back, falling asleep gently on the floor.

Getting into a ready position, so the demonstration can start.

'' I am ready, so ready when you are sir.''

She closes her eyes gently, and does not move a muscle.

Keeps her tail back for a bit.

Star Rain levitated her leather notebook(it also had a pocket with a purple star embroidered on it on the cover) out of her saddlebags, along with a quill and a bottle of ink, and began to write down notes on the dream manipulation spell. Wow! Never heard of this spell before! she thought excitedly. Ok... "Can only work when the target is asleep..."

'' Sure Mr.Harmonic.''

Laying down on my back, falling asleep gently on the floor.

Getting into a ready position, so the demonstration can start.

'' I am ready, so ready when you are sir.''

She closes her eyes gently, and does not move a muscle.

Keeps her tail back for a bit.

"Now, I am going to cast a simple spell. When it does, you will feel a sleep coming over you, until you are fully asleep. You will see me in your dream, that is how you shall communicate with me. I will count slowly until I actually cast the spell." Harmonic says, standing over her.

 

"Ready? 3....2...1.." and then Harmonic casts a small bolt out of his horn at the young unicorn on the table.

Draco frantically flew to the school. He was late because he has to deliver something to hoity toity. Now he was late for the grand opening. "Oh man not good not good," He said aloud as he landed roughly at the gates. Draco hummed as he walked to Luna's office and knocked. "Uh milady I'm sorry if I'm late I had to deliver something to a Hoity Toity," Draco tried to explain as he panted. Flying from Manehatten was not easy.

The caster and the target will communicate with each other in the dream when this spell is casted. The spell will come out looking li- Star Rain stopped writing when she saw the spell casted at the unicorn on the table. She was slightly shocked, but she regained composure and kept writing. -ke a small bolt. Sleep will take over the target until they're fully asleep.

Starbright intently watched the demonstration at the front of the class, forgetting to even bother take notes. Instead, she dared not look away from the spell, in case she missed something exciting.

 

Lucky Splash lit his horn up, and the ingredients on the board suddenly appeared on the desk.

"hehe, such power is abused at some point, no doubt..." says Duine out loud, he really out to stop that talking out loud stuff.

 

In many senses, he knew very well anyone would abuse any time of power in a situation, it just happens. What would intrigue him the most about this spells class would be how ponies have abused just abilities in the past.

'' Well there you have it, that is how you use Dream Manipulation.''

Getting off the classroom floor, going back to her seat.

Midnight went to his first class which was nature , he went out into the gardens and began to wait for his teacher with a very unkept mane, he was sweating very badly becasue he couldn't be late  on his first day to class and he want to be like Star swirl who he was sure was never late on anything.

Used by doctors. Can help with depression, insomnia, & anxiety. But its dark side emerged during the Jaded Emerald War. Star Rain then stopped writing for a moment. Jaded emerald? How can an emerald be covered with jade? Hmmm, I guess the spell was used to impose negative emotions and nightmares on their victims. It must've been a war of dreams or something! She then stopped her whirlpool of thoughts, levitated the quill, and kept taking notes again.

"Now, onto how sleep warfare was applied. Soldiers in the Equestrian Army were often targets of Nightmares mainly because it both unsettled them and increased their heart rates. They were also less rested, making attacks on Equestrian held strongholds easier. Can anypony tell me the proper way to counter such an attack?"

In reality, that is how Duine got rid of nightmare in the past, although he also knew getting mad was not useful in real life, as he found in experience.

The soldiers were targets of nightmares because it made them anxious and increased their heart rate. Reduced rest. At the mention of the question asked by the teacher, Star Rain raised her hoof into the air. She was positive in her answer and tried to wait patiently for the teacher to call on her.

Luna returned to her study, and pulled out the sheet of staff. Frowning, she realised the shortage. 'It appears I should have prepared more precisely.' She thought to herself, and sighed, looking out her window to the school gardens, where a Nature class should be taking place, if they had a teacher for that subject. 'I may have to step in.' Unfolding her wings, she stepped outside her office, and made her way down the staircase, and into the east wing, where she entered the gardens, where she saw a colt. "Greetings, young one. Is this where the Nature class is being held currently?" She asked.

 

Harmonic nods as Dawn walks away.

 

He then notices that Duine spoke out. He looked a bit perplexed. But he had a smile.

Harmonic looks right at Starbright, and claims "No, not necessarily, there were spells powerful enough to keep ponies in sleep. Sometimes forever. However, I will save that for my lecture on paralysis. Without the assistance of magic, they could not wake themselves."

He smiled softly."alright". he took out his pen and readied to start taking notes from the princess of the night. He never heard of these types of plants before nor read about them which put him in a slight state of panic but he kept it will hidden. He tried to relax some around the princess.

Actually I can help you with that," Draco said as he had followed her. "I know afew plants that I've learned in my travels across the world," he said slightly "What I'm a worldly pony I know afew tricks to magic, alchemy, or plants," Draco said as he shrugged. He walked off to see if any one of the other teachers needed help. He doubted it but hey, anything is possible with unicorns he guessed.
