I am an artistically inclined (a little bit talented even) pony(brony?) from way up of the Northern latitudes of Finland.

I have been hit by pony fever hard, which likely was influenced by my previously existing condition of pony-fandom. Yes, those horribly sugary and overblown in pretentious cuteness shows actually were something I had watched and liked save few terrible direct to video manifestations.

 

I am oldpony for sure having being introduced to ponies in the 80's and early 90's when I was still a young colt and then lived my life as blatant brony fan since. In kindergarten my bestest friends were a bunch of girls who let me play with some of their ponies with them. In school my bronydom was not so well received so I had to tone it down for several years. But love died nowhere.

 

Then along came Fantastic Miss Faust and made ponies cool. Not only 20% cooler but a whole new level of coolness and finally validated the potential I had seen and loved in the show for years.

My artist pseudonym even for years was loaned name from g2 pony called Patch, A sporty Tomboy sort whom I adored for her outgoing attitude.

 

So yeah, here's something about my history with ponies, I hope this forum a long life and am happily joining under the banner of ponies in friendly conversation and community.

I don't think I've met a guy yet who has loved ponies way back since the 80's. Good for you that you never let go of your fandom!

Thank you for the welcomes! I am glad to hear the user base is growing rapidly, I already linked my friend to this forum too he may or may not join X3 How ever that turns I am sure I will enjoy this forum and likely will have some art to post too sooner than later.

It was nice to see a forum fully dedicated to ponies out there, earlier having lurked Reddit /r/mylittlepony I always felt like the community needed a more customization friendly environment.

I like Patch from the earlier TV series. From the few movies out there I had no specific favourites but I enjoyed the atmosphere. Always been unapologetic lover of cute and colourful things. Even though I am a guy
