Skyshine trotted through Ponyville, sighing and thinking about her life. She looked right, left, then right once again before crossing Mane Street. She turned down the road, and cantered toward Sugarcube Corner. Sky flung open the door and shouted, "Pinkie, I need your help." Pinkie jumped, startled. "You know everypony in Ponyville. I need somepony who's perfect for me." The baker nodded. "I think I know who you need."

Splinter trotted into Sugarcube Corner with a bright smile on his face. ''Okay, how many days have I gone without bad luck?'' Splinter said while trotting around the room happily and scribbling a number on a little notepad with a quill. ''Three days! That's the longest ye-'' Splinter had almost exclaimed before being cut off and tumbling over. ''Better make that zero.''

Wish trotted into Sugarcube Corner looking over the shopping list she carried with her pale blue horn magic. "That'll be four cupcakes, and perhaps some sugared carrots," she muttered to herself. Wish didn't have a special somepony at all; many were put off by her bluntness, or just wanted her to perform her dramatic magic for their parties. She felt lonely sometimes, tho of course nopony could be lonely at Sugarcube Corner. She collected her goods, but hung around a bit. Wish loved the atmosphere of the store, and often wanted to linger there.

Sky looked around at the other ponies in the bakery; clumsy stallion, soliciting mare in the corner. None of them seemed to be paying attention. She leaned in to Pinkie, looked around once more, and whispered, "Who is he?" Pinkie looked serious for a moment, as if she were going to tell her, then burst out laughing, shrugging. "I don't know. Figure that out yourself, silly filly!" Skyshine sighed. "So close..."

''Well, considering I just stumbled in here like a clueless wanderer.. Might as well make some friends while I'm at it, too.'' Splinter said while shrugging and trotting over to a blue earth pony standing by Pinkie Pie. ''Uh.. Hello.'' Splinter said shyly while putting on a poker face of nervousness. ''This always happens.''

Wish sighed as she saw the stallion walk over to the earth pony. Altho she hadn't really noticed him as such, she often dreamed of such a thing happening to her. The unicorn often felt a bit lonely, especially recently; she realised that she only ever got to meet other ponies when she put on magic displays.

Skyshine looked over at the stallion, a bit surprised. "Wha- Oh, hey." She outstretched a hoof toward the pony, and waited for him to take it. 'Well, this isn't awkward' she thought, after a second of sitting there.

Splinter shook her hoof. ''Well, one minute into this and I'm already turning it into an awkward convention.'' Splinter thought while rolling his eyes to himself and grinning. ''So.. What's your name?'' Splinter asked while he had put on one of his worst poker faces as he asked the question.

"Skyshine. You?" She smiled and nodded at the pony, ears folded down, like they always were in awkward situations. Her eyes had a shine of red pass through the middle, then fade. "So, um, what do you want to talk about?"

''My name is Splinter.'' Splinter said while grinning. ''But I have no idea what we should talk about.'' Splinter said while his smile slowly began to disappear. ''Approaching a pony without having a simple conversation to have is definitely one of the most humiliating things you've done, Splinter.''

Wish sighed once more and decided to talk to Pinkie. The party pony had already asked Wish to put on a display at her next party, and Wish wondered when that was going to be. Of course, with Pinkie, the next party was likely to be very soon, maybe even the very next day. In any case, a Pinkie party would be the perfect time to meet a stallion.
