What do you think is in store for the franchise now?

Hi.

 

I'm a recent fan of MLP:FiM which I horribly regret because I wish I could've been a fan earlier, now with changes made like Twilight becoming an Alicorn and so forth.

 

We already know that the series is getting a fourth season but do you think it will still continue after that? And on top of that, how big will the franchise plus the fandom be in a few years time? A full video game (not a fan-made one on the Internet, like a video game released for the PS3, Xbox and so forth)? I already know there's Equestria Girls which has the ponies as humans, but I don't think thats as interesting as the show itself. To me, it just seems they want to have them as humans just for the sake of having them as humans and I always prefer them as ponies. Don't we already have that sort of thing from the fandom anyway? I apologise to those who like the idea, I just find it redundant.

 

I just ask this because, I felt like a missed out on so much and I don't want the fandom or the show itself to end too soon when I just got into the whole thing. Yeah, I know that sounds selfish or spoiled, but if you were in my position, you'd understand.

First off to say its redundant to make them into human characters? How so except the bronies have already did it but in my opinion a show sounds pretty hella cool! I don't think you have to worry about the show ending anytime soon. There making too much money for it to just end. They aren't going to cut it anytime soon! I don't get why people complain about alicorn twilight though. We all knew it was coming sooner or later! I think you'll be okay. The series will probably keep evolving but not in a bad way.

Perhaps redundant was a poor choice of words. I guess I just didn't know how they could handle it, but hey, if they pull it off well and uniquely, then I'll definetly be interested. And thanks, I just wish I was brony when Twilight was still in her unicorn form.

I think the show is going to be fine. To be honest, it's kind of stupid to say the show's going to die now. We just finished season 3. We don't really know anything about season 4. Saying it's over is just being unreasonable.

Well judging by the state of the show, there are a lot of expectations and speculations to what will happen in Season 4. But, the aftermath of Season 3 still remains.

The show is not going to end after season 4, first of all, they wouldn't let it end and also because there are so many potentials left for the show. As long as there are fans of the show, the show will keep going. The fandom is not going anywhere and it will last long after the show will end.. Whenever that will be.. Hopefully never. Also, the fandom is only around two and a half years old. It's still rather new, so you don't have to worry about it, it's not going to end anytime soon.. The important thing is that you gave the show a change and now your here. Just think about it, maybe you would have done something differently, maybe you would have decided to do something else that day, and then you wouldn't be here.

 

In my case, i was just bored, i saw my little sister watching it.. I just decided, i have nothing better to do. I was not ready to spend 20 minutes of my life on "my little pony" but look at me now.. Here i am.

 

I myself, felt bad about joining it late.. I had watched a few episodes, did not finish them, in the mid summer 2012, i even loved it back then.. I could have joined a lot earlier.. But i never finished an episode, so i didn't fall in love with the series until 11th or 12th november 2012. I used to be worried like you, especially with the twilicorn drama going on.. I actually thought the fandom was going to end.. After watching videos with titanic representing the brony fandom.. I was actually sceptical about joining the internet part of the fandom, because i honestly didn't expect it to last long.

 

The fandom is stronger then we think.

 

Trust me, keep calm and brony on.

 

Sometimes, you just have to make a decision and follow it through. I decided, that this show, this fandom has given me too much.. I will go down with my ship.. You can expect to see me here for a long time.. Im not going anywhere... Brony for life.

 

Don't worry we can expect a lot more seasons filled with adventures, they're not going to let the show end, at least not while it's popular. Also, they have great writers, if you remember from the con, i think it was Meghan, it was for why they made Discord become good. It was his potentials as a good character, too make him appear more often.. Not her direct words, but i remember reading it somewhere. I don't want to say anything, but that means that they want to keep him in the future seasons. Which means, we could expect the fifth season.. Or at least some episodes in season 4 with Discord. Believe me, we have a lot to look forward too.

 

All im saying, is that we have lot of future episodes. Just be happy that you found out about the show and that you decided to give it a change. Brohoof /)

Actually I was already aware of the show and the fandom since the beginning, I just wasn't fond of it. I was still trying to find who I am which caused years of depression and self-harming. Then when I decided to give the show a chance, it left me with regrets and even more depression that I didn't give a chance earlier. I could've lived those years more happily if I did. And I felt like a close-minded person for not doing so. Unlike the rest of the fandom who are optimistic and open-minded. I'm sorry if I'm bringing negativity like this, but I just had to get my feelings out if I'm ever going to feel better and have fun with my life. But many thanks for helping me out!

 

Although I'd still like to know from other users about how the fandom and the show itself is going to evovle since it's already huge as of now. lol

It is hard to say at this point in time what the future holds for mlp to be honest. I have really enjoyed everything they have put out thus far. Even though i didn't like "alicorn idea". I am not worried that the series is drawing to an end. I actually believe that it opened up possibilities for the show. We will have a lot of interesting episodes with Twilight getting used to all this "princess" thing, i also think that Luna will see more of the spotlight in the future seasons. Since the mane 6 will probably get more involved with them.. Now that Twilight is a princess. So i can tell you that the show will keep going strong for at least couple of years. Although, i believe that maybe they were originally planning on making Twilight becoming an alicorn the end. Since, that was her destiny.. But i believe that they must have extended it. She has yet to become Celestia's successor.. I can tell you, that will take a while.

 

Also, we have yet to see the other characters reach their destiny. I am not saying that the show will keep on going forever... As much as i hate to admit it, it will probably one day end. All im saying is that the show has a long way to go untill it comes to an end.. It's not ending anytime soon.

 

We will be seeing a lot more adventures... a lot more episodes have yet to come. Who knows, maybe it will be like the simpsons, south park or Family guy.. Maybe it will continue going on as long as it's popular. Which basically means, as long as the show keeps being awesome.. It will contine going for at least a few years.

 

I have no worries at all, unless they would want to turn all of the mane 6 into alicorns.. Then i will become really worried.
