So I suppose I'm very new to the whole idea of participating in a fandom forums site, but..I'll give it a go and see how I like it.

I'm an avid fan of the show and I've been watching since the first showings of some of the later Season 1 episodes- about two years then? I own plenty of show merchandise and I have my own ponysona, Fiona! She's still in the works, unfortunately, but I'm doing my best to get her sorted out! I'm very much female, but I just don't find preference to the term 'pegasister'. ouo

In addition to all that, I'd like to consider myself a pony artist, though a very casual one! My deviantArt can be viewed here: http://koshi-doshi.deviantart.com/

I've had some bumps and bruises along the way of being a brony but I suppose the entire fandom isn't that bad and I'm more than excited to perhaps meet some other fellow bronies on this forum!

Well, sometimes I call myself pegasister, sometimes I call myself female brony. Honestly, I don't have much preference on that whatsoever! So, whether male or female, "brony" does fit in either gender. :3

Welcome, btw! I am also female, and a female brony, so yay! Octavia's Hall might be a perfect section just for you since you are an artist. You can showcase your work there, as well as offer your services to create works like signatures, OC ponies and many more.

You'll like it here at MLPf. You just gotta get down to postin', ya? I'd be more than happy to be your first friend. Send me a message my way, I love making & meeting new friends. :3 Have fun!

Your avatar immediately caught my attention. xD Rarity's one of my favorite ponies and I love the piece featured in your icon- crystal Rarity, whoo! c:

And it's nice to meet another female brony! Thank you for giving me a bit of guidance around the forums- I have checked out Octavia's Hall and I'm looking to set up some commissions in the future as soon as I meet prerequisites and get used to the swing of things! I've also been poking my nose around some of the fanart threads- definitely a section I'll have to come back to!

Thank you very much and I'd definitely be interested in being friends on here!

Welcome to the forum, sugarcube, but I think we already met in Show Discussion.  :)

We have a thread on whether Brony or pegasister is the preferred term for female fans.  The impression I get is that only newcomers to the fandom think Brony is male sounding because of the "bro" in it.  Most fans tend to use it as a gender neutral term.

I think that Brony should be both. Pegasister sounds a bit cooler, but it sounds a bit sexist when brony is only used for males.

Oh and fluff:Stop at the pub for some cider. If needed, I'll help pick up the tab. 4 bits to a pint!
