Hello, everypony! I scoured the internet for a MLP forum and, low and behold, this one quickly popped up! Graced by convenience and a desire to join the fandom, I've set down here and see where things will lead.

To keep my background brief, I'm a graduate student who happened to come across MLP thanks to the internet and a very good friend of mine. At first I was only familiar with the show through the widespread memes disseminated through internet bronies and the like. I decided to check out what all the fuss was about, and got my hands on the entire first season. When I traveled to Ohayocon this past week with two close friends, one of them had the entire first season and first few episodes of the second season. When we weren't scouring the convention, we watched MLP nearly nonstop in our room, completing the first season within a span of three days! By the end of the convention, I had a Pinkie Pie hat and a newfound affinity for MLP. In short, I had become a brony myself.

Aside from MLP, I am a huge fan of Sailor Moon, which probably explains why I took to MLP rather easily and without much hesitation, despite the feared social stigma of being a grown man enjoying shows aimed at young girls. I also enjoy Death Note, and had the privilege of meeting Brad Swaile (the North American voice actor for Light Yagami) at Ohayocon. Outside of animated series, I am an enormous fan of The Matrix films as well as the new James Bond movies (Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace) and Marvel films (Iron Man, Captain America, et al.). With respect to video games, Team Fortress 2 and retro Sonic games top my list. As you can tell quite obviously, I am rather verbose, so excuse me if I end up writing enormous posts every once in a while when one paragraph would otherwise be sufficient. I think I'll stop here and end with a heartfelt "I'm glad to be here!"

The only thing you and I disagree on are Bond Films. I think Craig fails almost as bad as Dalton did. Don't get me wrong, I still like the movies, they just...aren't James Bond anymore.

Don't take my opinion bitterly. Welcome to the forum.

I agree the best bondfilms was the ones with Sean Connery and Roger Moore

I'm of the opposite opinion, for the most part: I think Dalton and Craig got Bond closer to Flemming's design as opposed to the comedic antics of Roger Moore. All I have to do is pull out Moonraker and glaring problems appear across the board. I only really enjoyed The Spy Who Loved Me out of the Moore films.

Comparing the Bonds is a tricky business, though, since all of them had different approaches. Connery did a wonderful job. Too bad Lazenby got stuck being the "not Sean Connery" Bond.

Anyhow, no worries! To each his or her own.
