"I was just thinking the same thing... you know what they say, great minds think alike."

He smiled greatly, putting a wing over Star as they walked together towards the Canterlot Hospital to make an appointment to see if Star would be having a foal soon.

 

Star smiled as the neared the hospital. Even if they were just going for a check up...she still felt the usual "Ugh hospitals" feeling...she never really enjoyed going to the doctor. She pushed open the front door and walked in next to Nightfall.

Nightfall trotted up to the reception desk.

"Hello. My wife and I are hear to make an appointment; we want to know if she will be having a foal or not."

He smiled, and when he said "foal," he brightened a little bit. It was obvious he was hoping that they were.

Nightfall trotted up to the reception desk.

"Hello. My wife and I are hear to make an appointment; we want to know if she will be having a foal or not."

He smiled, and when he said "foal," he brightened a little bit. It was obvious he was hoping that they were.

The pony nodded. "Alright...your doctor iiiis ?" She looked at Star. "Dr. Hay Jonston." She said.

The nurse nodded and trotted over to a cabinet full of files. She flipped through a few pages and returned to Nightfall and Star. "Alrighty. There is an opening later this afternoon at around five o-clock...will that work for you two ?" She asked.

Star nodded. "Works for me." She said, looking up at Nightfall.

The pony nodded. "Alright...your doctor iiiis ?" She looked at Star. "Dr. Hay Jonston." She said.

The nurse nodded and trotted over to a cabinet full of files. She flipped through a few pages and returned to Nightfall and Star. "Alrighty. There is an opening later this afternoon at around five o-clock...will that work for you two ?" She asked.

Star nodded. "Works for me." She said, looking up at Nightfall.

 

"Today?"

He blinked.

"That's perfect."

He smiled again, but this time a much bigger smile than before.

"Thanks so much."

He turned and started trotting towards the door, holding himself back from breaking into song and dancing, all while hugging Star. Nothing could make him happier, except to hear that he was having a foal.

He blinked.

"That's perfect."

He smiled again, but this time a much bigger smile than before.

"Thanks so much."

He turned and started trotting towards the door, holding himself back from breaking into song and dancing, all while hugging Star. Nothing could make him happier, except to hear that he was having a foal.

 

Star smiled at the mare and happily followed Nightfall out the door. She just couldn't get rid of this feeling...they hadn't been told that she was gonna have a foal...but she knew that she was. "Nightfall...I don't even think we need a doctor...I am almost positive that we will be having to stop a little baby pony from swinging off the curtain hangers." She chuckled and put her wing around him.

 

 

 

Ocean made her way into the market...which looked to be a bit of a mess.

She walked over to the usual rare items stand and bought a few potion ingredients before making her way towards her shop.

Ocean made her way into the market...which looked to be a bit of a mess.

She walked over to the usual rare items stand and bought a few potion ingredients before making her way towards her shop.

 

What she said made him more excited. So excited, in fact, that he immediately stopped and hugged her tightly, shaking with joy.

"Oh, Star! I- I honestly can't describe how happy I am right now! Oh, this is so exciting!"

He nearly had to trot in place to help release all the excitement pent up in him.

"Oh, Star! I- I honestly can't describe how happy I am right now! Oh, this is so exciting!"

Star chuckled and hugged him back. "I know I know." She said. She completely ditched the idea of not getting her hopes up...the truth is she had been wanting this for quite a while now so she didn't want to think about the fact that she may not be pregnant.

 

 

 

Ocean unlocked the door leading into her shop and flicked on the lights then switched the open sign from closed to open.

Standoff was jogging through the market when he saw him. He was with somepony, and they were really chumming it up. He took a short look, then turned on his heel and used a stall as a stepladder, the vendor shouting at him as he took to the roofs to escape the alicorn.

Nightfall smiled, but heard a commotion. He noticed a pony climbing to the roof and running in the opposite direction. He took a couple of steps forward, and narrowed his eyes, trying to remember where he had seen this pony before. But nothing came to him. He looked back at his wife and smiled.

Star placed a few bits onto the counter then looked up at the pony climbing the roof, then she looked at Nightfall. "Um...what was that all about ? Do you recognize him ?" She asked, looking back up at the pony.

At that moment, Oril appeared from the ground, pitch black coat but white and a little unruly mane. His cutie mark was just a white cross. He stood by Lite, smiling. "I love this...", he said quietly.

Frost raised an eyebrow, taking note of the cobalt-colored mare. She seemed to have...an exotic aura surrounding-

 

Why was he overthinking this again? He could just go say hi. Finished with his soda, he left his chair and trotted up to her. "Hey, I don't think I've seen you around here before. Do you and your...friend wanna have a drink?"

Seeing a store sign, Standoff jumped and caught it, lowering himself into an entirely different street. He looked inside and took off again, running to a seemingly random alley and ducking into a decrepit-looking doorway, out of the deserted street.

Why would you just say something like that?!", she quickly scorned him, while Oril was rubbing the back of his head in pain. "But I never said anything!"

Why would you just say something like that?!", she quickly scorned him, while Oril was rubbing the back of his head in pain. "But I never said anything!"

 

Lite ignored his remark, focusing back on this pony. "A drink? Lite and Oril went and took a seat, with Lite ordering a light mango margarita, Oril just sitting there not ordering anything. "Oh, a band member.... Interesting... And, as for me and Oril here, we are of a far away land.. Really hard to pronounce on hoof, so I'll spare you the air of trying to know."

Standoff emerged into a dimly-lit room with a heavily scarred, brown pony sitting at a table under a bare light bulb. "Oh hello, Schtandoff. Got any vork for me?" "Yeah. You remember Nightfall? From that plane with the bigass modern war going on?" "Are you sayink..." "Sure am. Go get 'im."

Red had always prided himself on being that little bit more agile than Standoff. It was nothing personal, he just needed to be better at some things so he didn't feel redundant. Tearing along a rooftop beside the market, he saw and cataloged a few dark blue ponies. But not the one he was...

 

There.

 

He'd seen that face through a scope and up close, and Red Alert never forgot a face.

As the target went into the bakery, Red took the opportunity to hide beside the door, waiting for the alicorn he'd almost owed his court-marshalling to to come out so he could end this. He'd always hoped that he'd see him again on his travels, but his hopes had a habit of not coming true.

Until now, that is.

Star nodded and happily trotted into the bakery but then she stopped and turned to look at Nightfall. "You...don't think that  having pie would be bad for the baby would it ? I heard somewhere that you should eat healthily when you're pregnant...but I guess a little bit wouldn't hurt." She said, her eyes resting on a fresh blueberry pie that looked as if it had just come out of the oven.
