"I... don't really wanna go back to her.", Oril said to Ocean, sipping a bit of his chai tea, and setting it down onto the table. "It's most likely that she won't be forgiving, and she'll just treat me the same way... I just don't want to be like Night Shimmer and--" He threw a hoof to his mouth, realizing he had talked too much.

 

"Its okay...I still have no idea what you are talking about. All this stuff about another world, somepony named Night Shimmer." She said, sipping her tea and looking out the window. "Well, i'm sorry to say that I don't really know what to say...which is rather rare. You want to leave her but you cant leave her...you got yourself into a pickle."

"I never did... She has the power to make things like me... I just can't get myself into anything... Well, Lite says that I get into trouble... I never do, though... Everyone says that I'm just the cutest to go around... One mare even had a crush on me... Though, she sounded more masculine than feminine... I didn't know what that was about, but it was a little weird...", Oril explained, taking another sip of his tea.

"I never did... She has the power to make things like me... I just can't get myself into anything... Well, Lite says that I get into trouble... I never do, though... There's no other viable solution at this point... If I had the magic to, I could just run away... She only gave me the form of an Earth Pony..."

Star shook her head. "I'm...I'm happy but i'm just worried about what happened earlier...why would somepony want to do that, we were just getting pie and...i'm scared Nightfall." She said, walking up next to him and looking down towards the ground. "I'm really happy because we're gonna have a foal but I don't want that to happen again Nightfall."

Ocean stayed quiet and finished her tea. She opened her mouth as if she was about to speak...but stopped as nothing came to mind.

 

"I'll give you all the time you need, my love. While you're gone, I'll see how long I will need to stay. That way, I can tell you, when you get back- no, that would be wasteful. Let me call someone."

Nightfall pressed the service button and waited for someone to arrive.

The nurse took a quick look at her clipboard then back up. "I am afraid to say you're going to have to stay here over night, just until tomorrow morning. That wound was very very close to puncturing a lung so we just want to be safe. I also have something I need to tell you...although you seem like you already know...Doctor Jonston told me to stop by and it was only coincidence that you called a nurse as I was coming by. And its confirmed...Star, you are pregnant." She said, giving them a happy smile.

Star's face lit up and she ran over to Nightfall. She gave him a tight hug but quickly let go. "Oh no i'm sorry." She said, worried that she hurt him.

I don't talk much but I usually don't find myself not knowing what to say." She said, making the last few drops of tea float around inside the cup. She watched the drops of tea fly around each other for a few moments before she looked back out the window.

He reached up and hugged her tightly.

"Oh, Star! I'm- I'm speechless and don't know what to do!"

He smiled at her.

"Well, now we know the things we wanted to know. You can go home to get the things to stay for the night. Oh, my love!"

"Um... No, I wasn't planning on anything else. Oril is fine off by himself. He shouldn't cause problems.", Lite said to Arctic, looking straight at him.

Frost nodded. "That's good then." He could still sense something was bothering the cobalt mare, but decided against pushing her further. Besides, didn't he have somewhere to be? He was pleased that he hadn't annoyed her by disappearing for the market incident, that was probably enough. "Well, I think I should probably go make sure Nightfall is okay." Frost turned away, changing his course to head for the hospital. Before leaving, he glanced back over his shoulder with a warm smile. "Thanks for putting up with me for today. If you ever want to hang out, look me up. I could get you tickets to Colt's next performance, if you like." And with that, he set off for the hospital. Edited March 21, 2013 by Seraphim

Have a good day, Congratulations to you and your wife." She said, smiling and trotting out the door.

 

 

Star landed just outside her and Nightfall's apartment. She walked in and grabbed a few things. She was just walking out the door before she stopped and ran to the bathroom. She came out a few moments later and trotted back out the door, locking it behind her.

She walked downtown to the bakery (Which for some reason was still open after what had happened) and trotted in.

She walked up to the counter and smiled at the pony behind it. She was about to speak before the pony put his hoof in the air. "Before you say anything...I saw what happened today and I called the guards. Your pie is on the house." He said, taking a whole blueberry pie from a shelf and handing (Hoofing ?) It across the counter for Star.

Star's eyes widened and she took the pie, smiling happily. "How very kind of you...thank you so much." She said.

The baker nodded as Star skipped out the door back towards the hospital.

She trotted down the hall and into Nightfall's room. "Hi Honey, The baker was very nice and he...oh...sorry." She said, blushing as she noticed the other pony in the room.

Nightfall lay there, smiling, almost in a weird way, when a nurse poked her head through the doorway. "Nightfall? You have a visitor."

"Oh. Who is it?" He wanted to make sure it was someone he could trust.

"It's a grey pegasus stallion. He says his name is... Arctic Frost."

"Oh! Let him in!"

Frost grinned as he was admitted into the room, nodding to the nurse. "Hope you didn't poke him up too badly. Can't lose my favorite guitarist." He entered the room, giving his friend a look that seemed halfway between surprise and relief. "Everything alright, Nighty? I swear, if I see that pony again..." He gave him a once-over glance, tracing the bandages to the stab wound on his chest. So he escaped with a small gash from the knife. It was a relief that it hadn't been worse.

 

Frost was about to bring up the warpony he had bumped into in the market, but lost his train of thought when the aqua blue zony (FoE reference, yet again) walked in. In answer to her question, he chuckled. "Ooooooo Nighty's got a girlfrieeeeeeend." He meant it in a light, humorly way, of course. That was just his style.

Lite seemed a bit happier from Arctic's proposition, and smiled. "All right, Arctic... I shall see you later.", she said, as she went to walk off somewhere else.
