Super Rainbow Dash In-Show

I just wanted opinions on super rainbow dash. Like if it was added next season, how they would do it, and what you think of it. For those of you who do not know, super rainbow dash is sort of like super sonic, but 20% cooler. (Sorry, couldn't resist)

The very best way I could see for Super Dash being included in the actual show would be if the other five Elements of Harmony obtained 'super' forms too, and they used them to stop some climactic event from destroying Equestria or something. Twilight could have her fire-Twi form that she displayed briefly at peek anger in Feeling Pinkie Keen, like in my avatar.

 

This said, I feel that, no matter how she was included in the show, there'd be tons of hate for it. Super forms are usually cliche, especially one like this that vaguely references Super Sonic, what with the brightness and invulnerability. Sure they could give her different powers instead, but it would still feel a bit cliche. Even if it was fucking epic

If this were to happen, it would be Twilicorn all over again. Even if it was just a temporary thing. People don't like it when characters get "power-ups."

The only way it would possible in the show, is if the Elements of Harmony somehow had a super effective boost to the users. It is like a Super Sonic kind of thing and like Twilight evolving into a fire burst of rage. Or as a added bonus, if they combined all of the elements together to form Super Ponies with altered abilities but they keep their cutie mark elements.

you mean the rapidash looking flames in feeling pinkie keen? I know they are cliche but it doesn't change the fact that it would be awsome. Ps. I thought the same thing.

Hmm, not really, but I do kinda get bothered when I see these kind of negative topics floating around.

 

I don't necessarily agree with the various negative reasons stated, but nonetheless, I still respect them.

I love power up forms. It just adds to the character's personality and it also opens new doors to new situation. I mean, what if the elements of harmony weren't enough. What if they had a secret power within them that can be unlocked by the bearer.

I think seeing Super Rainbow Dash would be pretty fricken cool in the show, as would super forms of the other mane 6 (sorry Spike, I don't consider you to be a main character even though you are one).

 

However, it would be borrowing heavily on Super Sonic in its current form, which borrowed from Dragon Ball Z. 

 

So its a nice idea, but I'd rather leave it as a fan made idea.

I still think they might add the super form thing, they have been doing a really good job with the fanservice. Just look at derpy, vynl scratch, and doctor hoof. Even if it is overused, I would really like to see what they do to add on to it (I would rather it be unique to RD instead of all 6 of them. Its already overused, just look at dbz and sonic, most characters have the super form in those shows.)

Pretty much everything borrows from the ones who came before, and honestly, there doesn't seem to be a problem with it. Otherwise, creativity would be heavily stifled if people did have a problem with it.

 

Nothing is original, no matter how you look at it or try to deny it. On the other hand, though, you DO have try to be as unique as possible, as I've did with Super Dash's design. Like you mentioned, if I didn't try to be unique, I would've outright colored her golden yellow like Super Sonic. It didn't turn out that way as you can see, and I'm glad I didn't.

 

So that's why I (mostly) don't see her akin to Sonic or DB, and that's why I don't get some people that are reminded of them on sight of her... I could just as easily liken her to, say, Danny Phantom or something. But am I going to?

 

Just my response to this. Same goes to the cliche thing, btw. Pretty much everything we see in stories these days is cliche, if you ask me. But I still get some entertainment and epicness out of them, you know. =)
