Shade dove under the net and crawled... She then pushed herself off the ground and ran for the tires... She jumped into every tire and continued to run... It was the three legged part that was up next... She tied the rope around her ankle and waited to tie the rope around midnights.

Midnight jumped into the tires, stumbling slightly on the last one and then raced after Shade.  He halted beside her and put his ankle to hers.

Luna and Celestia struggled against the shadowy binds.  Sombra raised his head up and clenched his teeth together as he pulled the shadows down, thus, pulling at Celestia and Luna.

The floor beneath Celestia and Luna broke away.  The two sisters screeched as they got pulled down to the ground floor below.  Sombra jumped back as the floor in front of him broke away, holding onto the magic the best he could.  He had another floor to go through now.

Shade quickly tied her ankle to midnight and started walking towards the finish line... This was the hardest part of the race, and if they fall... Equestria falls as well.

Villan was nibbling away at his nails as the final part of the race was underway.

Human shade had been in the market pickpocketing all the cellphones and wallets she could. She then made her way to an alleyway to unload the stuff and then begin her plan.

Midnight took a large step forward.  "We have to hurry!" he cried, watching a couple of the rushing past them.

Discord turned his head to the side and watched them from the corner of his eye.  If he had magic he would probably cheat for them.  But at the moment, he had nothing.

It scared him a bit.

Sombra took a few steps forward and looked down through the hole to where Celestia and Luna lay on the ground floor, moaning as the shadows continued to pull at them.

The princesses looked up at him as he gave them one last hard tug and they slipped through the ground, getting pulled through the dirt, the shadows making them slip through it without even giving the dirt a shudder.

They fell through the dirt and into a dark underground room.

"Ugh!" Luna and Celestia cried as they hit the dirt.

King Sombra let go of the magic and fell to the floor, breathing hard.  He crawled away from the hole in the floor and curled up in the corner of the room, closing his eyes to rest and regain strength.

shade looked beside to see the cretures where going faster... "come on midnight, lets pick up the pace." she said, the finish line was approaching, and it was getting intense. shade hart beted as they where about to cross the finish line.

villan watched them... "its going to be close.... i cant look" he said turning away.

Discord looked down on the seat beside him, seeing a lone rock.  It seemed odd, to find one there.  Almost as if it had a purpose.

Wait a moment.

"Oh no!" Midnight said quietly as a couple of the creatures hurried forward, so close to the finish line.  Surely they would beat them.

Suddenly, a rock blasted right into one of the creature's back.  Surprised, he stumbled forward, pulling his younger sister down with him. 

"Ooh!" the crowd cried.

And then Midnight and Shade crossed the finish line.

Discord slipped through the risers, jumping straight down to the grass and nearly breaking his ankle before someone realized he had thrown the rock.  He sat down on the grass below the risers and watched Shade and Midnight, smirking.

Celestia and Luna stared at each other in the dark, not really seeing each other, but knowing each other were there.

"I guess our only hope is Shade, Midnight, Villan and Discord," Celestia whispered, still weak from earlier.

"As usual," Luna said.

"Hello."

Celestia and Luna nearly jumped out of their skin when Chrysalis spoke to them.

shade cut the rope panting, she fell to the ground tired and frustrated with being this creature. "did.... did we win?" she asked...

villan looked up "did they win?" he asked quietly not knowing where discord went

Midnight fell down beside her, breathing heavily.  He looked up.  "Uh..."

Discord's smirk slipped off of his face, seeing another couple of creatures already hopping about past the finish line.  They'd beaten Shade and Midnight without Discord even realizing it.

"Well then..."

"Chrysalis?" Luna said, throwing her hoof out to see where she was and smacking her in the face.  "Sorry!"

"Ungh.  Where did you two come from?" Chrysalis asked.

"Up...up there I suppose," Celestia said.

Shade looked up and saw that other creatures where being carried off by a crowd towards a podium... "Sigh* well... We gave it our best" she said standing back up. She looked at the two cretures that won being presented the crystal hart... Except... Shade took a closer look... The hart wasnt glowing and it was the wrong shade of blue... "That's not our crystal hart..." Shade said...

She ran to the crowd... The prize wasnt the real crystal hart... Shade then felt her shoulder being tapped, she turned around and saw a note hanging on her shoulder. The note said... "If you want the real one... Meet me in the ally to the west of the crystal university" shade backed out of the crowd... She went to the risers. To read it again.

Villan got down from the risers and looked at shade, "so are you going to steal it?" He asked

"That's not our crystal hart." She said.

"What?"

 

Shade shoved the note to villan.

"I have a bad feeling about this... Midnight... Stay with villan... I'm going to go see where this west ally is." She said running off.

Human shade was holding the real crystal hart, she stole it from the grand prize section of the staff only aria... She waited for herself to arive.

Midnight reached out a hand towards her as she ran off.  "B-but..."

Discord walked forward a bit and grabbed onto a lower seat on the risers.  He pulled himself up and crawled back onto them.  Then he climbed back up to Villan and Midnight.

"That isn't a good idea," he said.

Villan blinked... "Well... I have no idea what to do now... What do we All think of shade?" He asked trying to start conversation aquwardly...

Shade made her way to the west ally... She entered and looked around for any of the cretures.

"So... This is an important thing for another world hm?" A voice said.

"Yes... And I need it back to save the world..." Shade said.

"Oh yes... I can understand that... That's why I'm giving it to you."

"What?" Shade questioned...

 

Human shade walked out of the shadows holding the crystal hart.

Shade gasped...

"Here... Just take it... It's all yours."

 

Shade reached out to take the crystal hart. Then human shade quickly grabed shade and wrapped duct tape around her.

"Wow... Your quite weak for being me..." She said...

"You.... You can't do this..."

"And why not? I can now escape this world and have a fresh start... And take over your life... You will have to live my life..."

"But... My world is in danger... And I need to--"

"Shut up... I'm going to your world and there's nothing you can do to stop me."

 

Human shade then ran off to the risers to meet with her new 'friends'

 

 

Shade was left tied up with duct tape and couldn't move... "No NO NO!!!"

Discord simply turned away and put his hands on his hips, looking out at the fair.

Midnight frowned.  "Well...she's my best friend?"

The three stayed silent for a long moment.

"Can anypony make some light?" Chrysalis sighed.  "I may have eaten a few hours ago, but I also eat from the love surrounding me.  There is no love here.  Not enough anyway."

"I cannot," Celestia said.

"I can try," Luna said.

They was a small spark, as if a match being lit, and then there was light.

Human shade saw the three sitting at the risers... She took a deep breath and held the crystal hart up high and started running towards them... "I got it! I got the real crystal hart!" She stared yelling.

 

Villan turned around and saw shade, "you got it!" He cried out...

"Yes! Come on! Lets get out of here, I don't want to be in this world any longer." She said.

Discord and Midnight looked over.

"Where did you get it?!" Midnight beamed, hurrying over, and stumbling. 

Discord came down the risers.  "Fi-nally!"

They breathed a sigh of relief.  Then they glanced around at their prison of dirt and stone.  They sighed in frustration.

Human Shade smiled and did her best to look like... Herself... "It was just in the ally, it had a note on it saying 'you need this more' so I picked it up and hurried back here!" She said starting to walk away towards the bus stop.

Shade was struggling to get out of the duct tape... But in was strong stuff. "As soon as I'm out of this I'm going to kill myself." She said.

"That's weird," Discord said, never expecting somepony to do something without something in return, being himself.  He walked after Shade anyway.

Midnight hurried until he was by her side and then followed her from there.

"Well, any ideas?" Luna asked.

"I heard a sound earlier.  Like a door opening and closing.  It sounded like stone.  It must blend it with the walls.  I don't know where it came from, but its obviously from somewhere in here."

Human shade got to the bus stop and waited for a bus to arrive to take them back to the high school. Human shade was no stranger to the story of what happened at canterlot high... She knew that the portal to the other world was somewhere there.

 

Villan followed shade and looked at the sunset. He looked at his hand and played it it a bit... "I should try and change myself into a dragon when I get back... I find these claws very useful." He said.

Discord snorted.  "I honestly don't know how you ponies can stand those hooves," he said, clenching and unclenching his hands which replaced his paw and talon.  His paw and talon worked similarly with hands.

Luna stood up.  "Well then, I guess we'll have to find out where it came from to get out of here," she said.  She glanced down at Celestia.  "Tia?  Can you stand up?"

Celestia tried to push herself up, but immediately fell back down.  "Not at the moment..." she said quietly.

Chrysalis shook her head.   "You're weak for a pony who raises the sun..." she muttered.

the bus arived and shade got on... she sat down on one of the seats and looked into the crystal hart, it was beautiful how it shimmered. she was definitely looking forward to going to this new world.

 

villan got on as well and sat down behind shade.

shade finally got loose from the duct tape and took it all off... she got out of the ally and started running towards the risers... but they had already left. she then started running towards the bus stop.

Discord and Midnight climbed aboard.  They sat down beside each other.  Midnight looked around at the other creatures on the bus while Discord looked out the window to see if they was anything of interest that he hadn't seen yet.

It surely was a strange world.

Celestia sighed but said nothing.  Luna went towards the wall and began to walk along it.

"Well, she didn't get defeated by the very thing that gives her strength," Luna said to Chrysalis. 

"You're one to talk, Luna.  You had been defeated by the very elements you wielded against Discord.  How did it feel on the other end, Nightmare Moon?" Chrysalis hissed back.

Luna spun towards Chrysalis.  "Be silent!"

"And that.  No pony speaks like that anymore, Luna.  Get with the times, Princess."

"Both of you, be quiet!" Celestia growled.  "It is no time to be arguing like school fillies!"

"Actually, I believe I sounded much better than a school filly," Chrysalis said.

human shade stayed quiet as the bus started towards the high school, she looked at the darkening sky and smiled.

 

villan still sat and was still playing with his hands, they whernt as sharp as dragon claws... but they still amused him.

shade saw the buss leaving the bus stop... she tried running for it was too late... she continued to run for the high school.

Discord raised his eyebrows as he noticed the girl running after the bus and then changing direction and running for something else.  She seemed...familiar.

Shade.

"Hm.  Hey, Shade, look it's you!" Discord called across the aisle with a smirk.  "I wonder where I am..."

"Ssh!" Midnight hushed, glancing around as people gave Discord looks.

human shade looked back and got a glimps of shade running... she didnt care... she just sat back in her seat. "i dont know..." she said... she was going to say more then she noticed that the guy with weird clothing was being hushed by the kid... she just thought it would be better to be quiet.

 

the bus stopped at canterlot high... shade got off of her seat and exited the bus... it was dark out. "well... here we are." she said

Midnight climbed down from the bus and Discord bounced off.

"I haven't slept in days!  Let's go home!" Discord said, marching towards the statue which was also the portal back to Equestria.  "But still, as I said before, i wonder where I am!  I wouldn't have mind meeting him!"

"But then the world might explode!" Midnight said.  "Ooh...that wouldn't be too good.  Mommy would kill me."

Celestia sat up and watched them move along the wall until the got right back to where they started.

human shade blinked... then just dismissed the fact that the world might explode... "well... lets get back home..." she said entering the portal.

 

villan noded and followed shade into the portal.

shade was still quite far from canterlot high.. she didnt know if she was going to make it.
