"The trash?" Discord repeated.  "Now, that was rude of you," he said.  And for a long moment, he just stared at Villan.  Finally though, he let his joke go and nodded, gesturing for Villan to lead on.

Luna looked away immediately, silently cursing herself for doing something so rude.  Midnight frowned and than continued eating his cake.

villan shrugged and walked around to the back of the school where he thought dupsters might be. there where two of them, he looked around and in them but shade wasnt around. "i wonder where she has gotten to." he said

shade finished her cake, "that was good, thanks luna." she said trying to change the mood.

Discord shrugged.  "Maybe she went in," he suggested.

As Luna finished her drink, Shade spoke.  Quickly, she smiled and put down her drink.  "It was my pleasure," she said.

When she realized, this was all she could really say, she hastily continued drinking until her cup was empty.

villan shrugged and walked back to the front of the school. he looked at the school for some time, "i dont think its a good idea to enter the school. the security seems... heavy... especially for a school." he said.

Human shade was walking along the side walk thinking up a plan to get discord out of jail. she couldn't think of a good plan so she kept walking until she passed a cafe. she looked at it and thought that she should eat before she thinks up a big plan. she was about to enter when she saw herself. at first she didnt know what to do, then she decided that she should do the right thing.

shade knew that at this point, she wasnt going to get luna to show love. suddenly, what seemed to be a shadow quickly passed her and went into a room in the back of the cafe. then shade noticed a note was left on her lap. it said 'meet me in the washroom.' shade got up from the seat, "um... if youl excuse me... i gotta... um... do something." she said then left for the room in the back.

she entered and waiting in the room was herself. shade was surprised to see herself. 

"i have a lot to explane... dont i." human shade said.

shade grabed herself by the neck and pushed her against the wall. "you better start talking." she said.

"yes... well... im sorry... i dont know what i was thinking."

"sorry dosnt really cut it when my world is being threatened"

"i know... but... i... i'm sorry, i was lost and confused... you would have done the same thing..."

shade let go of herself and thought for a second, "your right... i would have done the same thing... but that was years ago for me...... how did you get back?"

"your friends opened the portal and now their looking for you."

"so their here... i guess thats my ticket home... as for you, i hope you find the right path like i did. and now, theres a discord in this world waiting for you and a little boy who needs a friend." pony shade said, "but now... how to get out of here, i dont want to leave midnight hanging." she added.

Discord shrugged a shoulder.  "Yeah...they didn't quite like me last time," he grinned mischievously.

Luna and Midnight exchanged a look.  Luna then raised an eyebrow at him.
"Midnight...you have to tell me the truth..."

"I am!" Midnight said.  "I am telling you the truth!  She isn't from here.  You can tell!"  Then he whispered loudly to Luna, as if anyone cared to listen in.  "Have you seen how she walks?"

Luna shook her head at him, almost smiling.  "Midnight.  This is ridiculous.  No one has come through the portal in years."

"So?"

villan didnt know what to do, "maybe we should just wait here until we see her. shes bound to walk by sometime soon." he suggested.

pony shade walked out of the washroom and went back and sat down beside midnight. "i... um... midnight, i gotta go home now... but, il be seeing you sometime soon." she said to midnight. 

 

human shade walked out of the washroom and made herself visible by sitting in a both behind luna.

"If we must," Discord sighed.

"What?!" Midnight cried.  "But you...you..."

"Don't you have class?" Luna asked. 

Midnight looked at Luna and as he did, he noticed the other Shade.  He looked back at the Shade beside him, and for a long moment, looked between the both of them.  He had a faint idea in his mind of what was going on. 

Quickly, he hugged the Shade beside him tightly.  "I'll miss you..."

"She couldn't have just not raised the moon!  What happened to my sister?!"

"I...I don't know, Princes...P-Princess...the shield..."

"Wha---"

At that moment, a wall of shadowy darkness passed over them.  It was much thicker than it had been the many times before.  When, it hit them, they were both affected by it immediately. 

"The shield is useless!" Celestia growled, stepping towards the pony.  "Utterly useless!  How can I be the only pony that can see that it won't last?!  Haven't you ponies got your own brain to think?  Am I the only one?!"

The pony fearfully cowered onto the floor.  "I-I'm so-sorry."

villan sat down on the curve and sighed hoping that shade will turn up soon. he then looked at discord, "how do you see shade?" he asked.

shade pretended to not notice luna with her question and hugged midnight back. "dont worry, a part of me will always be close by." she said about to get up and walk out of the cafe to look for discord.

Discord stood behind Villan, watching the strange transportation pass by.  He glanced down at Villan as he spoke and then went back to watching the transportation.  "How do I see her?" he said.  "She...always tries to do the right thing, however boring it may be at times..."

"But don't you have a..." Luna began.  Then she sighed and let it go.

"Okay," Midnight said quietly.

villan nodded, "indeed. its just that she was confused and lost, there's more to her banishment then what was told... but i dont know what it was. but i guess she just wants to help equestria now." he said.

 shade nodded and walked out of the cafe and out of site, then human shade got up and walked past midnight, "like i said, il be seeing you soon." she said walking out of the cafe and in a different direction then pony shade.

 

with a grin on her face, human shade knew how she was going to break discord out of jail.

 

 

pony shade smiled as she was walking, she was going towards the statue to see if she could find discord and the others. it wasnt a long walk but it took some time for shade to get to the statue. and in the distance, she saw discord and villan. she ran with her arms out towards them. "HEY GUYS!!!" she yelled.

"She didn't know there were others like her.  It isn't very easy, being the only one of your kind yet being so close to being one of them," Discord said, smirking at him and then looking down at his hands, remembering his mismatched ones back in Equestria.

"And then, she also made the stupid decision to help me," he said, grinning darkly at Villan.  "I suppose it worked though."

Midnight watched human Shade leave the café and then beamed at his mother who just sat there, staring at human Shade.

"But...I thought...didn't she just le---"

"I told you."

Discord looked over.  He held out his arms towards her.  "Shade!" he said gleefully.

Celestia raised her hoof high into the air to bring it down onto the cowering pony before her.  "You are all so useless!"
"N-no Princess..."

And in a flash, the shadow finished crossing over them and Celestia fell down in front of the pony, tears in her eyes.  "I'm so sorry.  I'm so, so sorry...I..."

shade ran and jumped to hug discord, "iv missed you so much!" she said hugging discord tightly. 

 

villan nodded and smiled, "good to have you back shade!" he said. 

 

"how did you guys open the portal?" she asked. she couldent wait to be able to return to equestria so she could fly and use magic and mainly become a pony again.

Discord hugged Shade back.  He then grinned a bit nervously at her.  "Well...I got to open it with my magic but I also sort of moved it in the process."

King Sombra laughed.  "Do I hear a challenge?" he smiled, turning to Chrysalis and stalking towards her.

"Hey!"

Sombra turned to Midnight, looking almost bored with constantly being interrupted.

"I'm not like her," Midnight said, glaring.  "I don't need to feed off of the love of others to be stronger.  I have plenty of love in myself!"

And then he changed his form.

"moved?" shade asked... "well, thats not much of a problem, we just need to go through the new portal... right?" she asked.

 

"slight problem..." villan stepped in. "we dont know where the portals exact location is, because when we went through it... we kind of ended up in the ocean.

 

"oh... the ocean?... well... um... thats a problem... ha...ha..." shade said with a nervous tone. "well... iv been trying to open the portal from here with my element of chaos... but i havent had any luck with it." she added.

"Eh..." Discord moaned.  "This world doesn't seem to appreciate magic, much less accommodate it.  We may just have to find the portal.  I don't think it will close for a while."

"Am I supposed to be scared?" King Sombra asked, staring at the mirror image of himself, Midnight.

"No," Midnight said.  "You're supposed to be distracted."

"W-what?" Sombra stuttered, spinning around towards Chrysalis just as he got hit by a beam of magic and thrown against the wall.

shade had a quick chill in the back of her spine, "well... ok... if we half to..." she said.

 

villan thought for a moment and walked towards the statue that was originally the portal. he tapped his hand on it, and there where small waves that rippled from it. "i dont think thats necessary." he said. "shade... if you can fit your element through the portal, you maybe able to open it from here." he said.

 

shade sprang towards the portal, "thats a much better idea! much better than swimming around trying to find the other portal." she said. she then tried to shove her element of chaos through the portal, it took a bit of time but it opened somehow. "wow... it opened! seems like it picked up some power! from us being together." she said cheerfully. "well then, we should get back to equestria now!" she added.

 

villan nodded and smiled, *sometimes, love can come from somepony you least expect.* he thought.

Discord grinned.  "Finally!"

He hated not having power.

King Sombra grunted as Midnight changed his form back to normal.  He looked up with an angry glare towards the two changelings, both of which were not afraid or full of hate.

He wouldn't gain anything from them.

Slowly, he began to sink into the ground.

"Oh no you don't!  Coward!" Chrysalis growled.

shade stepped through the portal, villan looked at the world behind him and wondered where he was, as in the this worlds version of him. he had a good guess about where he was but dismissed it as he just wanted to get back to equestria. he stepped through the portal waiting to save the day.

 

shade was finally back in her pony body and was glad to have all her powers back! but she was a bit drowsy getting use to being a pony again.

Chrysalis spun towards Shade and Villan, as well as Discord who stepped through the portal. 

"Don't get distracted!" Midnight yelled, barely noticing.  He jumped forward, almost too easily slipping back in Discord's form in his panic.  He used his new claws to grab Sombra and pull him back out of the ground.

"Wow," Discord said, slightly uneasily as he watched another Discord pull an angry king from the floor.

shade was so happy to be back in the world where she was suppost to be... but right away she knew that it wasnt the time to throw a party. "what happened here?" she asked.

 

"i think sombra was attacking when we left to look for you." villan said. 

 

"where's celestia?" shade asked

"Your precious princess abandoned us to go hide in Canterlot," Chrysalis hissed.  "As usual..."

Midnight looked at Discord who was staring at him.  Midnight paused and then held Sombra out to Discord.  "Help."

"Um..." Discord said.  He sighed and outstretched his arms to take the infuriated king.

what chrysalis said, shade knew that what she ment by that was that celestia went to protect canterlot. "well... ok... so... what about... um..." shade was tired and she really just wanted to sleep because she couldent think strait.

 

"ok shade, now that your back, it time to dispose this darkness..." villan said,

 

"oh,,, right... um..." shade said but she didnt know how to do that.

"Could we hurry this up.  This is like holding a cat that doesn't want to be he-ow!" Discord cried as Sombra bit his arm.   "What the---?"

"Remove me this instant you mismatched freak!" Sombra growled.

"Double ow..."

Chrysalis was staring at Shade suspiciously while Midnight changed to his normal form and tiredly flopped to the floor, tears flowing from his eyes again as he wondered where his mother could be.

shade got by midnights side and huged him. it had been some time since she had last seen the pony midnight, "midnight" she said hugging him

 

villan begun charging his horn so he will be able to attack if he had to do so, things where really getting chaotic.

"N-no?  Okay, fine...I'll just hold the mean cat," Discord sighed as King Sombra continued throwing insults at him and trying to turn back to his shadow form.  Discord prevented this with his own magic.

Midnight hugged Shade back.  "He took my mom..." he said quietly.  "I don't know where she is..."
