Sorrow and Harmony looking to bring a dream to life

Hi everyone,

 

I'm in the process of writing a screenplay and beginning the animation of a full episode of Friendship is Magic, and fulfilling a dream I've been chasing for 15 years (becoming a true animator),when it's done I would like to pitch the story and finished animatic to Hasbro studios (see what happens XD)

 

I'm trying to start the animation process and was wondering if anyone had some music they would let me use for the animation sound board.

 

All tracks will be given full credit and may be on TV someday, at least up on youtube lol.

 

I will not tell to much about the story here simply I don't want to ruin the story for ya, but here is a short outline:

 

Sorrow and Harmony (Working Title)

 

An accedent causes a father to save his son, his father is lost and his young son must learn to let go of his old life, start a new and learn the meaning of friendship. Through his trial Rainbow Dash will discover a side of herself she never knew was there, and by the healing of a heart, she will move closer to her dreams than ever before.

 

Who is this little colt, who was the courageous father that gave his life to save his son, and how would Equestria forever change as a result?

 

Hero's fall but are never forgotten.

 

This is based in part on a true story, the loss of my own father a short time ago and dedicated to all those that have lose a close family member.

For music I'm looking for songs about sadness, dreams, fulfilling a dream, loss of a loved one, family, being alone, mostly inspirational related songs (instrumentals would be awesome as well)

 

Would also love to talk with some pony's about the story, tune it to the communities ideas and wishes. I will only talk about the full story to those wishing to help out, don't want to post here and spoil it XD.

Sounds a bit far fetched for ponies.

I have been thinking about making the event less far fetched then a comet, am working on some other ideas for this part, it really has no impact of the story if its a comet or he die's saving him from say a preditor or something. Just thought it was a different approch but ya I'm having a hard time explaining how a comet only really effects 2 pony's. But ya the rest of the story really has nothing to do with the comet only the very beginning. Thank you for confirming my suspisions, I will just rework the beginning

Strong Hooves- thank you so much for posting these, my favs by far has to be Racing Against the Sunset and

 

Beautiful History, history is pretty much how I visioned Rainbow dash and Blazes relationship and I do see them when I hear the song, need to see if I can make a pony version for the episode.

Sound like a cool project xD. If I may recommend one thing from working in live production myself, assemble a team to help you out with different aspects of the project. Things seem to flow a lot better when you have a number of people working towards the goal and it will help make the whole concept seem less farfetched. Anyway good luck dude!
