Hawk Moth 390 April 28, 2013 Share April 28, 2013 Can the minimum time needed to post in the General Chat Thread be removed? Because it's a spam thread and very based in simple conversations, a lot of replies are brief and short. I'm not sure how long one must wait before posting, but at times, waiting any amount can get bothersome. There's already no minimum character limit, so why is there a time limit? Jokuc 8,173 April 28, 2013 Share April 28, 2013 No, the general chat thread was made because we removed the forums chat. The forum chat was removed because well.. People spammed, it wasn't needed and it required extra staff work. By donig this it would basically be the same as making a new chat..
Zoop 8,384 April 28, 2013 Share April 28, 2013 I think calling the GCT a 'spam thread' is a disservice to it. While it is a rapid thread that bounces around quite a bit, it's not just a spam thread. If it were I wouldn't have close to 500 posts in it. That said, the post timer is a global setting and not something that can be adjusted individually per board. Even if it were, I personally would see no need for it to be adjusted in this case.
