((Sorry, I had just gotten home from a prom after party and was super hung over when I made the post in the other RP, I'd forgotten what RP's I was even participating in. Sorry for making you wait ))

 

Accepting the brohoof, Windy looked quizzically at Quick. Windy had never been a fan of video games; despite his friend Fondue's constant efforts to rope him in, Windy had always resisted. He wasn't sure why, but when he wasn't training for soccer, he would rather be using his downtime to be laying around either doing nothing, or drinking some cheap cider with friends, not trying to keep up with the fast paced action of video games. However, now his interest had piqued, since he knew the house had a game room, and this smallish green unicorn probably be wanting a partner for the night. For gaming, that is. Chuckling lightly, Windy thought to himself, "Well, she's a bit on the short side, but I always did like short gals... I guess I could give it a try..."

 

A small smile crept onto Windy's face as he said, "Well, if you're a gaming nut, maybe you could teach a noobie how to play? I never had much of a head for video games, I was always much better playing games on the soccer pitch, you know? I hear they have a game room in the house, wanna check it out?"

(OOC: well. Hangovers are more important anyway so whatever.)

The moment windy asked to play a game Quick began to hop in exitment. "Ooo I wanna burst into song right now! What game should I show? That's the question. Perhaps an rpg! Those are great! Especially considering you can decide how you play! Or perhaps a little more exploration, calm and simple! No no, too calm..." She continued to ramble on about what types of games they could play.

Equinox overheard about games and turned around. "What about fighting games" Equinox suggested as he walked up to Quick. "So sorry for interrupting my name is Equinox what's your name" Equinox introduced himself as he looked down at the small mare

Standoff figured he was fashionably late, but also knew that ridiculously late was closer to the truth. Wasn't his fault he'd fudged the dates...

 

Standoff opened the door quietly and started for the food table, checking that nopony was paying attention to him.

Quick turned around. "Oh well I was going to take this pony here,what was it windeh? Winday? Windoow? Windoow what kinda name is that? Windy right? Yeah yeah windy that's it. Anyway, I was gunna try and "Interest" this pony to play video games." She extended her hoof. "The name's quick timer."

"Quick Timer huh....nice to meet you" Equinox said as he shook hoofs with Quick Timer. "Anyways first game a noon should start with is a fighting game or a hack n slash game" Equinox said as he used his magic to make his 3DS appear. "A easy hack n slash game would be Equesirian Hearts its simple and easy and fighting games are good and vary on how the commands are" Equinox said as he made his 3DS disappear.

"No no no." Quick said. "You don't throw a beginner right in. Give them something more simple, a mix of story and gameplay. Something to show just how emmersive a game can be. If you hand them a fighting game most of the time they could be filled with combos and upgrades and stuff. Now what's a good game..."

"Sheesh, I feel so out of place, these two just are so much more in the know on these video games... Whats an RPG? C'mon brain, where have I heard that before! AH! I remember, Fondue always complains about ponies using those things in Call of Duty: Pony Ops! He says they're cheap! Now that I know what they're talking about, I can contribute!"

 

"Oh, so you guys want to play Pony Ops? I heard that is such a fun game!" Windy said, hoping he sounded enthusiastic and knowledgeable.

"Hmmm. A fps? Those games aren't exactly good games for beginners if we go into a multiplayer standpoint. I would generally say things like Final fantasy and Skyrim are better choises in my opinion but... I dunno."

"aww fable games are great! I love the second the mpst that one was just awsone!" Quick pointed out.(OOC: I should start playing that again :/ ) She thought about the idea of a co-op. "Yeah we can do that! Is there such a thing as three-player co-op? Cause then we could all play the same game."

Quick shook her head. "No i've never heard of that game before. I also never checked to see if it was any good. So is it? Cause I'm not playing on a "sega saturn" or whatever the hell those old things were." She remarked as theu continued up to the game room.

Equinox made the sega saturn game disappear. "Eternal Sonata is a good game its turn based Real-time fighting and it is good though it gets difficult at a certain point" Equinox explained as he remembered playing this game and got stuck on one annoying boss battle.

"Eh it won't be hard at all! Gaming ain't my talent so I can suck at it after all!" Quick exclaimed in a boasting fashion. "But still I'm getting bored now. Let's hurry up and get there so we can play!" She said eagerly as she made her way up the stairs and to the room.

After his feeble attempt at participating in the conversation had failed miserably, Windy had settled into an uncomfortable silence as the two gamer geeks enthused and gushed about games he had never heard of, and, quite frankly, didn't want to play. He had figured feigning an interest in games would be enough to score with Quick, but this was just ridiculous! As the two left, he turned away from them and shook his head; perhaps now he could find a mare with interests he could relate to.

 

((Sorry guys, but Windy simply isn't a gamer, so it would be out of character for him to want to go play too))

"Hey, I wasn't called wuick timer to suck at Quick time events! They're my second favourite bit of a game, especially when I'm mad" Quick timer said in an annoyed tone. "Your'e just afraid to break a keyboard or two ain't ya?!" She slumped to the ground there and then, still annoyed at equinox.

Standoff watched the two bickering ponies, and then walked over. "Quick-time events are what a game has in place of content, most of the time. If you want to play a game with good quick-times, play Just Cause 2. Catch." He tossed a game case to Equinox and walked off.

"She's gonna get mad at me...for not liking QTEs...that's just...ridiculous" Equinox said to himself

Quick timer watched as somepony threw equinox a game and how equinox then walked off anyway. "Oh so you ain't even gonna thank him now? Yeah real considerate pal!" She yelled in equinox's direction before simply thanking the other pony and pulling out her 3DS.

"Equinox sat on the couch in the game room and thought of playing Heavy Rain a game that is pretty much a QTE its self. "This game at least is fun cause it uses QTEs correctly in a sense" Equinox said as he started the game

Quick slotted in Okamiden and turned her 3DS on.

*You know you overeacted there* She thought to herself.

"Shut up" She replied aloud as she held the device.

*you need to learn to controll your anger...*

*And not cause as much damage.*

"I said shut up!" She began to hold the 3DS tighter.

*Because at some point, all that anger and rage will stockpile and somethong bad will happen...*

"Shut up..."

*And then somepony will get hurt...*

"Shut up...

*And then what will your mom...*

"Shut up!" She screamed a final time as she threw her 3Ds to the ground and continued to kick it up a wall untill it broke. When she looked down at the mess she simply toom out the cartridge and stormed her way into the game room.

After about a few minutes of the game Equinox switched it out and played Fable 3 which he also made appear with magic. "Time and time again I play this...though I always play on the good side...maybe I should go evil and kill everything..." Equinox said as he started playing.
