SilverTurtle 19 May 6, 2013 Share May 6, 2013 My 4 year old son loves MLP and so do I. After buying some of the little blind bag ponies we wanted to make someplace to create our own stories and play in. I couldn't find any real toys being sold like that so we built our own pony house with three different levels representing different types of locations. The 3rd level (top) represents the castle in Canterlot, the 2nd level (middle) is in the middle of Ponyville and is inspired by the bakery. The 1st level (bottom) represents the places farther outside Ponyville especially inspired by Fluttershy's home. That level needs window shutters on the inside but not sure what color. I also want the top level to look more regal besides the purple walkway (barely seen on the photo) and the tiny heart chandelier. Any ideas? All suggestions welcome.
Love*Potion 575 May 6, 2013 Share May 6, 2013 Oh my goodness... you built this!? Congratulations and I hope you both enjoy it - it looks absolutely incredible! The exterior is stunning and very show-accurate, while the interior is still plain. That's fine, cuz it gives you room to add more detail! (or just provides room to play ) Anyways I guess I could suggest the shutters for the 2nd floor to be a dark pink? Like a magenta color? That way it would compliment the wall color without being too match-matchy. Or you can never go wrong with brown (wood). It goes with everything! Good luck to you and have fun! Lady Leopardess 393 May 11, 2013 Share May 11, 2013 How about some gold paint designs along the walls? Or a tiny painting or like Celestia or somepony? It looks really great ! I wish I had space to make something cool like this!

Thanks for the suggestion. I just watched the griffon episode and noticed decals above the doorway. Same color as you described, spot on. I also build a tiny round table and a bookshelf. With the kids at home it takes me a while to get around to finishing things. I'll post the new details when I get them done though! How about some gold paint designs along the walls? Also, your comment made me think of the stained glass windows. I'll have to find some clear plastic to cut up and some watered down paint. Thanks for the ideas! Whoa. That is awesome bro. Oh, the agony! *Jumps on sofa* I can send you plans, all you need is a scroll saw and some wood and paint. I guess it's not so common to have a scroll saw sitting around the house. Thanks for the compliment though, it makes me feel accomplished
