And no, you didn't overdo the burn tool, it's spot-on in fact. Enough of it to get rid of any colour monotony/solidity but at a subtle enough level. In general it's just a really cute picture. Poor thing doesn't know where the hell those ears came from

I'll blame Minecraft for this one xD

Basically, only barely do I have to look at a reference to get a certain part of the body right.

As for how I come up with these? Well, sometimes i'll take a mental photo of an image in my head that comes to my liking and draw it on paper. ^-^
