Minath awoke to Rambler's eyes trained on her formally sleeping face. At first his habit of doing this creeped her out, but she had grown to find it endearing.

 

"Mornin' sunshine" Minath said drowsily, and kissed Rambler on the nose. She imagined how she looked and was surprised Rambler was used to her morning look.

Rambler smiled and gave her a peck on the cheek. "Good morning, beautiful." He lay there for a while, running his hoof through her mane lovingly. He knew that they had to get up and prepare for the games eventually, but he had long since decided that he would milk every day he had with Minath for all it was worth.

Minath snuggled close to Rambler for a few moments before regretfully getting up and sitting on the edge of the bed and stretching, popping her wing joints and her neck. She leaned over and gave Rambler a quick peck before heading to the bathroom to get ready for the day. When she was done she walked to her armor strewn out on the floor and levitated it onto her various body parts.

 

"Rambler? Can you get the strap on the back of my neck again?" Minath said.

Rambler slowly got up, yawning and stretching as he did. "Of course. You know, I can't help but think, where would you be without me to get the strap for you? I mean, what would you do if I said no? I really have a lot of power here, don't I?" He chuckled and fastened the strap, giving her a playful nuzzle when he was done.

Minath chuckled and nuzzled Rambler back.

 

"Well, I would have to make a friend so that they could out the fasten the strap." Minath said jokingly. "Or I could try to twist my arms until I get lucky enough to get the strap like I used to. I was told it looked very funny."

Rambler laughed. "Well, I guess you're lucky I'm here to be your slave then. Making friends is for chumps. Chumps, and ponies who aren't dating someone as awesome as me. So, are you ready for another day at the games? It ought to be pretty intense. We have to defend our first place position, after all."

Minath laughed.

 

"Well, if you're my slave, then I get to do whatever I want with you." She said, and started a trail of kisses up Rambler's neck. She finished with a peck on Rambler's lips.

 

"And of course I'm ready for today. It's going to be fun. I just hope I get to do something."

Rambler grinned and bowed until his nose was against the ground. "Yes, m'lady, whatever you want. And there's nothing I, your humble slave, can do about it." He got up and wrapped his foreleg around her shoulder. "Anyway, shall we be off, then? The others are probably waiting for us downstairs.

It was at about this time that Flint slowly woke up, wondering where his splitting headache came from. Then he remembered he had passed out in the inn's tavern after drinking all night.

"Stop it, you." Minath said, and headed out the door and headed into the lounge.

Iron woke up in her bed, not quiet remembering when exactly she fell asleep. She hastily got dressed and combed her mane, and headed to the lounge and plopped down in a random chair.

Rambler laughed and followed her down to the lounge, sitting down at a random empty table and waiting for the others to gather. They needed to make sure everyone was ready, and make substitutions if necessary. Of course, they only had one substitute between both teams, so they mostly just had to hope nothing bad happened.

Flint noticed Iron walking into the lounge, and tried to ignore her. She wasn't with him anymore, and he had no reason to pay any more attention to her than he would to anyone else in the guild.

Minath looked around, trying to see if everypony was in the lounge yet. It didn't seem so, so there was nothing to do but wait.

Iron saw Flint walking into the lounge, and held back a smirk.

Sole yawned as he arrived downstairs to find rambler, iron, flint and minath already waiting. "Mornin'." He said noncholantly, before grabbing a cup of coffee off of a table and downing it quickly "so... when do we go to the games today? Or are we ready to leave?" He asked, as he stretched, doing his best to avoid looking at iron.

Regal was sipping on some tea. Nothing held his interest at the moment. He did notice that most of his guild was downstairs.

Taking another sip of his tea he looked around

"So are what now? I mean I don't mind sitting around, but it seems like most of the other ponies seem ready for a fight"

Rambler looked at the guild members gathered in the lounge. "Alright everyone, first and foremost, I'd like to congratulate both teams on an excellent first day. But more importantly, we need to sort some things out before we head to the arena for today's games. Well, really just one thing." He looked over at Flint, who was very obviously hung over. "Flint is in no position to participate today, clearly. I'll be having a talk with him later about his responsibilities to his team. But for now, we need somebody to substitute. Is Snow still around?"

"Snow?" As far as Regal knew he didn't have a pony in his book known as Snow. Could he mean Forest?

"I'm sorry but I don't believe we have a Snow on our team, Could you mean Forest by any chance?" Just to be sure Regal began to check through his little black book in case he missed somepony by the name of Snow.

((Sorry about that. I swear I went back like twenty pages and the only name I could find was Snow. Hell if I know where it came from.)) 

 

Rambler facehoofed. "I can't believe I just did it again. What is it with me and messing names up lately? Anyway, you're right, I meant Forest."

"Yeah I don't blame you" Regal said closing his book. "Forest has been gone for a while. It won't surprise me if he was dead by now" Regal said shrugging and began to finish off his tea.

Forest worked his way from the streets of the city and made into the inn. He didn't open the door, He was in mouse form and quietly made his way pasted the tables to his room. Next thing that Forest knew was that he was trapped in a glass cup that some pony placed over him.

"I found the rat" Regal said as he held forest under the glass cup.

"I am a mouse" Forest said annoyed.

"yeah ask me if I care. You've been careless, time for you to make up for it"

Diamond sat down and quietly listened to Rambler. She had fought yesterday so other ponies would need to get a chance to fight as well.
Fire on the other hoof quickly got to her hooves and eagerly moved closer to the group to hear what Rambler had to say, excited for today.
