Agent Midnight shook off the thought as Brown Scrolls was reading an article about the Crystal Empire.  Why do I always judge ponies, especially stallions, the first time we meet?!?  She got up and walked over by the two to see what they're up to.  "What are you guys up too?  Reading an article?" She asked the two.

"Oh it's just an old article about the origins of the Crystal Heart and how it affected the lives of the Crystal Ponies." Brown Scrolls said. "We could get some good stuff from there." Agent Thunder said as he peered in to look at the article. He then read through it and remembered that the light from the Crystal Ponies themselves, was indeed absorbed in the Crystal Heart. "Hey! I just thought of something! The Crystal Heart contains the light that the Crystal Ponies emit from their bodies which is all positive energy! Because the Crystal Heart is so powerful, it can't just be sold for bits. Maybe, just maybe this mysterious group is gonna drain the heart of it's positive light energy and fill it with negative energy, which would make it incapable of producing positive light energy! It would take The Elements of Harmony to restore it back to light. Well? Doesn't it seem like that would be the case?" Agent Thunder asked the others.

Agent Midnight thought about it.  "Yes.  It could very well be the case.  If it is, we have to come up with a plan fast to get into the headquarters before it's too late" She said, starting to pace back and forth.  She itched behind her left ear and accidentally hit the button on her glasses.  It covered her left eye and she saw the heat waves off of Agent Thunder and Brown Scrolls.  "Oops!" She said hitting the button and retracting the glasses.

"What the hay was that?" Agent Thunder asked looking up at Agent Midnight. He wasn't mad at her. Brown Scrolls then went into his bag and dug out another article and started to read it. "Sure hope we could get in those headquarters. At least Agent Moon turned off those magic sensors, but hopefully the gang didn't discover it and put them back online.

"Oops!  Sorry!  It's my monocle.  It can see through walls and can see heat waves off of ponies and other objects.  Since our body temperature is 101 degrees (OOC: horse fact), we would be red.  We can probably see the Crystal Heart with it since it gives off a lot of heat when used" Agent Midnight explained to the two.

"Well that's cool." Agent Thunder said as he continued to read the article with Brown Scrolls. Time was passing and the Crystal Empire had gone without the Crystal Heart for five straight days now. Agent Thunder went on his communicator and checked Cadence's vital signs. "Cadence is holding strong, but that's not guaranteed for the remaining days we'll be here." Agent Thunder said to the others.

Agent Midnight thought of a plan. Hmmm.... Maybe one or two of us should go in invisible and investigate.  Midnight started padding back and forth, trying to think of something.  She turned to Brown Scrolls.  "Do you know, by any chance of how many of the enemy there is?" She asked, trying to get an estimate of how many ponies they will have to go through.

Brown Scrolls thought for a moment. "I honestly don't know the exact number of these ponies we'll have to go through. All I know is that there's a leader involved in this and he needs to be taken down. It's going to be hard, for the leader may be a unicorn who uses hypnotic spells to put ponies under his control." Brown Scrolls stated.

Midnight Glow took in what Brown Scrolls said. She kept padding back and forth, trying to think of a plan. "I know this might be a little reckless, but what if three of us go get the Crystal Heart, and the other two find the leader?" Midnight asked the five stallions.

Agent Epic flew up to her fellow agents and landed right next to Agent Thunder. "I heard what happened with the Crystal Heart," she said. "I'm just surprised Princess Cadance didn't write to me personally. After all, I am her personal apprentice. So, how can I help you guys?"

 

(OOC~ Epic Rainbow is an apprentice to Princess Cadance because love is Epic's talent as well as Cadance.)

Agent Thunder was drinking some water. However, when he heard that Agent Epic was Cadence's apprentice, he pulled off a spit take almost spitting the water right in Agent Epic's face. "What?!" He said surprised. He then turned and saw Agent Epic. "Oh, I am so  sorry. It's just that when you mentioned that you were Cadence's apprentice, that had me shocked." Agent Thunder stated.

 

Meanwhile Brown Scrolls was finishing up the article.

Epic jumped back a bit when Agent Thunder spit out his water. "Yes, I'm Cadance's apprentice," she said. "Didn't I tell you, like, last month? Oh, well, now you know. Anyway, how can I help you guys solve the mystery of the Crystal Heart?"

"Well, we're thinking of a way to get in to the base. We've got a changeling in the group so, that would make things easier. Earlier, before you came, Agent Moon, the changeling, disabled the magic sensors, yeah, the base had special sensors that sensed foreign magic." Agent Thunder explained.

Agent Midnight noticed that a pegasus just joined.  She looked at the pegasus oddly.  "Where the hay did you come from?" She said, then realized that it may have sounded rude.  "Oh sorry, I'm Agent Midnight Glow.  Anyways, We don't know if the bandits figured the magic sensors are off yet" She explained.  If they did realize it, they would have more security.  She turned to Agent Thunder.  "Any plans yet of getting the heart?" the unicorn asked.

Echo looked up at the sound of the new arrival. Instead of trying to "see" her, he aimlessly looked in the general vicinity of her voice. "I'm Agent Echo Sight. A pleasure." Echo had been thinking about things. He had been thinking about the plans. Brown Scrolls. The Crystal Heart. The possible uses. There was a lot on his mind, and he was usually quiet anyway, so it wasn't unusual.

Agent Epic looked at the stallion looking in her direction, but not directly at her. "I'm Agent Epic Rainbow," she said. She then turned to the unicorn mare. "Nice to meet you, Agent Midnight. So, who is this 'Brown Scrolls' you've been talking about?"

Echo sighed and twitched his ears, then nodded in the direction of the pony. "This gentlecolt here. He's been giving us some info about the organization that took the Crystal Heart. I presume he's brown colored because of his name but I can't be sure. If you don't mind me asking, what advantages can you offer to us? I don't mean to sound rude, just curious. I'm also in no place to question, so if you don't feel like answering to me then I understand."

(OOC: Brown Scrolls is an undercover agent for a newspaper.  He knows pretty much everything that is going on in Saddle Arabia)

 

Agent Midnight took the question in.  "Brown Scrolls is part of a newspaper place here in Saddle Arabia.  He is really an agent, but for Saddle Arabia, not ESPA.  He knows pretty much everything that is happening here in Saddle Arabia.  Brown Scrolls is going to help us get the Crystal Heart" she explained to Agent Epic.

"That is correct. Even before you guys arrived here, I was studying on how to retrive the Crystal Heart from the evil group. Saddle Arabia's technology is not advanced as in the large cities such as Manehatten and Detrot (OOC: Ponified version of Detroit)." Brown Scrolls explained.

Agent Epic thought of something. "I have an idea of how we can track down the Crystal Heart," she said. "The Crystal Heart gives off an exceptional amount of warmth. If we feel the warmth coming from a certain direction, we follow the feeling of warmth in that direction until we get to the place its being kept or hidden. It also might be still in the Crystal Empire, just disguised as a regular crystal."

"Negative. The energy the Crystal Heart gives is actually light. This is what defeated King Sombra. Crystal ponies have what is known as "light magic", which is the ability to give off large amounts of light when necessary. The Crystal Heart is stored in the evil group's headquarters, which is not to far from here." Agent Thunder explained.

"Actually," Agent Epic stated. "When near the Crystal Heart you get an exceptional feelng of warmth inside. That's what I meant when I said it gives off warmth. Also, you don't have to be a Crytal Pony to power it. You just have to have a good heart and a good soul. So, we can track it down when in their HQ by the warmth we feel. It's as simple as that."

"Problem is, the group may be using it's energy. We still don't know what for. The only way to find out, is to spy on the head of the group. This would be a perfect time for Agent Moon." Agent Thunder said. "He's a changeling, which makes this mission much easier in case we need to spy, like right now." Agent Thunder explained.

Echo's ears perked up. "I think I might be able to assist Agent Moon. We have invisibility things do we not? I could use one of those, and use my hearing and echolocation to be a lookout. And if worst comes to worst, I can use these." Echo nudged the smoke bombs around his neck.

Agent Epic thought for a moment. She then responded, "Maybe I could go too. I could use flattery on the guards and if that doesn't work, I could use my rainbow confusion gas bombs on them. It'll make them temporarily confused and they'll be oblivious. Then, I could just pass them. Easy."
