So, this topic has probably been discussed to death, and then some, but I haven't yet run into any threads, so I decided to open one up.

So, (almost) everyone has a favourite actor.
My pick for #1 actor is without a doubt Benedict Cumberbatch.
He is unbelievably good in every role he does, and is a textbook example of an actor doing what actors do, and doing it right; becoming the character, instead of playing a part.
I don't think I even have to talk about his awesome voice. Like, goddamn, man!
I'd talk to myself all day if I were him.
My only problem is with his fangirls, "Cumberbitches", who give him some bad rap in people's eyes.

Now, with that out of the way, who's your favourite?

I think Maggie Smith is really amazing!

I find her very interesting and she is very good at what she does.

Her strictness brings the humor into it.

Her in the role of Professor McGonagall was amazing!

 

I also love Oliver Phelps because we are going to get married someday.

 

I also love Tessa Netting (or Tessaroxx on YouTube.)

I think she is extremely funny, and she is totally my role model.

I would probably have to pick Tom Cruise because, of his 

• amazing but, scary stunts
• how he looks for his age
• he always has a wonderful role in a movie, no matter what it is
• always has great emotions and acts very well

My favorite movie he has acted in would probably be Rock of Ages there are others as well but, that

would be the one I would go with . His character was Stacey Jaxx, one of the lead roles in the movie.

 

I would also go with Rebel Wilson because

• always is a funny character
• brings the humor into the movie
• usually finds someway to make you pee your pants
• always a great actor

My favorite movie that she is in is Pitch Perfect.

Her character was Fat Amy (a.k.a Fat Patrica), was one of the lead roles in the movie.

There are loads of actors I want to mention based on single-film performances, but I can't do that. I think the one actor that has persistently done an absolutely amazing acting job in every film he's been in, and is definitely my favourite, is Jesse Eisenberg.

 

First knew of the guy when I watched Zombieland. He had the role of an awkward college student in a zombie apocalypse, and he did that role exceptionally. He fit into the part so comfortably that if I met him in real life I would've expected him to be his persona in the film. I didn't realise the extent of his talent until I later watched The Social Network, the film that brought him to more fame; where he plays the witty and incredibly smart Mark Zuckerberg. He did an outstandingly good acting job in that, it was unreal. His sharp tongue, timing, his tone of hybrid business and sarcasm, body language, speech tics (first scene of the film - he's so into his character, I loved watching it) and the fact that while he's portraying an eternally serious character, he can give that character expressions. I've not seen an acting job like it. Props to him.

 

He was also in Rio, voicing Blu; and more recently in Now You See Me. Both films he lived up to his amazing acting. It's only right that he's been nominated for so many different things. I've seen about six films where Jesse Eisenberg's been cast in, and I've never been disappointed. Superb actor.
