Evening opened her eyes slowly, her pupils glazing around the room sleepily until they found the Crimson stallion, her face formed a smile towards the stallion. Her eyes automatically fell on the sunlight coming from the window, which luckily wasn't in her face.

 

She got her gaze back to the stallion commanding her to awaken "I'm awake.." she muttered (No fancy colouring on iPod :/), still smiling. She gave him a soft kiss on the nose and when done she drew her face back only a smudge, so she was close to his. She had a good nights rest, even if she probably hadn't been asleep for that long. Her gaze averted yet again to outside of the window - the stunning Neighfful Tower was in the view from their window, it absolutely drew the mares breath away, finally, she was seeing it in real life, with her own eyes.

(OOC: I'm planning to do an in-city tour of Mareis for this part of the honeymoon. Let us have a mishap. I'll let you come up with that mishap  ) 

 

Sterling noticed the fatigue in Evening's eyes as she awoke from her sleep. Nonetheless, an in-city tour was all set for Mareis, and one of the sights they would see was the glorious Neighffel Tower standing tall in the distance. Sterling was excited about the tour, and he whispered excitedly to Evening, "Evie, today, we're going on an in-city tour of Mareis, and we'll be seeing the Neighffel Tower! After the tour, we can see the sights again if you want!" Sterling then pecked lovingly into Evening's nose as a response to her peck on his nose.

Evening giggle, his ethusiasium excited her greatly. Her soft, fragile yet loving heart was pounding with ancipation, she was still topped with excitement over their honeymoon location, sure the 'events' hadn't been very good so far, but they could get better. Right?

The Mare stood up from her sleeping place, as she stood she stretched her back and legs. With a sigh of relief, she walked over in the directions of her bag "Well, lets get ready for the day then, shall we?" she said over her shoulder while walking to her bag. As on getting there, she opened in wide and started rummaging around in..

As Evening worked on supplying herself with the essentials for the day's tour, Sterling approached his bag and packed some water and some chocolate bars in case the couple got hungry during the tour. Everything was planned out perfectly for this day and Sterling was excited. The Neighfell Tower, the local restaurants, and the Hoovre. They would visit all of that today. Plus, Sterling was hoping that the tour guide was very knowledgeable about Mareis' history, especially since they would be traversing through the old city. 

 

After he finished packing the basic necessities, Sterling took out his camera from his carry on bag and showed it to Evening. "Evie. I'm so glad I brought my new camera with me. It's a Neighkon of the highest quality! It's supposed to take the best pictures anypony can ever take! Oh I can't wait to take pictures of you beautifully posing in front of the many landmarks in Mareis!" Sterling then giggled happily at the thought of Evening posing like a model in Mareis...

Evening had turn around as he started to speak, she grinned at him as he giggled, his excitement was quickly rubbing off on her. She had put on a custom saddlebag she had gotten in Ponyville, it was dark green with her cutie mark symbol on the latch; she had put small things including a map, water and money in her saddlebag for the day ahead. She couldn't wait to tour around the old, beautiful city of love with him, after getting married and having a great adventure with their friends, they finally could be doing something they'd love and spend time together...

As Sterling finished packing his things, he noticed that Evening too was done now. He checked the hotel watch, noticing that they were almost late for the their tour! Sterling panicked slightly as he began to run out of the hotel room. He waved for Evening to come along swiftly as he continued to run. "Evie! We're almost late for our tour! The bus will be coming round to the hotel entrance any moment! Come on!" Even in the midst of this panic, Sterling was still deeply excited to be touring Mareis today. An overview look the tour brochure said. It promised that after their tour was done, the tourists could explore Mareis to their heart's content, knowing that they knew all about Mareis' history...

Evening gasped quietly and ran behind Sterling, hoping they wouldn't, or hadn't, missed their bus. The nose of their hooves thumping against the stairs as they moved along swiftly, she could tell both of their heart were set on getting on that bus on time, neither of them would bear it it they had missed it.

 

Soon enough, they had ducked into the lobby, Evening quickly went up to the receptionst to ask if they had missed their bus, she shook her head slowly and Evening nodded at her, she and Sterling rushed out the door. She stopped at the outside, they looked at the ground and puffed, she soon stopped and looked up to see they were just in time; the mare let her eyes trace the bus' movement as it got closer to them.

(Like I said before, you can have some fun with the mishaps for the tour )

 

Sterling and Evening rushed out of the golden reception hall. Sterling could see the large blue tour bus reserved for the many tourists who registered for a tour across Mareis. The bus looked very full, leaving Sterling to assume that they were the last tourists the bus picked up before the tour started. As Sterling entered, he could see the blonde-haired pink mare who was to be their tour guide. She welcomed Sterling with a friendly smile as she spoke, "Hello there. You must be Sterling Crimson and Evening Glory. You two look like a match made in heaven. Hop on the tour that will take you across all of Mareis!" Sterling replied with a slight blush and a happy nod, "Well... thank you ma'am. We're very excited about the tour. I hope it will be a very good one." As Sterling took his seat, the bus door closed. 

 

The tour guide then directed the tourists' attention towards her as she spoke to the crowd, "Hello mares and gentlecolts! Welcome to Mareis! My name is Sunshine Sprinkle, and I'll be your tour guide through the city of lovers, Mareis! As you know, this city was named after a very famous mare as the Prench established their empire a thousand years ago. We will go through every part of Mareis, from the misty catacombs to the elegant Hoofsailles just off to the countryside! I sincerely hope you enjoy this wonderful tour of Mareis and gain some valuable knowledge as you tour Mareis on your own afterwards!" After her speech, Sunshine nodded to the bus driver who gave her a nod and then drove slowly away from the glamorous hotel...

Evening took a seat next to Sterling, still blushing a bit from Sunset Sprinkle's compliment towards them. As the bus started to move, she took note of the other ponies on the bus - most of them looked quite friendly, a few like cliché tourists, a few like couples and even a few families. One light orange mare in particular had  briefcase next to her and a very high quality camera around her neck and she seemed to be flicking through a few photos she had with her, her face showed she was anxious, she kept looking around the bus like she was missing something, her elegant dark purple mane bouncing with each move of her head. 

 

Evening looked away from her and looked out the window at the amazing city around them "Wow.." She whispered "I'm actually seeing it for real" turning her head to Sterling, she smiled "and I'm seeing it with you" she needn't even blush anymore, she had realized she didn't need to feel embarrassed about loving him anymore.

 

She heard a sudden gasp from where she was looking before, she turned around to see the light pink mare looking at her with wide eyes and an open, smiling mouth "Beau!" she gasped, walking towards the dark purple mare. As she walked towards her, Evening could see a horn appear from her elegant hairdo, it was glowing a shade of light pink and levitating some pieces of paper over to her direction. "Bonjour madame!" she spoke, her voice had a very elegant french accent "I am Passion Glow, but you may call me Passion. I am a photographer, I take pictures of models. I search Mareis in hope to find a new model for my new photo-shoot, but alas, I find nopony. Until I see you" she looked down and up the purple unicorn, from the tip of her horn to the bottom of her hoof "Your beauty if overwhelming. I simply cannot pass up an offer like this." she exclaimed, stomping her hoof on the floor

 

"Th-Th-Thank you.." Evening blushed, this pony was very good with her words "I-I'm Eve-Evening G-G-Glory, its lo-lovely to m-meet you, P-Passion" Passion gasped again "Even your name is beautiful!" she squealed "So, Evening Glory, will you take up my offer on modeling for me? You could be the next big thing!" she made a *squee* noise while grinning, but she could probably sense the amount of shyness in the mare in front of her "Or." She started, calming down "It could be a one-off thing. Whatever you chose" she rolled her hoof in the last sentence to express her point. Evening gulped, did she want to? She didn't know. She turned her head to Sterling, as if she was asking for his approval.

(That's a coincidence. But yeah, I guess that's a nice fit.)

 

Sterling was really confused about the offer being given by Passion Glow to his wife. He was really worried about Evening being a model... a model for lust for many stallions worldwide. That was the last thing Sterling wanted Evening to represented as. Deep down, he really didn't want to disappoint Passion Glow, but he just had to intervene at this stage; it just didn't feel right to him that Evening should be shown off like that.

 

Sterling then interrupted the conversation very carefully and spoke, "Umm... I'm Sterling Crimson. I'm Evening's husband. And... I... wouldn't really appreciate my Evie being used as a model for many stallions to whistle and enjoy themselves with. I'm... I'm sorry about this, but unless Evie really, really wants to do this, then I'm saying no. And by the looks of her face, I don't thinks she's too keen on it either." Sterling then side-hugged Evening closely to emphasize his point that they were a couple.

Evening smiled at Sterling, her message had seemed to get through to him. She turned towards Passion and gave her a small, sheepish smile, the light orange unicorn sighed and spoke "It is alright.. I understand how you feel, Mister Crimson." she smiled "You are so lucky to have such a beautiful, wonderful mare to be yours. No wonder you want to protect her" she bowed gracefully and gave them a small blessing in french that Evening recionised from her small knowledge of french, she watched Passion walk away to her seat (which was thankfully a bit away) and slowly and smiled again when she sat down, she turned towards Sterling and gave him a kiss on the cheek

"Thanks.." she breathed, her voice full of relief "I don't know what I would've done without you"

Sterling was relieved that the debacle with Passion Glow was dealt with quickly and smoothly. He knew deep down that Evening didn't want to be a model, especially with all the paparazzi and the snowball effect that would turn if he modeled even once. To Sterling, Evening was a beautiful mare because she tended her magical garden well and took good care of herself. It was as simple as that; any mare could be pretty if they did that. 

 

Sterling felt Evening's kiss with joy, knowing that Evening was his own. He was thankful for Passion's compliment, especially since he harboured the same feelings for Evening's looks. To him, Evening was somepony who he wanted to spend his whole life with. Her beauty, her shyness, and her modesty all stood out to him.

 

As the bus arrived at the Neighffel Tower, Sunshine stood up and spoke to the hoard of tourists, "Our first stop today is going to be the Neighffel Tower! I'm sure most of you already know about this amazing wonder of Equestria! It was built over a century ago to convey the glory of Prance through engineering at the time. It took around half a decade to complete, and many of Prance's citizens were eagerly waiting to see the structure finally completed! To Prench citizens today, it represents freedom and glamour that resonates all the world! Feel free to explore the Neighffel Tower and take pictures out at the garden walkway leading to the tower!" As the bus door opened, the families, couples walked out earnestly to have a view of the glorious Neighffel Tower. Sterling exited along with the tourists, excited to take pictures of Evening and to go up the tower...

Evenings eyes lit up when Sunset Sprinkle announced their first stop, she had to stop herself from gasping. She exited along side Sterling, staring up at the elegant tower the whole time, although she couldn't help but notice Passion Glow stay on the bus, still talking to her friend and starting to talk to Sunset.

 

She ignored them and went back to gazing at the tower. Its glorious structure hovering high above everypony, looking at it from the bottom made her vision spin around, it made her dizzy but she tried to resist putting her hoof to her head in reaction. She turned her head to her husband and grinned, she mouthed 'Wow!' and walked a tad closer to it, letting its hight overtake her own. Her face was glowing with happiness, she could feel it. She turned back to Sterling and smiled again "So, should we go up it?" she said, eyes and voice playful from her glow.

Sterling had just walked off the bus with Evening closely beside him. He was amazed at the beautiful Neighffel Tower that welcomed them. Sterling was very eager to go up the tower with glamorous Evening close by. He chuckled at the thought that Evening actually attracted a world class photo shooter for modelling. He heard Evening ask him playfully and happily about the Neighffel Tower. It was an obvious answer for Sterling, to which he gave cheerfully as he began to prance towards the tower, "What are we waiting for Evie?! Let's go! Last one to the entrance is a rotten pony!"

Evening giggled, he pranced after him, her curly mane bouncing behind her. She began to go just a bit faster until she was neck-and-neck with him. She was grinning the whole way, they soon skidded to a halt at the entrance, "You are so the rotten pony!" she chuckled, she loved it when they were playful together like this.

 

She kept her puffs of exsaustion silent as she flicked her tail from side to side of the pretend pride for the win she knew she didn't get, yet she tried to keep things fun, she even gave him a small daring smile that she would never give in any other siduation.

Sterling couldn't believe it, but it was indeed a tough race. Nonetheless, when the couple reached the entrance, it was clearer that it was a tie. Nonetheless, Sterling honestly felt that he won the race and he playfully replied to Evening, "Nu uhh!!! I won that fair and square! You're the rotten pony! I was ahead of you by a nose!" Nonetheless, Sterling couldn't help but compliment Evening's running speed; after all, Sterling wasn't a bad runner himself. "You still gave me a run for my money though! Man I wouldn't have thought you could run that fast!" Complimented Sterling as the entrance beheld the couple.

 

The Neighffel Tower was everything Sterling expected. It was a wonderful steel tower just as one would see it on the advertisements! It stood very proudly as it towered over everypony else in Mareis. The line wasn't very long thankfully, and Sterling was able to get to to the ticket centre very quickly to buy a couple's ticket to go up the Neighffel Tower...

Evening pretended to roll her eyes "Oh, fine" she finally said after stalling for a few seconds "You win." she smiled, and listened to his compliment towards her, she grinned as he finished "Well, my father says I was quite the athlete before we moved" she chuckled, adding a small wink. She looked up to see they were nearly at the front of the line, just one couple in front of them until they could final go up the Neighffel Tower.

Sterling waited eagerly for the couple to keep moving along so they could buy their tickets. When they finally finished, The ticket master, a brown pony with a dark brown mane, welcomed the couple to the Neighffel Tower. Sterling asked with amiability for the tickets through which they would pay 20 bits for the couple. After Sterling paid, the yellow tickets were given to the couple and Sterling happily trotted into the elevator. It was an elevator with walls of glass at the top half and walls of black steel at the bottom half. Sterling felt securely placed as he entered the elevator. When it closed, the elevator slowly began to elevate. 

 

As the elevator lifted the tourists and Sterling, Sterling looked out the window, eager to see the view. Even though the steel bars obstructed some of the view, he could clearly see the sparkling river reflecting the sun's rays. He motioned to Evening, "Come Evie! Have a look now! Check out the river! It's so beautiful! Everything looks so green and new from here! It's already an amazing view from here! Imagine the top!"

Evening walked over to Sterling and looked over the edge. The view took her breath away, the alignment of buildings was even stunning from where they were, she could see why Mareis was the most popular part of Prance. The mare suddenly recall her husband saying something about a river, she looked around and soon found the one he was talking about. Its water was sparkling beautifully from her eyes, it reminded her so much of the pond in... 'No' she though 'One day, but not today'

She smiled at the view, scouring over everything she could, every little detail, every building and pony in the scene that made everything stand out, it was all amazing.

The elevator had finally reached the top. After Sterling looked at the beautiful, sparkling river that glowed from the ground, the elevator came to a gradual halt. The steel doors opened, and Sterling excitedly walked out of the elevator. The view was tremendous. Off to his left he could see skyscrapers that represented Prance's richness in commercials dealings. In front of him he could see the gleaming river and the beautiful antique buildings that arose hundreds of years ago. Finally, to his right, he could see the famed Notre Mare Cathedral. An amazing sight it was as it stood high above but not as high as the Neighffel Tower. Sterling admired this view and he motioned Evening to look around beside him in pure happiness and joy.

Evening, again, joined the crimson stallion to watch the world beneath them, it was even more breathtaking from the top. She could see more elegant and old buildings from this high, she could also start to see some gardens around the place, amazing flower-filled gardens. The city, from Evenings view, made everything and everypony look special, the locals seemed to ignore the flaws in lots of things and just staring at the city from this view made Evening think about how lucky they were to live in such a beautiful place, no wonder they treated everything with so much.. respect.

Sterling continued to look around with admiration. He wondered to himself, 'Why isn't Manehattan like this? If only I could transform Manehattan. Everything in it is roads and apartments. We need some green in Manehattan!  I guess we could start with our humble garden and my clinic work. Being a garden there... yes indeed.' He then took pictures of the beautiful view after taking out his Neighkon Camera, glad to have stored an important point to his marriage with Evening.

 

As Sterling continued to look around, the elevator door opened behind him. It was Sunshine, their tour guide. She approached the happy couple and then spoke, "Mr. Crimson and Mrs. Glory? We've got to get going soon. I suggest you come down and take some pictures in the garden before you leave today." Sterling nodded at the tour guide as he began to walk towards the elevator. He could tell that Evening really enjoyed the view, but he had to get Evening to come along. He spoke with caution to Evening, "Hey Evie. We've got to get going soon. I'd like to take pictures of you by the garden before we keep going with the rest of the tour."

The mare turned around, her time was over, she supposed she could come back though. Evening nodded and walked beside Sterling into the elevator. The guide let a few other ponies on the tour into the elevator before shutting the door behind them, she pushed the 'G' button and with a small jolt, the elevator moved downwards to the ground level. Evenings heart still glowed with happiness from looking over the view from the top of the Neighffel Tower, she was upset that they were now coming down, but they had more sites to see.

Sterling was sad to see Evening's face as they went down the elevator. It only felt like a few minutes on the Neighffel Tower to him. He really wanted to spend some more time at the top, so he made this promise to Evening, "Evie. On the second last day of our honeymoon, we will go back up the Neighffel Tower and spend as much time as we're allowed up there ok? I was personally sad not to have been able to enjoy the view more." 

 

When the elevator reached the ground, the doors opened and Sterling walked out calmly. He approached the garden and motioned for Evening, "Hey Evie. Would you like to be a model for me? I'd like to take a few pictures of you and us together before we leave the Neighffel Tower to continue with the rest of the tour." Sterling then took out his camera as he began to excitedly take pictures around the garden and as he waited for Evening to pose for the camera.

"Oh, uhm, sure" she said, walking over to in front of the camera. Evening was quite photo-shy and didn't very much like photos being taken of her, but she suppose this one time, for him, she could. "Um, w-what should I pose as.. doing?" she asked, smiling and blushing gingerly
