my first drawing attempt

So I spent about an hour drawing this, its bad.. but the reason im posting is to find out what do you like. And what do you not like? And does anypony have any tips?

The pony itself is very disproportionate.  The head is too small and the body is too large.  The mane is very strainy.  I would work on proportions and the mane.  The background is not too bad.  Nice job for the first.

As for a first drawing, I must say it is a good first attempt. I do concur on the proportions on the body and head. But it doesn't really matter, just keep practicing. That's how I managed to draw ponies finally. It also depends on what program you are using. For example MSPaint is quite constrained when it comes to drawing capabilities. All in all, it's good.

its pretty good mate just need to work on the proportions a bit there is a great deviant art page on the base body proportions if you feel like you want to try your luck at hand drawing

I posted a 'Drawing Ponies' thread in the 'Creative Resources' subthread. In that thread I posted various bases for drawing ponies and other small components. I had trouble drawing ponies, however the bases in that thread that I posted helped me significantly. If you'd like you can go over to that thread and see if it helps.
