Breakfast, or... something else?" She rocked herself back and forth, waiting for Fender's answer. Her eyes looked him expectantly. There was an idea inside her mind, but she didn't want to push her own agenda to the stallion.

Fender grinned slyly, "Well...if you're referring to our little...episode on the train, I'm all for that." He chuckled, "Plus, there's much more room in here than in that bloody train car. Let's just not dirty up the room like we did the one in the cloud house..." He snickered at the thought, Autumn had that sheet-cleaning coming after scaring Fender the day before the wedding.

Winterglade nearly snorted hearing Fender's comment on what happened yesterday morning. She smacked his shoulder playfully. "Oh come on! I'm sure we can get a cleaning service or something. Now, you..." Winterglade bit her lips. Slowly she slid closer to her stallion and started kissing him right there in the middle of the living room. From the outside, no birds dared to approach the house for a good while.

...

It was noon. The sun shone brightly right above Winterglade's head, but the cold wind from the mountaintop cooled her and the balcony enough for her to be comfortable. She was lying on her back, her hooves curled above her, happily letting the wind stroking her warm underbelly. She sighed in content, her eyes closed. "That was... new," she chuckled. "Hey, Fender, how do you like your carrots? Fried, stir-fry, or made into a soup?"

He was laying next to his wife. He chuckled, "Fresh, actually. Heheheh," He rolled over on his side and hugged her. "You get more beautiful every day, y'know that?" He pecked her cheek. "C'mon, let's go make some food." He said, getting up. "We can't spend the whole honeymoon laying down." He laughed.

Winterglade rolled her eyes. She was still feeling like enjoying the cold weather with Fender, but a meal of fresh carrots sound more enticing. "Okay then, big boy." She yawned and rolled over to get up. On the way to the refrigerator she stole a kiss on Fender's cheeks. "And you're also getting cuter everyday," she said cheekily.

Carrots, turnips, cabbage, cucumber... Whoever prepared the vegetables certainly didn't spare any expenses, Winterglade mused. There was even this tiny broccoli at the back. She grabbed a handful of fresh carrots and gave some of them to Fender. She bit into her own carrot stick. "Hm, not exactly the freshest carrot, but it still smells much better than the preserved ones in Manehattan."

"Thanks, honey." He kissed her on the cheek, then took a bite of his carrot as well. It was refreshing. "So...how are we going to spend the rest of this honeymoon vacation we're on?" He chuckled, "Frankly, I don't know quite where to start. Vanhoover is pretty big. What do you think?"

Winterglade giggled and bopped Fender's snout. "You said it yourselves! Vanhoover is pretty big, and unlike Manehattan, not all of it are industrial or whatever office work districts. There are a lot of tourist attractions, food courts, souvenir centers, and... What's that?" She trailed. Her eyes caught a flyer that just landed on the balcony. Carrots still nibbled on her snout, she trotted to lift it up and read it. She took a moment to reread it and turned to Fender. "Oh dear, it's a warning pamphlet for the incoming snowstorm." Her thoughts wandered. Could this be related to that flocks of pegasi she saw from earlier?

Fender slumped over, chewed the inside of his cheek for a moment, and raised an eyebrow. "Aww...ah well." he got back up. "Guess this'll give us more time to uhm...y'know." he chuckled. "Unless of course you've got some form of entertainment. Personally, I think we've exercised enough today." He winked.

Winterglade pouted. Not that she would mind it to do what they just did together once every hour all day, but she also wanted to do something else during their honeymoon. She walked and sat next to Fender and rubbed her neck to his, she chuckled. "Oh you... You know I like that, but I also want to explore the city while we can do it. I'm not sure we can visit Vanhoover again in the near future. Besides, the sky is still clear. I'm sure the snowstorm is still far away... right?" She fluttered her wings slightly, her eyes hopeful. She can't really predict the weather like any weather pegasi, but the sky was indeed lacking in any huge cloud.

"Anyway, there is supposed to be a food court somewhere nearby. How does that sound?"

The idea made Fender uneasy. If there was a snowstorm coming, it could potentially be a danger to them. He sighed in defeat when he looked into her eyes, then chuckled, "Ohhh...as long as we get indoors as soon as possible and stay there. Okay? No wandering around too much." He lead them out the door. Some clouds started moving in by the time they got to the food court. They weren't anything serious, but they were still being moved in at somewhat of an alarming rate. Fender looked worriedly at Winterglade, "Let's go ahead and get inside..." Not long after that, they entered the food court.

"Yay!" Winterglade raised her hoof in triumph, a grin adorned her face. She quickly dashed about to prepare herself and the required bag of bits for the quick trip to the food court. In a short while the two were already trotting to the food court.

Fender looked worriedly at Winterglade, "Let's go ahead and get inside..." Not long after that, they entered the food court.

Winterglade nodded. She also noticed the sudden cloud movement above the city, her idea became worse as the time goes. "Alright. Buy enough foods for both of us for today and gallop back to the villa," she said, a bit worried.

The food court was relatively spacious, two lines of shops circled the open area full of tables where ponies can eat on. Above, a round transparent roof gave a meager protection against the sunlight, but it wouldn't help much against any snowstorm. Winterglade quickly trotted to a cake shop and ordered, "Hello there! can I have two black forest cake and one cheese cake on the go? What? You only have the regular chocolate and cheese cake? Uh, okay, I'll take two, then." When the shop attendee moved to prepare the cake, Winterglade turned to Fender. "Is there anything that interests you around here? There should be all kind of foods in here."

"I'm not feeling particularly picky right now," He chuckled uneasily, "Let's just get what we need and go."

The two did exactly that. Halfway to their villa, the clouds and snow started coming in more heavily. The flew as fast as they could to the villa, only barely evading the snow and getting inside. Fender was panting, "That...that was close..." He laughed, "Well...let's not push our luck next time there is a storm..." He said as he set his bags down in the kitchen.

"On it!" As soon as she got her cakes, Winterglade galloped to the next store and bought assorted bunch of dried flowers. The sky started to darken, Winterglade panicked when the first snow hit her mane. The stores were closing all around her when Winterglade and Fender flew as fast as they could to their villa.

Fender was panting, "That...that was close..." He laughed, "Well...let's not push our luck next time there is a storm..." He said as he set his bags down in the kitchen.

Winterglade wheezed, her heart pounding. She screamed when the balcony doors slammed shut by the increasingly terrifying wind outside. She grabbed Fender for life, her eyes bulging in fear. "S-Sorry I asked to visit the food court," she whimpered. She dearly hoped that the building was as strong as it looked beautiful.

"It's fine! It's okay." he said with a bit of laughter in his voice. "We'll be fine." He hugged her tightly, and sat them down. "Hey, there was something I wanted to talk about though..." He cleared his throat, "I mean...we've been really...uhm...hyperactive, with our sexual activity. I mean, I don't want to stop, no. You're my wife, I'm absolutely comfortable with you, but...we should probably just be careful. We'll end up as parents in no time at this rate." He laughed. He had to let his laughter die down though, "I'm not sure I'd be ready to be a parent..." He looked down. The thought engulfed his mind. If they became parents within the next year...would they be able to handle the responsibilities? Parts of him didn't want that to happen at all. Yet at the same time, he wanted nothing more than to bring life into Equestria. There was an unsure look on his face.

Winterglade fell silent. She slid closer to Fender, burying much of herself in his embrace. Her eyes avoided his, doubt was clear in hers. She was reluctant to admit that, ultimately, Fender was right. "I'm sorry," she mumbled. She felt bad for pushing her own lust against him. "I'm just... thinking that I owe my mother something for leaving her." She bit her lips. How should she explain herself to her husband? The cakes and dried flowers from earlier were left forgotten on the table.

"I'm sorry I didn't talk to you about it. If you want to, we can postpone the foal until whenever you feel ready." She paused and leaned closer to him. Her lean frame was easily only worth half of his bulk, and she was comfortable with that fact. Yes, for now she would talk with him whenever she's planning for anything. She looked up at him, apologetic. "Can you forgive me?" she asked.

"Can you forgive me?" she asked.

Fender tilted his head at the mare, in confusion, "Forgive you? You've done nothing wrong." He smiled, "We're in this together. I just think too much and worry about things sometimes...and I vent by talking it out..." He continued smiling. "Even though I may not be ready now...if we do end up with a foal, I will make myself ready, and adapt. Not just for me, or for you, but also for our foal." He kissed her on the cheek, nuzzled her, then rubbed her back. "Sex...doesn't have to be something we're afraid of. Not even something either of us have to be ready for, as you've shown me earlier." He chuckled, "But if you want to have a foal, just tell me. Okay? Just tell me when you think you're ready." He hugged her tightly.

Winterglade purred happily at the show of affection. Her wings even involuntarily flapped themselves when Fender rubbed her back. It was definitely nice to feel loved. She chuckled as she moved in to kiss Fender's nose; her cheeks already blushing. "Thanks..."

She nodded in agreement. "Got it. But... I would rather talk it out with you, later when the weather got better of course." The temperature slowly dropped in the living room, but it wasn't enough to made them shiver yet. Winterglade rested her head on Fender and decided to just enjoy the moment for now. The cakes can wait. She was about to comment on the sudden snowstorm when she noticed a curiously shaped shadow on the balcony, outside the windowed doors. It certainly didn't look like it was made by random birds or trees. "What is that...?" Winterglade wondered, somewhat scared. The shadow was unmoving despite the harsh wind outside.

Outside, a pony was sitting on the balcony, seemingly not giving any flying muffin on the snowstorm. The pony was too small to be an adult. A black cape and a hood could be seen covering the pale blue fur. Should one examined it closer, the shadow seemed to be rocking itself back and forth to the chaotic tune of the wind.

Fender walked up to the glass that shown the figure. It looked like an adolescent pony, but he wasn't sure. He wasn't even sure if it was safe to alert the figure. He decided to go along and do so...using the edge of his hoof, he knocked on the window to get the figure's attention.

Winterglade tip-toed right next to Fender, wings were all too ready to run for it should the shadow turned out scary. She whimpered. "Are you sure this is a good idea...?" she asked. She understood that they should help anypony in need should the occasion arise, but on this one, the shadow didn't seem to need any kind of help at all.

The shadow outside stopped moving, ears perked. The hood turned back, revealing a familiar face. Winterglade was quick to recognize the pony, she would've recognized that face anywhere. "Springsteps?" she asked, unsure. The filly outside the storm waved a hoof excitedly and smiled. Her lips opened and closed as if speaking, but no words could be heard under the snowstorm. Winterglade grew restless. "Springsteps, what are you doing there!?" she yelled out. The mare paced on the floor. Opening the window to retrieve the filly wouldn't be very easy, but not doing so didn't seem like a very good idea.

Fender's jaw dropped at what was happening. He wasted no time throwing open the window, and fighting his way through the wind and snow to fly to the balcony where Springsteps was. He quickly grabbed the filly in both forelegs, and flew her into the villa. He set her down and slammed the window shut, in order to fight off the wind. "Springsteps?! What are you doing here?" He said, worriedly.

Winterglade quickly jumped out of the way when Fender threw open the window. The harsh wind dumped a large amount of snow into the room, covering everything in it in rough layers of frost. Fender gallantly swooped in Springsteps, but the filly only shrieked excitedly as if everything around her was a carnival ride.

"Springsteps?! What are you doing here?" He said, worriedly.

Winterglade slowly peeked her head out from behind the couch. After making sure that the window was closed, she quickly galloped and pulled the still laughing filly to a tight hug. "Why are you here, where is your mother? And... What's so funny?" She couldn't help but to feel slightly irritated at the filly's inexplicable mirth.

Springsteps struggled to stop laughing, she hiccuped twice before finally calming down. She sighed and spoke, "Sorry! It's just very surprising to see you two again!" She looked back and forth between Fender and Winterglade, then at the interior of the villa. "Looks like you two are staying in here? This is fantastic! You see, my mum and dad are having a serious adult business, they can't take me along with them and they have to leave me behind but of course they can't just leave me alone so they left their crystals with me so I can be safe anywhere anytime and stay warm even without them to keep an eye on me and they will always know where I am and what I am doing so they can just teleport me back to them when things goes wrong and..." The filly stopped to take a deep, long breath, but Winterglade quickly silenced the filly with a hoof, nodding rapidly while doing so. Under the white hoof, Springsteps was still speaking her mind out.

"Okay, Okay! I understand. But how did you get here?" Winterglade asked. Springsteps lifted her cape and uncovered that the interior was nearly completely covered with all kind of gems, each were shining an eerie light and stitched tightly to the piece of clothing. Winterglade blinked a few times in disbelief. Springsteps took this chance to release herself from the mare and trotted around the living room, happily commenting on how big the room was. Winterglade facehoofed. "This is unbelievable..."

Winterglade couldn't help but to agree with Fender. Even if she was sure that they could take care of their own foals, in the future, Springsteps was Wonder Shrine's, any slip-ups on their part would mean disaster. "Yeah... We should told her to get back to her mother as fast as she could, if that's even possible," she replied, unsure. The filly in question herself was busy ogling at the Celestia painting. Winterglade looked at the outside, the snowstorm didn't show any sign that it would go away anytime soon. The teleportation gems, or whatever it was, they better work as Springsteps told her.

Cautiously Winterglade trotted and sat next to Springsteps. "Uh, Springsteps? Shouldn't you stay around with the rest of your... clan? I'm sure that some adults there would love to take care of you when your parents are busy elsewhere. Traveling around without any direct supervision, even if your mother gave you all of those gems, is very very dangerous. What if somepony took away your coat when you're sleeping?" She turned to Fender and motioned the stallion to help her convincing the filly, who still looked oblivious about everything around her.

Fender joined in, with a half-worried look on his face. "She's right, Springsteps. If you could be taken care of by your clan, you probably should be. We're still...kind of strangers to you and your family...why come here?" He was honestly confused, when he took it into consideration that she would be here.

Hearing both pegasi mentioning her 'clan' had distracted Springsteps from the painting. Her eyes dropped. After a brief moment of doubt she spoke, "There is no clan."

That took Winterglade by surprise. "What do you mean there is no clan? I'm sure your mother mentioned something about her from the Greenhoof clan when we just met back in the train." She had assumed that by the 'clan,' there were more of her relatives around her.

Springsteps shook her head, her smile had narrowed. "My mother is the last of it. Everypony else from her family refused to continue the tradition. There is no pony else to take care of me. The caravan ponies are already busy enough with their own foals." She looked up at Fender and Winterglade, her glistening eyes widened, and begged, "Can I stay here, please?"
