The pony screamed as his knee was bursted by Jonny's bullets.

"Party's over!"

He activated one of the explosives.

"Blblblblbl!"

The teleported away, just as the explosive went off, activating many others. The explosion blew up half of the train.

----BACK AT THE BANDIT HIDEOUT----

The green pony teleported back.

"The hell happened to you?"

"The fucker shot me... atleast the train is pretty much gone..."

He wrapped his knee in bandages and the bandits started to play cards.

Johnny was blown back by the explosion, he stood up and dusted himself off, he stared at the fire, he sighed, the raider got away and blew up the train, but at least he made sure the pony wouldnt be able to walk for a while, now he really needed to find cleo and who ever else would march upon the university with him, he hoped the explosion would help cleo  come to the area

Iris heard a loud explosion and ducked. The fire roared on as smoke began to come closer to the area, making the unicorn's eyes water. One word came to mind as the dust from the explosion died down. "Bandits," she muttered, both scared and angered at the same time. After awhile, Iris dozed off to sleep. She was in her warm bed, snuggled up under the blankets. It was quite nice, a feeling the mare missed very much. Her mother shook her.

"Iris, honey, wake up! We don't have much time!" Iris opened her eyes to see her house ablaze. 'No...' Her whole world was burning in front of her. She quickly got out of her bed and ran down the stairs.

'No, please, no...' There were pieces of the ceiling falling down to the burning floor. Suddenly, a huge piece of rubble fell between Iris and the rest of her family. "Keep going, honey, we'll find a way out!" yelled her father.

'Please...' Iris found a small exit, and squeezed through and out of the burning building, leaving her family to burn. She sat atop a hill, being checked out by doctors for her burns, and watching all of her happiness die along with her family.

"Nooo!" Iris woke up screaming 'no,' having arose from a nightmare. There were tears streaming down her face, remembering that terrible night. 'You should've died with them,' Idiots told herself, staring at the flames.

Cleo's ears prickled. She heard a rather big explosion, and it didn't sound too far away. Maybe it's the others? The bandits might've tried to blow 'em up.

 

The earth pony galloped to where she thought the explosion had been, as fast as she could. Nearby was a huge building, and it still looked quite beautiful despite everything that had happened. I wonder what it is. She thought as soon as she saw it.

" Hey, you okay?" Lyona had still been awake, staring into the fire herself. She looked at the unicorn, an eyebrow raised.

Johnny walked away from the train in search of cleo, after a while he found her in front of a pristine looking building "Friendship Tower" he said walking up to her "an entire building devoted to friendship and the betterment of pony kind, quite an important building" now standing beside her, looking at it @@LittleRawr,

Cleo looked up at it. " It's nice, but seems like it's useless. Never heard of it before this either. " She then looked at Johnny. " What happened over there? I heard a huge explosion, so I came running as fast as I could." The earth pony was still a little out of breath.

" a bandit teleported in and blew the train up with explosives, i managed to shoot out his knee caps before he teleported away so he wont be walking any time soon" he sighed a little "pretty soon im going to gather a force and march on the university, and take it back from raiders and bandits who inhabit it" @@LittleRawr,

" At least you managed to shoot him." Cleo sighed, then an idea formed in her mind. She looked at Johnny with a grin. " What 'bout we sneak in, grab a book or two and some supplies, then sneak out? You could use those spells to fully take the university when you do gather up a force."

he thought for a moment "now thats good thinking, we should probably move while its still dark" follow me, i know how to get to it from here" he started walking to the university he started mentally planning the infiltration,  using his memory of the place@@LittleRawr,

Cleo nodded, and trotted after him. " Do they have anything for Earth ponies? Like, any special equipment? That would be cool..." She fantasized about jetpacks, earth pony magic adapters and generally important things that wouldn't generally be in a university.

Johnny chuckled a bit, "well, the place was a unicorn only school, seeing how it was a school of magic, but who knows what the scientists made in the labs, ive heard everything from genetically making a salamander with a 3rd eye to a mechanical wing harness" he chuckled "dont know how true it was"

" Unicorn only? Pah." Cleo made a face. She listened on to the rest, and her ears perked up when she heard the words 'mechanical wing harness'. " That would be so cool! I'd be able to snipe at everypony from up high, and they won't even know that it's me." She rubbed her hooves together.

Johnny chuckled "well, we will see if we can sneak into the research labs and see if the thing exists, but im not going to do it if its too risky, dont want to get our selves killed, speaking of which, how good are you at sneaking around?" he asked her, "im fairly decent at it" @@LittleRawr,

She shrugged. " I'm okay. I never really had much reason to sneak around since the war, since I usually just charge. My white fur is good for hiding in the snow, though." Cleo then looked at the surrounding landscape, and back at Johnny. " When are we gonna get there? It's taking forever."

Johnny chuckled "heh dont worry, ill respect your mental privacy" after a while they came upon the walls of the university "ok, we are on the west side of the campus, approaching the front gate would be suicide, im going to teleport us in then ill begin telepathy, here we go" he put his arm around her and they teleported to the on the other side of the wall, in some shadows

Straight observed the buildings that the lifesigns were coming out of. She was on the top floor.

"Best head through the roof"

With a poof he was on the apartment next to the building. With another jaunt he was at the roof access door. One flight of stairs later he was at the door to the top floor. Lifesigns put 3 ponies in the room with Heartbeat. Magic surrounded his pistol and AR as he breached the door and readied a flash spell.

Blue picked up Acid and grabbed the hostage's collar "Raze, so I'm guessing you're coming with me to the university?" 

Blue levitated Acid onto his back "you have any plans kid?" Blue grunted and yanked on the mare's collar

"Hello Straight Shot"

There she was, behind a desk. The ponies around her were pointed guns at Straight.

"Stand down boys, he's mine"

Heartbeat moved around the desk, she almost looked like a sister to that pegasus Snowdrop from that one story. Except she had a snow white mane with highlights of red. A cutie mark of a heart was displayed on her flank. She looked as though she hadn't aged a day since that.

"You have been looking for me? Well here I am. The question is, what are you going to do?"

Straight's heart was in his throat. He couldn't bring any words to his mouth. He just stared at her. She was the reason for all of this. This madness, this guilt. All he wanted was to make things right. The gun dropped to the ground, Straight was on his knees. It was too much.

Tears began to block his vision.

"There, there. I forgive you, but you are going to have to do something for me."

Heartbeat's horn glowed a dark red. The light shone through Straight's vision. The light blinded him. Everything was white. Heartbeat's voice once again rang in his head.

"You will feel how I feel."

That was the last thing Straight remembered.

Cleo blinked. " Woah. That's some crazy shit right there. Does teleporting do this to you all the time?" She whispered, holding a hoof to her head. Shaking her head only made the dizziness worse. The double vision was starting to fade, though. If teleporting feels like this all the time, I'm not sure I want to teleport again.

Straight Shot collapsed to the floor with a wave of magic.

 

"That ought to keep him occupied for a bit. Take him down to the holding area." Heartbeat ordered

 

The ponies carried Straight out of the room. Leaving his weapons and supplies.

 

Heartbeat barked after them "And get that green pony up here, he might want to see what we caught today"

 

Heartbeat walked over to the dropped supplies, fishing out the wolf meat from his bag.

 

"Straight, you were so careful. But you never bothered to check your own meat for magic properties."

 

With a flash of her horn the magic in the meat was taken out and turned into a fine powder. Another pony walked in waiting for orders. Heartbeat opened up an old salt shaker, dumped out the salt and put the powder into the container.

"Make sure that you put this powder into all his meals and drinks. Don't give him straight water, I haven't figured out how to mask the color yet."

 

The bandit pony took the shaker and headed downstairs. Heartbeat fished into Straight's bag yet again and took out his precious cigarettes. Using his lighter, Heartbeat lit one and took a long drag of smoke.

 

"Everything is going according to plan."

 

(Like I said, hopefully Firestorm will approve the character and maybe we can get some villain interactions. Keep your hooves crossed)

using telepathy he responded, -only the first few times, just take a few deep breaths and the effects will wear off- he looked around -ok, stick close and follow me, and keep to the shadows for now, it doesnt seem to be any power in the building, so sneaking shouldnt be too hard-

Cleo took some deep breaths as he had recommended. She did start to feel better. ​The dizziness is probably gonna take a couple of seconds to wear off, I hope. Okay, I'm following you. Are you sure you know where to go? Behind her frontmost thoughts, little theories and ideas buzzed around, as well as other random things.
