-yeah i know where to go, the labs are the west wing, we can check the book store for magical spell books, im sure one of these rooms has been converted into an armory- he snuck through the shadows -there are suprisingly little guards out but lets be cautious-

Blue carried Acid and dragged the mare into the university and made his way to the door "Hey mare... you said this place was full of your bandit friends... nice try, but lying to me wasn't the best idea" Blue hung the mare upside down with his magic "Tell me... where are your bandit friends?"

They're probably in some room playing poker or somethin'. Cleo rolled her eyes. She noticed a still alive daisy plant in a pot, but when she touched it, it had a plastic-like feel. Aww, and I was really feeling like a daisy sandwich right there... Cleo thought sadly, following Johnny.

Johnny looked around making sure the coast was clear -see that building there?- he pointed to a large building in the center of the campus -thats the Grand Center, all the admin, gyms, and cafeteria are, its also where the book store is, we need to find a way there- @@LittleRawr,

What about we just run across as quickly as possible? We haven't seen any bandits yet, they might be in another building. Cleo suggested. Or, we find a way up onto that bridge thing which connects the two buildings. We might be found, and cornered from both sides, though. I'm not sure where the stairs are either. Cleo's thoughts were organized and focused, for once. Oooh, and do you think we can find a guitar there?

Johnny looked around -we do need to find a way into the main complex, standing outside in the snow wont do us any good, you may not like this,but using memory, i can teleport to a restroom in the lobby, the bookstore isnt too far from there, as for a guitar. they dont sell them in the bookstore, we would most likely find one in either the music classroom, or one of the dorm rooms-

(Sorry for being gone for so long. )

Iris heard the noises of a teleportation spell and walked outside. All she got to see was a few sparkles in the air. 'I wonder where they're going,' she thought, heading back to her small home as the sun rose. 'I haven't tried a teleportation spell in a long time...'she thought as the snow hit the roof. 'It's probably because I am like a blind pony, I have no idea where to go.'

Cleo stuck her tongue out. Teleportation? Again? Gaaah... Fine, make it quick. And don't teleport us into a wall or something, that would be horrible.

Lyona looked up from her things when Iris walked in. " Everypony else left, huh? We could try to go after them, they said they were going to the university..." She mused.

One of the ponies stuck his head in the door,

"We couldn't find him. He must be out raiding that new group"

 

"Damn" Heartbeat replied, "I'm not going to stand around all day waiting for the boys to finish playing with the guests. I'm going to the university, I need a new book."

 

The pony shuddered at that statement.

"But m'am, those newcomers might be around, they have been shooting almost everyone on sight. At least let us go with you. Our boss wouldn't want you to get killed."

 

Heart barked back

"Then I will deal with them. You all stay here and keep that pony in the cell. I don't give a damn what they think."

 

Heartbeat donned her coat and stepped out onto the roof. The University was a couple of jaunts away from there. With a hop skip and a jump she was already overlooking the University.

 

"Time to checkout a new book" she thought as she teleported in through one of the windows.

-here we go- he put his arm around her and teleported off, they reappered in a rest room in the lobby, he looked around, curious -im surprised by the lack of graffiti...this is strange, youd think a bandit hide out would be full of it- he walked out of the rest room and peered out the door -theres the book store across from us...somethings not right here...- he slowly walked out and into the bookstore -these books are untouched, stacked neatly, then that must mean....- then he he turned to her and just said "this isnt a bandit hide out, that one bandit lied to cover her tracks...this is the best lie ever....before i get too over confident, im going to check the dorms" he then teleported away

Cleo raised her hoof, wanting to stop him, but he was gone. She blew the hair out of her face, irritated. Might as well go check that damn bookstore, huh? Maybe I'll find something useful... She walked in, quietly. There's probably nopony here, but it can't hurt to be cautious, right? Sheesh, I'm being a real wimp right now... It's just creepy...

a few minutes later, he came back, he was levitating an electric guitar, he walked up to her "i was right, this place hasnt been touched, not really, very little damage, this place is ours, this place will need some fixing up before it can be converted into a small community, but hey, this is the first real good news we have had in a while" he floated the guitar over to her

Her eyes widened. " Sweet! This is a top of the line guitar too, I've never even touched one of these babies before." She grabbed the guitar and plucked one of the strings. A note sounded out, loud and clear. " It's even magically amplified!" Cleo's voice was giddy with excitement as she looked at the guitar. She looked up. " Thank-you!"

"hey, no problem!" he himself sounded happy, he starts looking for spell books "so where should we start with this place? fortifying the gate? or restoring power? theres plenty to do now that we own this place" he floats over a health magic book and starts flipping through it @@LittleRawr,

"Dammit" Heartbeat thought as she hid underneath the bookstore desk. The two ponies had come in as she was checking for an inventory list of the books. "All I wanted was a book."

 

Heartbeat stayed still and tried to get a look at them. Her mental magic could only work on someone under that drug that Straight was doped up on. All she had other than that was her teleport spell and tracking spells. As she tried to steal a look at them, she accidentally kicked the desk chair behind the checkout counter.

Johnny dropped the book and spun around, pointing both his guns at her, the noise had caught him off guard "who are you and what do you want?" his happy tone had changed back to his normal calm and cold tone "no sudden movements, and i wont shoot just state your name and your business"

Cleo's guns were out in seconds, both aimed at the stranger. She shot some bullets at the floor underneath the pony, eyes narrowed.

 

" Make a move that I don't like, and we'll get a nice new mural of pony brains." Cleo smirked, but her tone was icy.

Her pistol and knife were in her coat, but if she even could make a move for them, they'd take her out.

"what kind of book? tell me which one of these spell books you intend to borrow and i might lend it to you for a while" he said to her, keeping his eyes on her and his guns trained on her, though he was slowly lowering them as he was registering that she wasnt much of a threat

"Whatever book I damn well want to read. And who said anything about loaning it out? Last I checked this place was empty and anyone could take what they wanted. If you two think you can move in here, you better change your mind. The power is shot, the water pipes are frozen and the neighbors are to die for."

 

Heartbeat knew they weren't gonna shoot her. She reached back carefully and grabbed the list she had found and started looking through for anything that popped out at her

Cleo shot at the floor again, very close to her hoof. The splinters flew and hit her. " Don't do anything we don't tell you to do. We got magic, and that pretty much fixes everything. If you think that I'm not going to shoot at you, think again. I'm just feeling pretty happy right now, or else you would have already been dead."

"i already laid claim to this place, it will be its own community, the reason i say loaned out, is because i would like the book returned once your done using it, i will not stand by and watch this once great and prestigious establishment looted from, and the reason i ask which book is because i need books on health and heat based magic" he sighed "if you have any respect for this place, the Equestrian University of Magic, youll return what you take once your done using it"

Blue carried the hostage upstairs and Acid followed, "Ok ms.hostage, yes I will be referring you by the name ms.Hostage from now on"

Blue chuckled and continued "Ms.Hostage please... mares first, please put a meat shield in front for me" Blue shoved the hostage in front of him and walked through the hallway and bumped into Jonny Cleo And Straightshot.

"oh cool... once again we're back together" Blue sheepishly smiled and lowered his revolver.

"Well don't you have an itchy trigger finger, try not to waste so much ammo on me. Save it for the bandits that'll show up cause of all the noise."

"Buddy you got it all wrong" Heartbeat flipped a page, "If you claim it, it's yours. But this place was Fillydelphia's long before you decided to throw a flag on it. Notice how clean it is around here? The bandits take this area seriously and try to keep it clean. Also they won't take to kindly to the bullet hole in the floorboards. I keep it maintained here as well, and like to keep it that way. You wanna use the books or the facilities, then you find a place nearby and visit like me. You don't just put up your camp right at the watering hole and demand everypony plays by your rules
